Don't worry folks, they have their finest IT personnel on getting the servers up and running:
Ooooooh!!! Can I hire them for my house? Permanently???
That said, all MY Feline Tech Reps do is mash on the keys and change my laptop settings when I'm out of the room if I don't lock the screen every time I get up.
Why would you wanna hire them? Only one kitten is actually working, the other 3 are just pretending. It's outrageous!
I count two working...one on the circuit board and another holding one of the wires for the other. The other two are there for moral support (or to prevent the customer from getting angry since they already have a dead computer and a short fuse on their temper. ).
But then, my two kitties actively punk me when I turn my back. The worst one they ever did before I started using the lock screen was flipping my display upside down and it took me FOREVER to figure out what they did and how to fix it.

Project sliders for Reputation, Guild, and Alliance contributions will now start at the maximum slider value instead of the minimum, excluding Dilithium.
In any software development case, experience has shown that there will be a percentage of bugs that will not not show up until it goes on air. The important part is to hope that they are not show stoppers. Since we have never tested the missile defense software full scale with the missiles actually intercepting ICBMs over the North Pole, we have no way of knowing if the "Strategic Defense Initiative" will even work once all the hardware is in place.
The above was from a lecture I attended in the 90s on developing software for the SDI. We all decided if we built it, it was better not to test it.
It isn't as troublesome as SDI, but give them time to work it out. If I'm fighting a baddie, I would rather my weapons worked as advertised.

The horror.... The kitties are running around inside the case while it is still plugged in... Safety is definitely NOT priority number 1
I usually unplug the cord from the power strip, and only occasionally from the case, so I hope and presume that's what whoever shot this did... But considering these are very young kittens (They clearly can walk and jump but their eyes are still deep blue) and probably not yet house-trained I wouldn't want to turn that thing back on...
Safety issues aside, the image is still cute... Because kittens.
Devs, devs, you work on a Star trek game and you don't even use Scotty time? Booo! You should have said it was going to last until 1:30pm from the beginning.
OK, some players would have still complained, but only twice at worst. Once when seeing it'd take long and another when it'd be online sooner than expected.
The thing is...they patched neverwinter and when the servers came up there were all sorts of problems with login...no chat...map locking up etc... the game didnt work...this is obviously something that extends to the star trek online servers as well so no doubt they are taking the time to fix all these things on both games before restarting the servers. I for one am glad they are taking the time to make sure as trying to play with those kind of problems would be a nightmare. So thank trendy please pass on a big thanks to the guys working to make games work.

You see! As long as you watch them they are all diligent, cute any playful. But turn your back on them for only one minute and they lock you out of your computer, set the volume to max and play "Last Christmas" on an endless loop. Kittens, the secret masters of pranks.
30 minutes to ensure priority log-in queuing is active. Of course, that's going by what they did the last time they released a major update, to avoid crashing the servers from log-in overload. Think it was the Risa Summer event. Which they did because the last major update before that caused a ton of problems from mass log-ins.
So as we all wait to shake good old Q's hand let me ask some random questions: In prior posts it sounds like i could get ships "cards" only for the new (at least for me) admirality thing. Is that so and if so, where can i get them (and with what are they payed? ec, lobi, dilli, maks, whatever)?

You get them automatically for any ships you already have and again when you buy/acquire new ships
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.

When a ship is in your ship roster, you get the card. Sometimes A.S.S. assignments give you one-use cards of various ships too.

Guess they ignored the warning sign... *cough*

I second this
If we could get these cute IT specialists being viewed live in their work I would probably not even noticed that the ETA had been delayed.
A test server is supposed to be used to properly test patches before patching anything....
Of course not - they first will need to fix the bugs that can be fixed, then write rest in "known problems"

Love this...but the hat needs to be darker red to match his uniform.
1 hour to ensure everything's running smoothly.
