I am currently trying to shove sto down my radeon hd4200's throat. Did it with Windows 7 & 8 before. Just a sounding board for related problems, solutions, and quirks. Frankly I am going to try to fix this new release graphics TRIBBLE faster than I saw it fixed with DX11's release. Yes, I know about the DX12 & Win10. Yes, I've done safe mode for STO. May the Iconians visit Microsoft's Tech team. If they can ever load to spawn. Not asking for help, just a pooling of problems so I can expedit a fix and share it. Think this is hopeless? "Well you should."

I have AMD R7 260X and i get the 3d error a lot in windows 10. i wonder if nvidia is better

Im running the HD7350 on Windows 10 (and yeh ok the DX issue is still there and has never been resovled for me before! upgrade to 10 from 8.1)

and I have zero issues running from safe mode then ramping up setting in game.

Yes! it would be AMAZING! if something could be sorted so i dont have to safe login but its not a major hassle.

So have you upgraded to latest driver etc etc etc...

because you can not blame Windows 10 when the issue has been there since Season 10 went live.​​

Nothing to do with Windows 10.... everything to do with terrible ARC decisions to force the game client to auto use DX11 when you launch the game, even if you select dx9 in-game....

using windows 10 and an R9 280 gfx board. No issues here with running dx11, at least, none are apparent.
Using the old client btw, not arc or steam.

The DX11 crashes aren't just Windows 10, or 8. It's any DX11.;.. regardless of Vista/7/8/10
