Just as the title says, we have a thread for ships that people wish they never bought.. what about ships you consider worth the time/money you spent to get them?
For me it's my original 'End Game Ship' the Fleet Assault Cruiser Refit. I didn't actually buy the Regent because I didn't want the skin or the consoles, I just loved my tough as nails, Fleet Level Sovereign. Flew that for a very long time well into DR and still take it out on occasion.
I have had a lot of fun as well with the T5-U Fleet Mogai. I don't own the T6 version because I'm quite happy with the T5U, great balance of toughness and DPS potential. Great with Beams or Cannons, very versatile and fun ship. I also own the Valdore and use it's console. More fun then my Scimitar and not as common to see in Sector Space.
At the T6 Level, I have had a lot of fun with my Presidio, which is my Main characters 'flagship.' Overall, I'm not huge on the carrier mechanic in STO, but I still like my Elite Obelisk Swarmers, and I get really good damage and high survivability from the Presidio. Very well rounded and fun cruiser. There is nothing it doesn't do well.
Insert witty signature line here.

My first impression was that the lack of weapon efficiency was a deal killer, but really with all the options we have now days that was insignificant compared excellent BOFF layout together with Inspiration and a Hanger. Even the appearance grew on me over time, and I can see it for what it was intended as- a multi-role Federation command ship the developed out of previous generation of starships. It's the only Cryptic design I've liked.
The T5 Excelsior comes in second, and it's a shame that the T6 version is just so much junk.
On the Klingon side, I'm sticking with my T5U K'tinga. For Romulan, the T5U T'varo. No plans to replace either.
-Got a LOT of use out of that Regent...
Fleet Mogai
Mat'ha Raptor...
Basically every ship I got... except maybe the Qib. Didn't really like that one.
+The Alita is also a nice, nimble, and sturdy ship that is quite fun. I don't even need to use the fighters that much.
+All 3 faction tac pilot ships are also quite fun. On top of everything else, it has the lunge ahead/pull back/ flip over to the side feature. I mainly use pull back to lengthen my forward barrage time, and lunge ahead when I'm stuck and can't get out.
+The Negh'tev serves as my Klingon toon's flagship. The only KDF ship in my squadron that sticks to beams and torpedoes, with no cannons. Not because it can't, for it's turn rate is quite decent I think you can get away with it, but because I just decide so.
+The Mogh cruiser is the first KDF zen ship I picked up. It's quite neat to be able to have 2 beams and a torp on each side, and room for 2 cannons up front on top of that. And the turn rate lets me get away with it.
+The Mogai was the first zen warbird and the only one I could deal with until the T6s started showing up.
+The Vastam warbird is the flagship for my Rom characters, and it suits both My KDF eng, and Fed tac like a glove.
?I would look forward to adding the T6 Prometheus and Hegh'ta to the list.
K'Nor - IKS Ch'Tang, Mat'Ha Raptor T6: http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=ikschtang_8710
Before the Vesta came, I also think it was the best Science Vessel in the game. Science has so many good low level utility abilities that you can never go wrong with an extra science ensign.
All the Defiant variants. I really love this ship, too. Though I am waiting for the Tier 6 variant. (We know it's in the works, but I fear I'll have to wait for October for it to release, if they really want to tie it in with DS9 themed content... We'll see.)
I've bought 4 lockbox ships in total, 3 off the exchange and one was a really lucky lockbox win. I regret buying the first one from the exchange, but the second two, the Astika and the new Krenim Warship, are both absolutely brilliant. No regrets at all on buying those. The warship especially, for a non-sci ship is sure can put out of an awful lot of science.
I don't do PvP, so even though it may take a couple of days to figure it out, I've come up with more than adequate set ups for every single one of them in Advanced and Elite modes.

Forever a STO Veteran-Minion
The first purchase I made in game was the TOS Bundle, and I have never regretted it! I ran the TOS Connie till about level 40 on each of my three FEDs, and I still use the TOS phaser pistols, retrofit phasers, Connie interiors (now on Galaxy-X's), and Type F shuttles on all 3, and uniforms on two of the 3. Of course, I only use the Gal-X's because there aren't any Tier 5 or 6 you-know-whats.
Same for my Alien-gen TOS Klingon, and my 2 TOS Romulans.
My Gorn flies an Orion Marauder which I got for free during a giveaway week, and it makes an ideal pirate ship for a Gorn Separatist like him.
I also enjoy the interior amenities of the Suliban Cell Ship which I bought on the exchange - but I never actually FLY it anywhere, I just go to the bridge to shop and DOFF. Same with the Risan Ferengi ship, except Dabo is the main draw there.
Obviously, I'm not a hardcore min-maxer, I'm just trying to make my game as TOS as possible, as it's what I enjoy most in Trek.
also the oddy 3 pack
But of the more recent ship purchases, I'd say the Pilot Ships were a pricey but best buy I've done. Basically, they're the Alpha Wolves of the Escort Pack. Pricey purchase but it gets all my characters, across all factions, full, 100% access to whatever Pilot Ship play has to offer.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Unless something else is announced I just can't live without. I am saving my favorite c-store KDF slot for a T6 K't'inga. That is the last C-store ship I want to buy.
While I have most of the lower tiered ships, the above two have provided me with the most fun. The only other ship that even comes close is the K't'inga, which has always been my favorite Sci-fi ship. Hope they add it and make it with a better BOff layout than the older versions.

My civillian trader character flew the NX from the Enterprise pack for her entire life, until she could finally get the tuffli off the exchange. Love both of those.
And though I aint played my rommie in months, I had a great deal of fun with the T5 D'Deridex. Which my Rommie Delta recruit will start flying once she gets that high, when I finally go back to playing them.
A Romulan Strike Team, Missing Farmers and an ancient base on a Klingon Border world. But what connects them? Find out in my First Foundary mission: 'The Jeroan Farmer Escapade'
Yep, I use that ship on my fed alts. No fancy gear just XI and XII trash gear, and jeez yesterday doing the the CC round they were performing nicely with TRIBBLE gear. ..... I immediately thought how stupid I'm for not picking up the megapack....
Just picked up the Presidio for AHOD, thinking it's just another Odyssey failure otherwise........ boy was I wrong...
Yup, same here.
The Arbiter for me was a must have, and I thoroughly enjoy every moment I fly it.
My Tac Command Cruiser is a close second.
As for my Escorts/Destroyers, my T6 HEC and Veteran ship will always be at the top of my list, along with the above cruisers.
Arbiter - Got it on its opening weekend using the monthly stipend I had been saving. I originally was going for the trait for my dreadnought, but ended up having fun with it. Not long after my next monthly stipend came in and straight off to get the fleet version. Been flying that ever since on my main. Best experience with it was when 5 Arbiters/Avengers rolled into a PVE together. Things just died.
Yes, I fly a Dreadnought cruiser. Deal with it.
The Vesta is just an amazing class of ships that have been made obsolete by T6. The reason I like the Dauntless over the Vesta is the intel seating. A T6 Vesta pack with intel seatingwould be sweet.
"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

Eclipse, stealth cruiser enough said
T6 Intrepid, a very good sci ship
-Lord Commander Solar Macharius
I think it has been my most used ship across characters and I really liked it.
Then more in line with buying, the T4 Vor'kang just for its beautiful skin. Also the diverse mogais because they're the nicest ships in all of Star Trek. And hope there's more. I'd just have to look in my data...
Sadly though, now that I think about it, most of the C-Store ships I bought I didn't really get much use from or don't think well enough of them to list them in this thread.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!
