Oddy. I wish Growltiger was T6. right now I'm grinding the tac command ship for the trait, but I still love the lines of the Oddy. if they would just fix the phaser hardpoints she would be perfect
The Arbiter class, hands down. Didn't feel like I was buying it for the Trait (like the Phantom, which turned out to be a fun ship anyway), just saw it and the layout and went, "I want that." Definitely no buyer's remorse here, as that ship is a blast to fly, and the nice Trait is just icing.
Yup, same here.
The Arbiter for me was a must have, and I thoroughly enjoy every moment I fly it.
My Tac Command Cruiser is a close second.
As for my Escorts/Destroyers, my T6 HEC and Veteran ship will always be at the top of my list, along with the above cruisers.
I laughed for five minutes straight yesterday watching your signature. Thanks!
All of my Galaxies. ALL OF THEM. (Even the awful T5 one because now I have saucer sep on my T6.)
Ended up loving the Eclipse. Which is very weird since I was one of the guys hating on it hardcore when I first saw the reveal pic of it from STLV. I somehow always end up back in that ship.
Chel Grett, easily. That ship has been with the one character that flies it for going on 4 years I guess. It has held up incredibly well and unless next winter gives us a T6 version I can't see replacing it, although the new hangar bay raptor made me think hard about it.

While the Presidio is my 'go to' ship, the Eclipse is my pure damage monster. I still don't particularly care for the look of it (though it looks a lot better with Phantom Nacelles) but man that ship hits HARD. The Eclipse is one of the most underrated ships in the game IMO. It's a monster.
The Pilot Ships are just plain fun to control. The boosters and lock trajectory skill make forward weapons viable again and they are surprisingly tough, even on my Tac, who is usually notoriously bad keeping fragile ships alive.

All the C-Store Ships I mention I got using dil to zen, but I do not regret them.
KDF:
Fleet K'Tinga - Four Ship modules for the ability to fly the classic ship and zip around the battlefield like crazy for a crusier. My flagship.
Guramba Siege Destroyer - This ship is just outright fun to fly. The Javelin is an amazing piece of destructive technology.
Mat'ha Raptor - I came, I saw, I destroyed.
Federation:
T5 Excelsior - My Fed's current flagship. Powerful, beautiful, and canon all roled into one.
Eclipse - A powerhouse with a very good layout, but just does not have the beauty of the Excelsior.
My first C-Store ship was the Tier 5 Excelsior and I loved it more than anything. I still like it, even though I use Science ships now (though that might change) and I did buy the T6 Excelsior for the trait.
My list of happy purchases is longer than regrets thankfully.
The Vesta 3-pk -- I was stoked to get this and waited about a month after they came out and checked out reviews before I got it. This was the only time I used actual $$$ to buy anything in game.
T'Varo Retrofit -- This was the main ship on my Rom for a long time. If the rumored T6 variant comes soon I have zen ready.
Scryer -- This was the ship I wanted when DR came out. Still using it (albeit the fleet version) on my main.
Pathfinder -- This one I was hesitant to get. But between it sitting in ESD and the sale on it I got it. Didn't use it much beyond getting the trait on my main, but I've used it as the end game ship exclusively on my Delta recruit.
I have been playing STO for 5 years and I have tons of ships. Ships I have not used for years, that pre-date the DOFF and the Fleet system. I regret none of the purchases.
Every one I bought I had some fun in at some point or other. That, for me, is the important point.
I have been extremely happy with almost every ship I have bought, for specific reasons on each
1. Original series bundle and ship not only gives that ship and awesome interior, but you can go level 1 to almost endgame grinding up on those weapons to save up some credits.
2. Every Defiant I have.....can't wait for the t6 and t6 fleet, and would advance buy 50 other variants.
3. the vesta bundle great science ship with teeth
4. pathfinder and all intrepid variants, great interior and just a solid endgame ship.
5. All the excelsior class ships....just pound for pound the best cruisers in the game in my oppinion.
Satisfied with most ships minus the ones noted in the other thread.
Notable mentions:
- Faeht: Nothing like it. Versatile. Perfect as a full stealth bomber. Feels like a Science Ship & Escort all in one. Wish it had more hull. Plenty of active abilities. The design is an instant classic.
- 3-Pack Vestas: They're super-loaded with active abilities more than any other ship perhaps on par or second only to Scimitar set, versatile, still unique with aux-cannons and real (if universally still broken) flight deck (unlike that uncontrollable no-UI pet of Pathfinder), skin designs work well with each other and looks all-round awesome, a worthy T6 = instant buy
- 3-Pack Romulan Dreadnoughts: more active abilities than any other ship, versatility of console layout helps, its consoles are a lot of fun even if sadly they've been outdated as gimmicks, it's fun to fly something ridiculously large with terrible inertia and slow turning, worthy OP T6 = instant buy
- Scryer: basic cloak on a full science ship that also doubles as an intel ship. Wish it had a flight deck instead of the swarm drones.
- 3-Pack Romulan Pilot ships: waiting on a sale, but I have no doubt they are great, just don't like the way they look at all, but will settle for a mini-Scimitar
- *Avenger/Arbiter: how could I forget these. Something about them that makes them real fun, where I actually use the cruiser commands on the fly. Like a pocket no-compromise cruiser that doubles as an escort. Each looking great, and even better combined.
The differences between ships has been great enough to allow for diversity of playstyles, although the trend is going towards everything being all-round good, which is ruining this. Before DR, it used to be exciting adjusting your play-style and coordinating team tactics based on what ship combinations people bring in. Now everyone does everything and can take care of themselves that who cares what they fly as long as they know or make an effort to know the mission objectives and don't ignore team chat.
Best buys? I've spent probably 40% of my total game time flying my Avenger (or the even-more-beloved fleet variant), and I'm only holding off on getting an Arbiter because I... uh... strongly suspect a certain Tactical Escort will see a T6 release soon, and I'm interested in seeing what all they do with it, and I'm waiting for a ship sale (might get the battlecruiser bundle if I rack up the Zen for it before the sale). Similarly, I've been flying my Fed Pilot escorts since they came out; I fly an Ajax 'cause I prefer my ships a little tankier than the Mercury, but the pilot maneuvers really sell any of them in my eyes.
The T6 Fleet Heavy Escort Carrier is my main's main ride. The re-worked Akira skin is gorgeous, she flies like a dream, and she's a tough not-so-little ship. Everything I wanted except for grav wells. I also don't regret the Ambassador, Excelsior, or Negh'tev purchases either, even if I don't roll them out all that often. Things to maybe play with once I'm finished with all the progression I have planned for Renunee and her Akira.
This is the one ship I still have my eye on. Seems like a lot of people like it too.
That's the one C-Store ship that I don't have that I want. Maybe after I replenish my Dilithum Supply thanks to the Crystaline Event.
Its got a great trait - {Pen} based on speed; 0 - 15% depending.
And really nice for DBB builds.
The reverse maneuvers gives you 2 firing runs per pass, if you time it right you can get 3 firing runs per pass.
Pretty fun ship to fly in general as well.

