Our fleet's Leader left without giving someone the position.

    As far as I know... there is nothing you can do. Unless the leader promotes someone to leader rank, that position is most likely going to remain locked out.

    Since its only a few days old though... might just be easier to have everyone drop out and form another fleet.

    Once inactive for 30 days, the next highest ranking member who is active will see a button on the fleet roster page to claim leadership.

    I was part of a newbie fleet that no one ever logged onto and after a long time (I didn't log on either) there was the option to claim leadership. I don't know how it works, I was just on that toon to collect my goods and money before deleting the toon.

    If your fleet was created just few days ago, you might be better off just creating another.

    It's settled then. Start a new fleet.

    Truths I have read here:

    1. We are not getting the whole story.
    2. After a month, the second highest player has the chance to take over the fleet if the leader is inactive. Since the leader made someone else leader, this looks to not be an option.
    3. A Fleet just a few days old? Start a new one. On second thought, considering the amount of work needed to make the fleet worth the effort? Join an existing one.

    And why are multiple people posting, word for word, "Failsafe precautions ftw, hail hydra"? Am I missing a new meme?
