So, bets on very very similar demands when the next full Science Vessel comes out with the usual 3/3 weapons and limited Tac boff/console slots? This carrier looks decent, might provide an interesting change of pace if the pet ai isn't too frustrating. I for one am willing to take a chance on a ship that doesn't play like anything else.
I'm just holding off in hopes of getting a multi-faction 3-pack later.
There's nothing wrong with niche ships that require different gameplay. They keep the game from getting too boring.
1) There wont be a 3 pack Jupiter bundle for obvious and deserving reasons. To want it is unethical.
2) The Jupiter class is the first faction specific T6 two hanger vessel. It follows in the tradition of some other 2 hanger ships and the Klingons can reasonably expect a copy just as the Atrox was a copy of the Vo'Quv.
3) Cryptic designed and slotted the Jupiter correctly in respects to their design philosophy.
4) Klingons players should be humble with their gifts or the cry for balance may net the FEDs more fighters, more frigates and more carriers.
Some wiser members knew all this info already but the ignorant, the self serving and the intentionally deceitful desire to corrupt the Jupiter into something it shouldn't be.
PS: It is curious to notice that the Romulan D'Deridex has larger shuttle bays and more shuttle compliments than both the Galaxy class and Vesta class but has does not have the option to mount pets in STO. Pre DS9, the D'Deridex had the largest shuttle compliment in the Star Trek canon.

So more points to a 4/3 with a lttac then does a 3/3 sci carrier...
But I'm still waiting for someone to prove how the 3/3 breen carrier that had 4 tac consoles and a ltcmd tac that was free to almost 2million captains at the time imbalanced the game...

I fly the Jem Dread WITH the Attack Ship Pets on Fed Side...on my Vulcan Engineer Sarek....and while the Ship Performs outstandingly (outperforming most other ships including the Jupiter) i HATE the Fact that a Federation Vulcan flys...a Dominion Ship O_o and for this Character i wanted the Jupiter, KNOWING that technicaly it would be a MAJOR Downgrade in "MOAR TAC" and "PEW PEW" (to quote some people saying all i want is moar tac bla bla)

More than likely not. It was an interesting and memorable design, but being an NPC only ship, it kind of suffered from sub-par textures and less-than-quality model work.
The only thing I will really lament about the old Jupiter is the pylon arrangement, honestly. I was a huge fan of how the pylons mimicked a stylized chevron shape. The nacelles were also unique, too, with nothing coming close to matching them in a playable ship for years, but I won't miss those half as much as I'll miss those pylons.
While I like the general design and love carriers in general, the pet nerfs combined with the ever increasing A.I. stupidity on them makes me not want the ship. Half the time my pets are doing something elsewhere which makes my carriers gimped space whales with hangars.(

As a science player, I have better choices, Like the Annorax.

Nope! The pylons were actually twinned stylized chevrons that bisected the aft end of the vessel a bit, with another, smaller pair of stylized chevrons at their ends to act as stanchions for the nacelles.

It's just that I vaguely remembered someone mentioning the ship parts that were used to kitbash jupiter together... Maybe I'm wrong but the upper hull is resized intrepid saucer, the lower hull is from patrol escort, and the "chevrons" are iirc on some ship somewhere, in a horizontal position. Maybe the support cruiser or some such... (someone might want to correct me on this)

what about the idea of earning 1 - 2 (ZEN) once per day doing foundary missions? has criptic considered that option as its hard for ppl with low income that have bills to pay and cant afford to be buying ZEN online through STO so earning the ZEN ingame would be beneficial for us granted it would take longer to earn up the amount needed to buy items or ships etc... but it would be worth doing and building the zen up would be a challenge as well as the free sign up gift between 500 - 1000 (ZEN) and because of the amount that would be recieved it would be easy to buy a delta flyer so there fore obtaining the delta flyer would be made a little harder as it would be available once a certain leveled rank has to be reached in order to purchase it i think the rank of CAPTAIN as the delta flyer was created by Tom Paris using borg & Federation Tech so when the long range science vessel becomes available at that rank so can the purchase of the delta flyer and all other purchases of other ships too be locked out by rank so once that rank is achieved then the ships associated with that rank can be bought with the zen purchased or earned through ingame foundary missions once per day.
Thats my opinion does anyone else agree with me? also to add to it all if we can roam the ship there should be more inside the ship to view and interact with like for eg, captains quarters the captain should be able to lay down on her bed walk over to the replicator and replicate a coffee take the coffee sit down on the chair and drink the coffee via a cinematic video clip once the clip is over the captain can walk freely to another part of the ship and all those other rooms on the decks of the ship that have doors locked should be unlocked and be able to have something like a holodeck inside or a shuttle room where you can see and view the shuttles maybe an astrometrics lab where 7 of 9 on voyager use to be stationed at viewing anomolies and such not just game play but be able to do things outside of game play like viewing the ship how are we as the main character ingame suppost to know our ship if we cant roam the ship and see where everything is and what decks they are on like on Bajor i interacted with the holodeck i want one of those on my ship that im using or on all ships that i use
