You know from a professional standpoint I have to question trendy about her responses to closing she is quite clearly flaming and trolling on a few of.them a recent one pops to mind. They are funny don't get me wrong but professionally I don't think it's appropriate.

Professionalism is relative to the type of job. Behavior that may not be considered "professional" for one job may be totally appropriate for another. For example, a teacher should not be making sexual jokes. On the other hand, a stand up comedian at a night club probably would, and that would be appropriate for his/her profession and setting. Trendy is a community manager and moderator for a video game. What standard of professionalism are you judging her by?
I have seen quite a few of Trendy's posts, including of course the ones that mean an end to a thread. I don't see her as spamming a thread or even gong after certain people with the sole purpose to harass and ridicule anyone. It's an interesting job she has and it's refreshing to see she can bring her sense of flair and humor in her execution of such a job. You have to be a "people person" and at the same time you have to enforce the rules and regulations of the forum, I see her able to perform those duties in her manner with no sacrifice to her professionalism.
And let's face it, who is she really shutting down anyway? A couple of trolls who delight in trying to incite a verbal riot? A thread that has derailed to the point that it is completely off topic or has been reduced to a flame fest? I would rather her shut down those types of threads and at the same time let us all know whether intentionally or not that she is a human and not some unemotional rule reciter or even worse one that just says "thread locked" and disappears off the forum.

Trendy has a healthy sense of humor. It's refreshing and positive.

Personally, I prefer it when Trendy or a moderator says something when they take action--whether funny or serious, it makes a clear illustration of what behavior is unacceptable so that there is no question.
Now my question is, at this time, is the Flag Post function producing reports that are visible to the moderators and admins? When we first went to Vanilla, I'd heard that mods were unable to see the reports after posters submitted them. Or are the only methods of reporting something still to do @a-mod-or-CM, send a PM, or an Arc Support Ticket instead of the Flag Post function?

Unfortunately no. However... I don't think anyone wants Geko's job considering how much the forums love Geko.
Not saying anything bad about him mysef. Don't really know anything outside of... a love of the Excelsior class? *shrug*
Oh, but it's simple.
Did anything in the game change and you don't like it? It was Geko's decision and responsibility, and he probably did it to thwart you or to bring a ritual sacrifice to the God of Metrics.
Something was done well? Geko was probably on vacation, sick, drunk, or someone bribed him.
Or so the forum logic goes. The only people that can feel safe on the forums are probably the artists. Though... sometimes even not them...

@PWLAUGHINGTRENDY, seriously some of the funniest posts in these crazy threads are when you close them... thanks for the laughs. The 3 today.. priceless.

I'm still waiting for either the OP or Trendy to change the title's pronoun. Perhaps along the lines of "You Gotta Love PWLaughingTrendy. It's now in the ToS."
"Logic is a little tweeting bird chirping in a meadow. Logic is a wreath of pretty flowers which smell BAD." - Spock
Trendy is solid at her job - and regularly goes above and beyond it. Seems most of the people at Cryptic really try as hard as they can to keep things going, promote the community, have fun with Trek, and so on. I can't argue with how awesome these people are, and it's a lot of fun playing a game while knowing the people behind the game are awesome.
But yeah, in a game forum things can sometimes get a little... crazy. The way Trendy handles it with humour instead of rule-throwing and canned statements, it's impressive and effective. She has a job that's normally pretty thankless in a gaming community, but because of how she presents herself and handles the job, she gets a lot of praise - all of it very much deserved
Hey, OP: you know you can edit the thread title to fix the pronoun to reflect the correct gender, right?
On the other hand, adjusting thread titles is right up Trendy's alley, but who knows what you'll get if you leave it to her...
I do, and really I thought about editing it... but then several of the posts inside wouldn't make sense... so I left it alone. I'll defer to Trendy's exceptional skills in that area

She makes me believe that she's more one of us than one of them (whoever they may be).
Best CM ever, and look she's everywhere doing tons of things every day. How? She's living in TARDIS or I have no other explanation.
