I'm more confused that we have only 6 weeks to create Temporal Agents characters...
Does that mean, that after that period the whole expansion will be unaccessible to new toons and players?
Did Devs really create a whole Episode Arc just for people that will start in 6 weeks, and then
any new Feds will need to do normal play and the Temporal Agents tutorial will be dropped completly?
Will the nodes for delta recruits that have not finished continue to exist, or are they being replaced by the temporal recruitment nodes?
Basically, after temporal recruits go live, will unfinished delta recruits still be able to finish?
Temporal Agents do not impact Delta Recruits. If you currently have unfinished Delta Recruits that you can work on, you will still be able to work on them after X3 goes live.

Temporal Agents are a special kind of TOS Character, in the same way that Delta Recruits are special kinds of Klingon, Romulan, and Federation characters. Nobody on Tribble has created a Temporal Agent, but they have created TOS Characters.
Duty Officer Commendations: Work toward reaching rank 4 commendations in every category of Duty Officer commendations. You’ll receive assortments of Temporal Investigator Duty Officers of increasing rarity, and when you reach rank 4 in six commendation categories you’ll receive a unique Temporal Investigator Duty Officer of Epic quality for all captains on your account!
Because that^ is going to take MONTHS to complete. Especially colonial and recruitment commendations.
A) There aren't a lot of single assignments that award a large amount of colonial or recruitment CXP.
Umm - read the post, you only need to reach rank 4 in 6 categories. Eng, Tactical, Development, Espionage, Medical are easy.
As I see it, this is minimal work if you're patient. Play the missions, run 4-6 missions per rep to get the necessary marks to complete (so 36-54 total), then park in ESD and DOff / Admiralty / Turn over Contraband.
I'm in the minority and nearly all the players will disagree with me, but i'm not really happy with this recruitment.
I already have many alt and i'm mostly playing two characters, meaning that i should stop playing them in order to play a temporal toon, one from a race that i'm not interested to play with on top of that.
Also, i felt that my Delta recruit is now a sort of leave for account, role playing speaking: They have already some connections with the temporal agency and so it doesn't make any sense that they could not be promoted to temporal agent as the next step.
I admit that i'm not really objective: My main fed is a Delta recruit, in order to stick with the theme i have collected nearly all the temporal stuff from the lobi store as well as the 3 now old temporal ships and the Aeon.
Now i felt that all these efforts through the last year to have a role play character with the temporal theme are ruined, really.
My opinion would have been different if you had made everythings from boxes and lobi stores account wided but it's still not the case (and i wonder why) so i can't transfert all these temporal items to the new toon.
It would have been nice to have the option to promote the Delta to temporal, even if it means to reset the level of the character to 1 while keeping my stuff in bank and the ships in the dry dock until to have the level to take them out.
At least i would have the temporal themed character i dreamed to play since the beginning of this game.
I can understand the need to promote agent of yesterday with cool stuff, but i have not the will to begin a new character and to collect the items i alreday have on another temporal themed character again.
And no, i will not buy the temporal agent pack to fill the void: It's too costly and most of the ships include are ugly to death.
Indeed, they said several times in interviews they made a conscious choice to limit it to the four founding species.
It's just as well... I already can't decide between human and andorian and now I'm considering adding vulcan back to my list even though I already have a main vulcan character. 'Cause in order to Prosper as a Temporal Agent, I'm gonna have to Live Long.
I'm guess I'm glad to just be needing one new character to unlock all the rewards.
Unfortunately, I'm only going to be able to make one character with the free slot they are giving out. I wish I could make more, but the Devs won't let me.
Ah well, at least I can make the one. Leaning towards a Vulcan Tac simply because it's not what would be expected.
I really don't see the point in having more than one TOS character, myself. I know I want a science officer, but I already have a vulcan science officer so I might not do that. But if I simply cannot decide, I do have a spare slot I can use.
Oh, I only plan on making one Temporal Recruit character since only one is needed to unlock rewards for all my other characters.
But someday my altitis will kick back in and I'll probably want to make another ToS style character. Or maybe a new Gorn. I would like a Tac Caitian as well, now that I think about it.
Unfortunately, as I said before, I'm limited to one additional character and that WILL be a Temporal Recruit. If the Devs would simply allow me to buy more character slots then everything would be great.
We're getting an additional character slot with the expansion, so you'll have 2 that you can use for TOS style characters.
If you're at the maximum for characters, I applaud you that you're able to handle so many. I struggle with the 10 I have (1 KDF Delta Recruit that I only leveled up a bit). I'm planning on making an 11th character but not sure if I'll use my spare character slot beyond.

