So the DPS league just got a buff? Nice, I want no part in it.

My only issue with the set, is the weapon bonuses. They are tailored for Federation armaments, but the set can be equipped on any ship. Are there any plans to remove the +Phaser & +Photon dmg bonuses, and make them vanilla Energy & Projectile dmg bonuses?

Can't think why they would. There are plenty of sets that boost specific weapon types. Last I checked, phaser and photon weren't well represented in that particular regard; so I can only see this as a good thing.
Will the Infinity Lock Box award a multi-faction pack like the Temporal Lock Box, or award the faction-specific version depending on the character opening said Lock Box?
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.

The set is preemptively designed to benefit Federation players? Keep it classy, Rivera.

My guess is that it'll depend on the character opening the box.
I just looked at the states of the Abrams FED ships and two things came across my attention.
The Kelvin Constitution (or as I like to call it, the Abrams class) is considered a Command ships, correct? Shouldn't it be able to use dual cannons like all the other Command vessels?
(Then again, the others were Battle Cruisers while the Abrams class was intended for more peaceful roles; I could give this issue a pass then.)
The Vengeance class Dreadnaught is able to use Dual cannons and yet, (according to it's Inertia and Turn Ratings) it is slower and less Maneuverable than the Abrams class? WTF
Granted, it is a much bigger and more powerful vessel meant for a war that may or may not happen within the Abrams verse. Still, everybody knows that a ship capable of mounting cannon must be fast and agile in order to utilize those cannons (especially the dual and heavy ones; otherwise they're useless!)
In addition, even if it didn't used cannons, the Vengeance class's Inertia and Turn ratings should match (if not exceed) those of the Abrams class. In other words the former should be just as fast and agile as (if not faster and more agile than) the latter. It does have sufficient engine/thruster power for such performance for it's size
Now I know people are going to say things like "That's OP" and "it's too big and heavy for that" and what not. May I remind you that in the movie that the Vengeance class was introduced in (Star Trek: Into Darkness), that ship was flying circles around the Enterprise as it was shooting it up. if you're going to emulate something from a different source be it related or not, good or bad, at least be accurate with what you're using. Sheesh!
Everything else is cool about these ships as well as the KDF and ROM ones. Looking forward to them as well as their counsels and traits.

That is cause the KU Connie is listed as a "Cruiser", so it can't have Cannons. Only Battlecruisers and Dreads can have cannons.
There is things on the game to make a ship go faster and turn better. My D'Dederidex can turn and move very nicely. And I can bring those DHC to target with no issues.

Well, seeing you can get the ship only with KDF toon, I doubt supply will rise enough to lower the price, and ultra-rich exchange players will have easy time cornering the market.
So yeah, waiting for it to come to infinity lolbox would be only reasonable option.

If you don't want to buy keys for the Kelvin Box, then yes.
Klingons are a small percentage of the playerbase (around 12%?). So, you have alot fewer sellers and alot fewer buyers. It's why Klingon DOFFs have always been significantly more expensive then Fed DOFFs. Same goes for lockbox ships.
sad to see the rom ship in this box. 4 sci console slot, + comander sci. it is a shame. the rom faction needs a ship like this one, but it is in a box.
i'm a rom player, and i'm really disgusted.
Get used to that in this game. They cater to the most populated faction and that's Federation. Romulans and KDF get the side show since they don't bring in the cash for the company. It's one of the reasons I stopped buying ships as much as I used to. The only exception I made to that change was if they ever did a TOS thing and well they did and it's Fed obviously.
It's about making as much money as possible over balanced game play offerings to factions.
It would nice if there was a way to draw more players to the romulan and kdf factions but that will probably never happen considering all the attention the feds are getting. And along with lockbox and lobi ships ive given up on them ive lost count of how many boxes i opened in my 5 years of playing this game without even winning a single ship not even one of the crappy mirror universe ones.

null Well, I opened my share of boxes to get some lobi, but I cannot afford to spend couple monthly salaries just to have a good chance to get a single ship. I will just have to wait, it seems.

Thank the bean counters for that. Apparently those factions aren't worth the trouble of anything more then table scraps after their initial launch. Really makes me laugh when people want more factions in this game but fail to realize it'll be the butt of nowhere unless it's tied in to the Fed faction like the TOS one is.
One up side of this latest expansion though. KDF and Romulans finally get a T6 science ship from the ship pack that got released for the expansion even though it's not a Romulan or KDF styled ship. Only took how long for KDF and Romulans to get a true T6 science ship since cap increase and X number of T6 science ships for Feds?

It's a vicious cycle. Not enough people play the other factions, so they get ignored. But people would play the other factions if there was more content/expansions for them. Personally, I hate the KDF faction as it currently is and refuse to play it. If they revamped it and gave it a more interesting early storyline and a visual update, I might consider it. But, as it stands now, I have no incentive to make a KDF toon.

They did that once already. Or do you not remember what KDF was like before LoR?

PWE/Cryptic is the first game company I ever saw that purposefully ignored factions in content expansions. If it wasn't Star Trek I'd have been done with this game long ago. That being said I think the TOS stuff is the last I'll be getting in to for this game unless they start developing the game so everyone gets a slice of the pie so to speak for expansions.
What are the odds of getting the kelvin Connie? so far, all I've been getting is manuals, and a few weapons.
I've gotten 3 since AoY launched, so, I'd say pretty good. 1st box I opened on day 1, then 2 more on the second day after opening about 20 or so boxes.
It's some kind of Mythos monster - a huge mouth where it should have a head. And it spews murderous creatures.
All joking aside, it IS OP. Disappointingly OP.
And BFAW buff? Look forward to ISA instances lasting all of 30 seconds.
I am sure, there is madness to this method. A few more BFAW buffs, and the instances will last less than 5 seconds, and then the metrics-analyst will detect that people spend almost no time in ISA anyway, and it can be removed from the queues.
The Borg should just save themselves the hastle and attempt self-destruct before these waves of preposterously OP BFAW spamming abominations get within weapons range.
The real reason the Borg Cube decided to blow up when it was put to sleep - it dreamed of BFAW and ISA.

Because the Kelvin Weapons count as beams even though they fire like cannons. Hence all the FAW buffs.

Or you might have to wait a few more months, for whenever the infinity lockbox contains the ship.

Why aren't their weapons upgradable?
I was looking forward to upgrading them from white Mk Xs to purple Mk XIVs.
Is this standard with Lockbox ships?

Vaguely. I left after they introduced the Breen story and only came back during season 9.5. Tried KDF when I came back, still don't like it.
