An idea for the UN I've had for a few days is that all of its current representatives should be replaced by the Vice-presidents, or similar positions, of all the member countries in it, to see if that has any effect.

So now it's the UN, "bullying", and Chase Masterson, and no one is supposed to object to this? Lofty goals and platitudes sound nice, but why involve the UN when the UN spends so much time and money running a "Man made Global Climate Change" scam and forever determines that the most murderous regimes in the world are now qualified to sit in judgment of the United States? Is anyone willing to claim that the UN is engaged in the battle to destroy the likes of ISIS? Do we see UN in combat against the barbaric murderers? Give me a squad of Klingon Warriors and I'll show you how to deal with ISIS, but instead it's the UN? At this juncture even Vladimir Putin would deserve more support than the UN.

Chase Masterson's lofty goals may be just fine, but leave the UN out of it.

Latest poll out this week shows 97% of U.S. citizenry are not buying the "Climate change" scam either.

As for your second paragraph, I agree.

Your third paragraph in support of the climate change scam is not factual.

Since I don't live on the forums I wouldn't know anything about "Trendy" schedule. However, Trendy surely didn't mind allowing such an obviously politically charged commentary from Chase Masterson. As such this is fair game. If one wants to shut this down now then I suggest redoing the video ad and leaving out the UN content. That would be fair and I'd not object. If not and this thread is closed without that edit, then this gets pointed out in far more circles than just here at STO. I'm sure that will raise some eyebrows and make for delicious commentary in a broader spectrum.

Update: Allow me to also state for the record that I have no qualms with the opinions of others as they are certainly entitled to them. However, as such, mine too are equally as valid. In that light I'm duty bound to protect my nation's Constitution, it's laws, especially rights, and I fully recognize STO and this forum as private property and I am subject to those private property rights decisions. Likewise, I too have the same rights as all others. It is in that light that I make this further comment as in having read my own above statement it may give the appearance of being a threat. Such was not intended to be the case, rather a legitimate course of action were this discussion pulled for merely not being agreeable with someone elses views as was posed by the posting this was a reply to. It is certainly not too much to ask that when one finds something objectionable in a created entity that something of objection can be made comment of. Obviously there are those who do not share my view and I see no one condemning them for publishing it, not even myself. As I am an STO fan since the beginning and a gold member to show for it it's not like this discussion isn't personally hurting me to make. I have every desire to see this issue resolved and continue on with many great tomorrows and without further mention. Surely one speaking up about it is not a crime.

Politics and other such TRIBBLE isn't allowed on these boards. Although, I suspect that the OP is simply taking advantage of holiday downtime for a little trolling.

Only 97% of the ones that watch 24 hour opinion TV news. The U.S. is a free country so you can have your opinion but when you parade it around like its a fact, it makes you an A-hole. Please don't include Americans in your argument. We are a varied people of many philosophies which is the best part about the USA, don't insult it.

I found the 97% poll. It was a Fox News poll.
    Laugh-Meme-04.jpg
Also, the poll was about asking "What is the biggest threat to the US". Not about whether or not they believe in it.

The ignorance of the OP is staggering and saddening. I will not comment on his assertions about the UN, as I avoid political discussions on here (but others have ably deconstructed these).

I will however point out that even if his political rant was correct - its utterly misplaced. I have some experience working in the international development sector. I watched Chase's video again. She makes no mention that her charity (Pop Culture Hero Coalition) is working with the "United Nations".

She did however mention that it was working with the "United Nations Association". As I recall this is an independent non-governmental US organisation (ie: a charity). It receives no funding from the UN itself, and is instead supported by various other charities, foundations, and contributions from individual members. It carries out various advocacy and programme work, including providing opportunities for kids.

So it seems OP, that your political rant is misplaced! Neither Cryptic, nor Pop Culture Hero Coalition, are working with the UN - they are working with a US charity. Oops!

Not that I'm standing up for a FAUX "news" poll, but the OP probably read a headline somewhere and got too angry to read it the article.

There, corrected the poll's source for you.
