I am getting the message on patching "Error 36: A file was locked that..."

in Windows and General: PC, Network, and Other Technical Issues
Hullo, after todays maintenance the patcher won't finish as it displaqys the error message "Error 36: A file was locked that could not be opened for writing"

Ii i think says the file is somethng microsoft V80 or something related but its hard to see as the message is only displayed for like half a second.

I have tried running it in admin mode specifically as well as turning off my Anti-virus and it is still popping up.

Anyone know a fix to this problem pleasey pops?

    Hmm... i restarted my PC and loaded up STO and for a brief instant it said error 36 then engage popped up.

    So whatever it was about seems to have sorted itself out. Curious indeed.

    re-start of computer fixed error 36 for me