Yeah, I like the layout of the Icarus as well as the Trait. I was looking at it for a DBB build.
Thanks for the tip, I'll probably end up checking it out pretty soon. Looks like a really fun ship to fly.
Best ship i ever bought in the game is the romulam science pilot ship
1000% this ^^^^^. This ship is just nasty. 5/2 wep setup with 4 DBB's, Rom hyper torp and omni plasma/kcb out back. Very survivable and great dps. Fun ship.
I do wish there was a t6 mirror mogai but alas. That was an epic ship while leveling up.
Never regretted the Vesta pack. I flew a variation that ship on a bunch of different alts. Great in PvE and great as a PvP heal boat. I only gave up my Vesta on my Fed Sci when the Scryer came out and I've not regretted that purchase either
I bought the mega pack of Pilot ships, as well, and my KDF and Rom Tacs fly only those now. Great, fun ships! Gawd, do they hit hard
For me, it's the Mobius. I always go back to that. I'd rank the Risian Corvette second.
I do more damage in some other ships but the Mobius is fun. The build I have doesn't deal the most damage but is virtually death proof and has all the gimmicks on it.
I like my fleet Varanus, and everything else I bought so far... tho I have to admit the Morrigu is by far my all time favorite purchase... The t6 Mogh and Avenger that came with it are.... ok... I miss a second sci console but the morrigu... shes a sweet sweet ship... Pity I dont have the consoles for the set but still shes awesome
Just recently bought myself a Voth Bastion Flight Deck Crusier and I am not regretting it. First ship that I was able to buy by selling stuff on the exchange. Had my eye on it for awhile as well.
On a side note, my first C-Store purchase was the Oddy bundle used those ships for the longest time, before replacing them with the new Tier 6 Command ships. Here's hoping to a Tier 6 Oddy bundle in the future.
I haven't even been playing six months, but I've already got a couple favorites. For my first character, Rowan flies her light on an Arbiter, and I love it to death. Before that it was a T5-U Avenger, and I snagged the Arbiter for fun. Kept the hull, but went with the Avenger saucer and nacelles. Not only does it look awesome, it's an awesome combat platform.
I also love my Engi's Guardian class. Yeah, it handles like an iron pig, but god can it slug it out.
By far my favorite ship thus far though is the unassuming...Constellation class at Tier 4. My first real cruiser, and I just smile whenever I decide to take it out for a spin. Once I join a fleet, I may actually get the Tier 5 version. I love it that much. It's just a punchy, plucky and no-nonsense workhorse ship, and for that I adore it.
"So you walk eternally through the shadow realms, standing against evil where all others falter. May your thirst for retribution never quench, may the blood on your sword never dry, and may we never need you again."
-Dedication plaque of the Federation Starship U.S.S. Merkava
- Cruiser Refit - the extra Eng slot is handy, and I can still fly in TMP style.
- All variants of the Galaxy/Galaxy-X (although, I didn't like paying multiple times for them to get a ship that doesn't suck, and fix the damn phaser lance alignment on the model already).
- Both Defiants - I like the Sao Paulo nose on the stock Defiant, and Quad Phasers? Yes, please.
- T3/T5 Excelsior - they were/are awesome ships. Why the T3 wasn't in the game from the start is beyond me. It was the first non-ugly Fed Cruiser at the Commander level.
- Constellation - again, conspicuously absent from the launch, but finally showed up. The T5 is pretty impressive, although the red nacelle tips still bug me.
- T5 D7/K'tinga - pure awesome; an iconic end-game ship. The KDF finally got something over the Feds.
- T5 B'rel - well, I didn't really "buy" it. It was a lot of fun back when torpedoes counted for more.
- T5 T'Varo - Mega. Plasma. Torpedo. I put it on the T'liss because I can.
- I'd say T5 D'D, but again, I just pick up the freebie at level 50 because a) it's a D'D, and b) all the other Romulan ships look goofy.

Scimitar pack: one size fits all.
T6 Galaxy. Hilarious. Will upgrade to t6 dread if it ever comes.
