We're definitely seeing T'ket again. They all but fired that gun.
The episode was pretty nice, barring a few logical inconsistencies. (Why don't we go back in time again, stop Sela's revenge, and prevent the war from ever happening? Or at the very least ask the Iconians to let us take the World Heart to an earlier version of themselves, before Hobus/House Pegh/Broken Circle or something?) Those might have been there solely for gameplay reasons, though - so as to avoid wiping Season 10 or earlier content.
Oh, and Kurland was a pretty nice joke there.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
That was a Trek-ish ending. Enjoyed the climactic fight around Sol, was blaring "Mars, Bringer of War" on my speakers, and the right parts kicked in at the right moments. Seeing what the Iconians were was pretty awesome too. And they've managed to develop Sela into quite an interesting villain. I wonder what's next for her. Probably a war crimes tribunal on a massive scale. I WOULD hope this would change her perspective, I like the character, but I can't speak for the rest of the Federation, RR, and least of all other players. I mean, she MADE T'Ket what she is. And got the personal grudge against the Romulans going. That's what revenge gets you.
Now, I also find it a little too predictable that the whole "closed time loop" thing did happen. I'm hoping for better in the next season. Come on, writers! I know you can do it, just think of something unexpected.
I think we'll be seeing T'ket again in the near future...
Sort of. T'ket seemed dark and corrupt the moment you met her. Willing to let her people die for being weak.
That crossed my mind a second ago, but you got there first. Good catch. Sela took that darkness in T'Ket and pointed squarely at her people, more or less.
i'm just disappointed by 1 thing: a new space set. i would have preferred an herald weapon or an herald ground kit. but the best reward would have been the revamp of the obelisk carrier or another solanae ship.

*Noise* Herald Lockbox *Noise*
That'd be a nice one, like a beginning of
apology and atonement from L'Miren and a loophole to what she said: "I won't stand against my sister... However, feel free to use my ships to do it yourselves!". Besides, leaks mention a Herald lockbox already, so... Dibs on the Heavy Raider!

Yeah, very nice mission all in all. However, is someone around the campfire not facing serious charges still?
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
We WILL see that lockbox, but nonetheless the space set looks interesting to me, I like the passive resist bonus, looks like a good set for a tank.
Hoping for the Herald lockbox too. T'Ket's polearm would be really nice, as would some more bits for the Iconian vest outfit. Those hoses that hang from M'Tara's waist would be neat.

dude... the picture in your signature is awesome.
Thanks, I picked the right artist for that commission. The Iconians need more love on the Internet. Though the mug will push some buttons among purists. XD
How did T'Ket know Sela was a Romulan, given Romulans were still Vulcans 200k years ago?
That is a bit of a grey spot. I would guess that Kagran explained a few things.
That'd make sense actually
Kagran: "Excuse me, Iconian, but haven't you seen a Romulan? Green-blooded lady, 2 eyes, about that short, very bad temper, all "holier than thou" attitude, extravagant clothes, makes you want to punch her in the face whenever she opens her mouth?"
Not to nitpick too much (this was a very, very well done episode IMO) but....
How did T'Ket know Sela was a Romulan, given Romulans were still Vulcans 200k years ago?
Kagran probably described the other members of our expedition to the Iconians while trying to locate us. We're lucky he neglected to mention that she was half human.
Somewhat of a decent end to the arc but not spectacular; for this I would say it’s the end of a season like the Delta rising season but NOT a fitting ending to STO’s first story arc;
There is two glaring mistakes in the story: the Klingons became worriers because of Kahless united the Klingons and defeat Molar that’s when they became worriers
The Romulans didn’t exist 200,000 years ago they were all Vulcans and they didn’t have warp drive oh and Romulus wasn’t colonized at that time so….major TRIBBLE up
No signing of the treaty or nothing
It explains why: The Iconians had so much hatred to the Romulans
CVN-65 U.S.S. Enterprise - A ship so badass it survived John McCain.
Can I just point out that everyone's going to need to work together after this mess?
In the final battle of the Iconians, there's a message stating that there's only 600 ships combined for the Iconians that are strictly Alliance based. Meaning that it makes entire sense now as to why everyone flies ships of other species. It is better to borrow or use what's already available than just our own.

I dunno... the Iconians seem almost as intent on killing humans as Romulans.
Now we have yet another reason to question Klingon intelligence.

Well, among possibilities:
-the USS Yamato discovered Iconia, so it may have been seen as disturbing the rest of those who died there
-
M'tara and L'miren, after scanning the protagonists, found out Sela was a human-romulan hybrid (or discovered the name of the species many years later) and T'Ket wanted them both out of the equation first as a Romulan-Human crippled her sister (and is probably the reason L'Miren doesn't have legs anymore)

Seeing as how Romulans didn't exist 200,000 years ago, I'm guessing Sela let it slip at some point what she was. Imagine if she'd just told them she was Vulcan! It would have saved a lot of grief.
Also, the Iconians may be intelligent but they aren't especially bright if they've had a grudge for Romulans longer than Romulans existed.
Incidentally, the whole plot here is not terribly unlike the aborted Star Trek: Planet of The Titans feature film, which was being developed at one point prior to TMP. (With a Ralph MacQuarrie Enterprise design, done pre-Star Wars, which was almost a Star Destroyer prototype. That ship did later show up in TNG in a few junkyards.)
I loved this. And that Iconian bridge is extremely nifty. Can I have that?
That being said...thank you Sela. Thank you for turning T'Ket into a genocidal jerk. Thank you for destroying the Romulan Star Empire and most of all...thank you for the JJVerse.
May you die a slow, horrible and painful death.
Also, I'm glad they did not hit the reset button.
Oh, I think I'll be fine. They don't have computers over there, I think they rub sheep together to communicate .
the irish language is really nice, and at least you speak your language. i'm not able to speak my real language (Breton)
I speak it after a fashion, but despite the name (Artan) I'm not actually Irish myself. I have a friend who speaks Welsh and can apparently understand or get by in Breton as they are related languages.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.
