I also would like to salute Cryptic on making the perfect storm of player outrage.
A T6 connie, BUT it's the one from the Kelvin Timeline, AND it's Lockbox only.
This is truly the magnum opus of trolling the playerbase. You need to give yourselves a massive pat on the back.
I was looking foreword to Agents of Yesterday. Not playing it now. I am straight up done with this game, you want my money, put the ship up for sale. If its too expensive, or not worth it, I wont buy it. But I am not GAMBLING to get it. I HATE the lock box system. And I don't give a DAMN about rarity when you have people flying around in Iconian ships etc.. This is ALMOST as bad as playing through 3 games of Mass Effect with developers crowing about how great choice is, then killing you no matter what you do in the last 5 minutes of the game. I am so finished with this game. Good luck everyone.
The addition of Khan's assault cannon is also nice.
Oh, is THAT what the Lobi weapon is?
I think that's what it is. I could be wrong. In fact I fully anticipate 5 forum posters meticulously going frame-by-frame in Into Darkness and comparing it to the Boolean Heavy Assault cannon in STO to see whether it is or not.
I wanna know the inside joke behind calling it the "Boolean" HAC. That's an odd name for a brute force weapon, I'd say. What, you hit something alive and it boolean flips to dead?

Well, it's definitely intended to be.
If I get that cannon, does that mean I can one-shot that Scorpion from Cutting the Cord?

You know you never HAVE to gamble for any ship in the game, right? If you want to buy it outright, buy and sell keys. Then buy the ship on the Exchange. There you bought it. The only gripe is that it's not Account-Wide.

I feel like this is you right now:
For the record, it's me as well.
Your father was captain of a starship for twelve minutes. He saved 800 lives, including your mother's, and yours.
Well, as much as a LOVE these ships coming in, the single crushing dissapointment of this box is the Romulan Carrier.
The fact that it is NOT the Nerada makes me a very very sad panda. Also, i feel that if THAT was the best angle you could find to take a picture of it, i fear what the rest of it looks like...
Secodly, the blos states that the T'laru has a SINGLE hangay bay... Surely if it's supposed to be a carrier, it's meant to have two?

Examination of the time-lost salvage taken from the Kelvin Timeline reveals that the Federation of that reality had a decidedly higher emphasis on military technologies, likely as a direct result of their overwhelming defeat at the hands of the alien vessel that invaded their space in the 23rd Century. The same has shown to be true of the Klingon and Romulan ships of that time. This emphasis on cutting-edge technology allows their starships and equipment to be comparable with our own in the early 25th Century, despite technically being hundreds of years old.
Nobody ever bugged them from a Mirror Universe. They never had to face a joint Breen/Cardassian/Dominion armada. They never faced the Undine. They never encountered the Borg (well aside from the Borg tech that was installed on the Narada after the Hobus nova -- which probably counts as ancient when compared to 2410-Borg tech). They never encountered the Voth. Never discovered a single dyson sphere. They never had to face an Undine invasion. They NEVER fought the Iconians. They never faced a group of Na'kuhl fanatics who blamed us for the actions of the Tholians and tried to erase us from time itself.
Each of these incidents (and I bet others could tell so much more) pushed Prime Universe R&D to greater and greater heights, for the sake of survival. They only faced an antiquated mining ship with antiquated Borg tech.
Put them through the same we went through, and THEN we can talk about comparing their ships to ours.
Personally, if we were to classify those fossils with 2410's ship performance standards I wouldn't put any of those ships over T5.

The back of my head is screaming that "The Powers who Hold the licence" have a major hand in this. Possibly a way to curve the rage over Trek since this year started. To me this is a slap in the fans and the playerbases faces. While there will be people happy to just enjoy the chance to have a Max Tier Connie finally no matter what form they are bending on. This could also be a push to get more attention towards the new movie and timeline that just feels lacking in fan support. I honestly think this is a big gamble (aside from money making for the game to keep going) on the licence holders and cryptics part. I hope it pays out for them cause I love this game, im meh about the whole Kelvin timeline cause honestly its just a mess and gives me a temporal headache.
I cannot say that the ships interest me, if one falls in my lap okay cool, otherwise it will just be a "hey i have some spare zen oh why not try my luck" thing.
Good Luck with this one Cryptic and may the fan rage not be too great.
Space is vast, it's wonderful and maddening. Yet in that madness is some of the greatest beauty I have ever seen.

Really?, the fact that you die at the end of Mass Effect didn't bothere me, just that the original ending had illogical conclusions like the gates blowing up, when in the DLC mission at Bataria in Mass Effect 2 destroyed the system, ther normany II running away for some reason like a coward, the 2 teamates you take with you on the final mission appearing on the Normandy II for some reason. Sorry about subject change.
Just for show. It's actually rewarded elsewhere, and not included in the Lock Box / Lobi offerings.
Oooooooook. Glad to know that...
Your team is really going all out with this temporal narrative. It's almost as if @borticuscryptic should have let you know that BEFORE publishing the dev blog.
The attention to detail in Agents of Yesterday is mind-boggling, it's even in the forums!
Gonna have to save up some serious EC, Vengeance and Connie ain't gonna be cheap.
This is the first lockbox in a LONG time that I've been excited about. Plan to go for the Connie, Vengeance and KDF ship + KDF and FED uniform + weapon packs.
I want the ships but want them outfitted with the right uniforms.
I have to say, I'm extremely disappointed we're seeing these over-proportioned pieces of garbage into this game.
This nothing but an obvious cross-promotion with a eh set of films.
And if nothing else this is a serious middle finger to everyone who wanted a upper end TOS or TMP styled Connie.
I am thoroughly disgusted with this.
Thank you for the time...

Cryptic, would you actulaly like me to spend actual Money? It's Simple:
Full, Story-driven, select from start 1-50 Klingon Side
Scrap current Lock Box & Lobi system for something more reasonable
Expand Dil and Rep/Fleet Marks to regular story content

It's been so long since I cared to check, so someone please refresh my memory. Is it possible to buy Lobi directly with Zen, or do I have to open a ton of lockboxes to get enough for that dreadnaught?

Yes, it is Khan's gun. A poster on Reddit shared this with me: http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Boolean_gun
