These are both really nice designs... It'd be easier to vote if I had some idea of what kind of boff seating the ships will have, since Alpha looks more science-oriented (even has the Nebula mission pod, like Delta, which was my first choice), while Gamma looks more tactical-oriented with those sharper edges and more claw-like nacelles. I know the Atrox has a heavy science focus already, so I imagine this new carrier will go in a bit of a different direction, though that will depend on which specialization it gets I guess.

Even though I expect Epsilon to lose to Omega, and Alpha and Omega have many similarities, making me want to vote Gamma, I'll have to just go on aesthetics and choose Alpha. It's very well-designed, looks very large regardless of what it's size will end up being, and has all the features I'd expect of traditional Federation starship design: Smooth curves, high-quality engineering, imposing but diplomatic at the same time.
    It is corporeal.

Yeah the new looks made this round a little harder to choose

This is tougher than I expected. With just the early pics to go by, I would've said Gamma; but in these new pics I think Alpha looks way nicer ... except around the nacelles anyway. The Alpha saucer with the Gamma nacelles (and nacelle arrangement) would look fantastic.

    Still, going with Alpha.

I'm going to flat out say it: I vote for #TeamAlpha. I originally liked Gamma more, but after seeing Hector Ortiz's render of the Alpha, it much more fits my vision of what I think the ship should look like.

Alpha really looks like it belongs as a "Trek" ship, while Gamma is so jagged that it reminds me of some of the old ship models from STO's launch. Here's hoping for an Alpha v. Omega showdown.

Going with Alpha - Gamma looks a bit too clunky for a Fed ship with the new artwork, tbh, while Alpha is much more streamlined.

Wow, now that is the power of another angle! I was dead set to vote Gamma on this one. Then you go and show us the new artwork, and completely change my mind. Well played, art team. Well played.

For me it's a tossup on this one but Alpha was just a little more sleek.

The HiRes pic was what was needed to get a better feel for the look of these ships. Alpha looks like a big carrier ship from the angle shot with that huge primary hull. I'll be happy with either Alpha or Omega.

I'm voting for Alpha because I'm angry with Gamma for knocking out Delta. (Also, Alpha really does look more carrier-like to me.)

Agreed. I could see Alpha as a carrier but Gamma as an escort

Wow, I like the extra perspectives for this round.

I haven't voted yet at the time of this post, but the above quote gives me one little complaint Trendy: Why didn't we have views like this when all were announced?

Views of all eight ship designs could of made some of the deciding process a hell of a lot better then the top and side profiles.

    Now, I've voted...

And to be honest, I was planning on voting #TeamAlpha anyways. Now after seeing where the launch/recovery areas 'would seem' to be, Alpha clinched it.

Like most, liking the more detailed pictures - I guess they were made while we were voting as the different ships won?

That said, I'm going to have to go with the Alpha design; the 'command tower' (sensor pod, whatever) and long length help to invoke the feel of modern wet-navy carriers, and I like how the deflector dish is mounted into the front of the saucer instead of tucked under it. I will say, however, that I don't like how spindly and fragile the nacelles and pylons look as compared to the rather solid and study design of the rest of the ship.

I personally like Alpha as well. Looked like a proper carrier, also, I like the 4 engine style that is on Alpha. Reminded me of the Battlestar Galactica a bit there. xD

Thank you for the new art that shows where the actual hangers are.
I have to go with Alpha mainly for the reason that i wouldn't a damaged fighter over shoot the hanger door slam in to the bridge.

Chose Alpha. If this is going to be a Sci Carrier, the Pod on top works for it. Also like the shuttlebays in the rear.

I was going to go with Alpha even before the new art, and now I like it even more. The deflector array at the front just looks amazing.

The Beta reminds me of the Nova, which is good, but I like the little "hat" on the Alpha.
