So now it's the UN, "bullying", and Chase Masterson, and no one is supposed to object to this? Lofty goals and platitudes sound nice, but why involve the UN when the UN spends so much time and money running a "Man made Global Climate Change" scam and forever determines that the most murderous regimes in the world are now qualified to sit in judgment of the United States? Is anyone willing to claim that the UN is engaged in the battle to destroy the likes of ISIS? Do we see UN in combat against the barbaric murderers? Give me a squad of Klingon Warriors and I'll show you how to deal with ISIS, but instead it's the UN? At this juncture even Vladimir Putin would deserve more support than the UN.
Chase Masterson's lofty goals may be just fine, but leave the UN out of it.

Not usually.
It's not like I'm McDs saying that my food is good enough for one to love it or that my shoes make you jump higher.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!
STO decided to make this political when they invoked the UN on what is ostensibly supposed to be a U.S. issue that Masterson has championed. She made the statement herself in her video ad. It's fair game to address and using a game with lots of kids open to suggestion was just plain wrong.
Some of us actually pay attention to the world outside of STO.
Apparently not that well.
Aaaaaaaand in b4 lock. Happy Thanksgiving Ms. Trendy!
Seriously? You're not doing anything other than embarassing yourself and your country.
Take some happy pills and go to bed.
Wait... are you Jerry Pournell?

Usual stuff, UN being controlled by reptilians and spreading chemtrail vaccinations.
Firstly, the UN hasn't taken part in a major war since Korea. Mainly because there are powers on the UN Security Council who would veto such moves (Russia and China) since the conflicts the West would like to stop are usually funded and supported by the aforementioned powers. Remember the Sudan? It was the Chinese selling arms to both sides making a killing (literally) off of the profits while blocking progress at the UN. Russia has big interests in keeping Assad in Syria in power, contrary to the aims and objectives of the West. They're getting a naval base which will give them direct access to the Med without depending on access via the Black Sea and the Crimea which is unstable at the moment due to Russian military involvement there. Any attempt by the UN security council to condemn Assad or the Syrian civil war gets veto'd by Russia so it's a lame duck and has been since Russia and China were given permanent membership of the security council.
Second, Climate Change is a very dangerous and very real threat to the future of this planet and all the life forms who live on it (yes, that includes us!). Greenhouse gas emissions are at an all time high and Co2 concentrations passed the 400ppm for the first time this year. We are destroying Co2 absorbing rainforests at a record rate and the permafrost in the polar regions is set to melt for the first time in thousands of years within the next few decades releasing MASSIVE amounts of methane into the atmosphere which would be disastrous.
I almost feel bad acknowledging you by replying to this thread, but I had to put what I felt to "paper" if you will. Did you post this today deliberately because Trendy will be enjoying Thanksgiving and not swing the lock hammer at this thread? I don't know whether I should PM her on Twitter with this thread URL.