It'll be your loss if you don't want to take part in the Temporal Recruitment. Keep in mind all that you'll be missing out on if you don't create a TOS character:
Rapid Support Space Trait that will be account wide.
Superior versions of the Starship traits granted by the Command, Intel and Pilot Specializations as well as the new Temporal Operative Starship Trait for every character on your account.
Bonus to XP earned from Admiralty for every character on your account (good for gaining those specialization points for the new spec).
A permanent change to equipment projects that have items that can be upgraded from Mark XII Very Rare to Mark XIII Ultra Rare for all characters on your account.
A special Duty Officer you can't get anywhere else on your account.
I don't know about you, but all 6 of these things to me sounds worth it. By the Way, your main can be a Temporal Agent in AoY still thanks to one of the arcs if you pay attention to the tribble releases. Arc is Yesterday's War.

Yeah, the one slot I have I should have said 'will have', as that freebie they are giving out when AoY launches will be the "1".
And yes, I'm at the character creation limit so no more alts for me (after AoY) until the limit is raised.
Hello. My name is iamynaught and I am an altaholic.
Who is Sparty? You cant expect a personalized reply ever time from a dev. And its Saturday, so odds are since you didnt ask the day of you wont hear from who you want. You did not address your question to anyone in particular
Next time you post a question in a public forum tell people its rhetorical and you dont want an answer.
CrypticSpartan, the dev that's been answering questions in this thread. My question is not rhetorical, there is a high likelihood it may get answered by a dev
Let us upgrade the Seleya Ceremonial Lirpa and Kri'stak Blade
There's been one question that I've been afraid to ask, because I dreaded the possible answer. I found the answer on the Tribble test server last night, so I'll share in case anyone else was worried about it.
The Temporal Agent vendors at ESD, Qo'nos, and Romulan Flotilla have two tabs in their vendor windows - one to claim perks earned by Delta Recruits, and one to claim perks earned by Agents of Yesterday. This means that the account-wide Delta perks should still be claimable once the expansion goes live on the 6th. It was a silly thing to worry about, in hindsight, but I like to prepare for the worst while I hope for the best.
Are the unlocks automatic or can we choose, when we pick the unlock as on delta recruits. I have some set's on mk12 not completed and then they will get changed to marc 13.
When the Mark 12 Ground Sets are upgraded to 13, did they still count for the accolade?
For example:
Collect all three pieces of the Mark XII Omega Force Ground Gear.
Collect all three pieces of the Mark XII Dyson Joint Command Ground Gear.
1. Yes. 2. As many as you want, but the account unlocks happen once. 3. TOS only. All TOS characters, though, count as Fed for grouping, fleet, and PvP purposes. 4. Temporal Recruits are any TOS characters created in the first six weeks after the expansion launches. They get to unlock stuff on the Recruitment system. There is no "TOS Recruit."

Also personally i will do only one Temporal Agent Recruit, because in Delta Recruitment, when my first Recruit unlocked everything already, i could not claim the rewards on my other Recruits - normal non-Recruit toons yes, but Recruits needed to unlock the account rewards for themselves each one (at least after some patches, it was not so at beggining).
So i will create only 1 Recruit, unlock everthing that i can on that toon, then maybe i create more TOS toons, once the recruitment is over.
At least this time you won't have to create a toon for three separate factions in order to benefit from the full payout of account unlocks. I only bothered with a Delta Fed last time.

The only difference is that new TOS characters created after the 6 weeks will no longer be able to participate in the recruit awards.
So in that regard it works just like the previous recruitment event did.

I am thinking about the major grind for marks that all my toons would need to replace all their rep gear. Smooth move.

Moving foward you should address your questions to a specific person with a @rtk142 so someone wont try to be helpful.
