Gameclient.exe not shutting down after closing STO.

in Windows and General: PC, Network, and Other Technical Issues
Past few days i have noticed gameclient.exe is not closing after I shut off STO. It will not allow Arc to close, and my GPU fan continues to run at high speed. Only a restart shuts the process down. And the fan is fine with all other games.

Any idea why this is getting hung up and not closing?
Nothing breaks the tension better than a tankard of warnog - except maybe a good brawl...

    Having the same problem. Game freezes while changing maps and then i have to restart because it won't shut down. It's making the game virtually unplayable.

    I'm not having that. I close the game and then Arc launcher will not close because gameclient.exe is still running.
    Nothing breaks the tension better than a tankard of warnog - except maybe a good brawl...
