What is the Arc Client?
Install Arc

launcher not starting after patch

Hi,

I just tried to login to STO and I got a patch. After the patch when I press engage nothing happens.
To be sure I rebooted my PC and now its installing a 11GB patch. It looks like its installing the game all over again.
I don't login thru ARC but I start the game thru C:\program files (x86)\Star Trek Online\Star Trek Online

Anyone else who has this problem?

Open launcher, select options from top right, uncheck on-demand patching and check force verify and hit save.

This will force your system to check the version and/or existance of every file required to run the game, there was a problem with the patch server which resulted in some players receiving unscheduled updates which contained incorrect files. These need to be replaced with the correct files before the game will launch.

The full check should take 15-20 minutes and in most cases only a minimal patch is required, however depending on how far you have progressed in the game or how many different places you have visited you may need additional files to be installed. This can be due to on-demand patching having been enabled - this option when enabled allows you to only download the files essential to launch the game and then get a top-up download whenever you enter a new area, however it also increases loading times for new areas or updated areas.
