Stuck at Cryptic Launcher Auto-update.

Hi all.

Trying to launch the game from Steam. When I launch the game I get a small window popping up titled "Cryptic Launcher Auto-update" which states "Trying to update the launcher, please be patient" with an update amount which runs down from 27 mb.

At different points in this countdown the box resets itself and begins anew at 27mb.

I've not been able to find any fixes for this. Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is preventing me from playing STO. It has been an ongoing issue for a significant period of time, only now I am resolved to fix the problem to give me access to the game.

I'm having this problem too... Right now it's the 3rd time the "Cryptic Launcher Autoupdate" has started back from 27.8 MB. I don't even know what the download is about.

Have you solved this problem anyway?

Sadly not, I was hoping for some assistance from this source but nothing as of yet I fear.
