Basically, I was wondering if there has, or will be, a "canon" template for the Federation Diplomats uniform as there was for the others with the Odyssey "2410 Uniform Code" release.
Of course you can see Jiro Sugihara and even the Xindi Delegate and can approximate from there, but, as I say, I was wondering if there was anything "established".
Does anybody have any info?

There is no Official guide, and even the wiki does not elaborate, so I suppose you're out of luck.
white overall colour
department strip colour
grey middle for ranks below captain
captain and above its white middle
be careful thou as the uniform does tend to have a bit of glare so don't pick bright white lol or it gives you a very big glare looking at it.
l don't know.
l really don't know what l'm about to say, except l have a feeling about it.
That l must repeat the words that come without my knowledge.'
There is your canon uniform guide.

True... i searched for Diplomatic uniform, not dress uniform...

Look closely at this pic. Picard is not wearing any more of a closed jacket than Crusher is. The ribbed texture gives it away, as does the position of the gold braiding on both of their uniforms. As the Commander Picard has the central piece white, for all non-command the central would be division color.
We come in peace, SHOOT TO KILL!
I still don't have it on any of my Toons!
Hey, at least the grind isn't as utterly banal and slow as when I got it..

That grey looks way too blue. The deparment colors should be more emphasized.

The departmental colors are represented by a colored stripe on the sleves.

Good luck with that...
Its been that way since launch and I actually prefer it this way...
also, admirals are supposed t have pips on the sleeves.
Also still hoping for the TNG Dress uniform... and by dress I mean they were long enough to be a dress. LOL

I'd rather the deparment colors take the place of the grey background. Still looks blue to me, which make it look like everyone's a doctor or a scientist.

Then do it that Way! No one is saying you can't... we are just saying it won't be screen accurate which is what the OP was asking for.

It looks grey to me...despite what ever color it is...even if it is blue it's not the blue that science/medical used..they used a more greenish blue...more aquamarine...where if I'd call that a blue it's akin to navy blue.
Unfortunately it's not right in the game. The stripes on the sleeve cuffs are linked to the horizontal piping across wraps around the chest, back, and upper arms. As your screenshots show, the stripe on the sleeve and top edge of the collar is suppose to be colored according to department while all of the piping is gold regardless of department.
http://sto.gamepedia.com/Guide:_Uniform_colors/Canon_uniforms#TNG_Films_.2F_DS9_later_seasons_Dress_Uniforms Take a look and you'll see what I'm talking about. The piping on the left and right side of the chest and on the upper arms are colored in the game. These parts are suppose to be always gold.
Actually, if you look closely the in-game uniform isn't quite the Insurrection/Nemesis uniform. When asked about that, the Cryptic response was that the in-game unlock was intended to be a 2409 diplomatic uniform and that they might release an Insurrection uniform via C-Store.
There just hasn't been any movement on that or the MACO uniform presumably because ground costume sales are not great. This is part of why Lobi costumes and bundle costumes are more common, because they tend to sell better.
Stahl had some interest in the idea of weapon/ability/costume bundles the last time he was EP and the often used example was a Dixon Hill pack but I THINK they were waiting for the kit revamp before they looked at that because the idea likely would have been weapon + kit module + costume.
I think the idea might have also been to save the canon uniform for inclusion in a wedding pack along with Worf and Jadzia's wedding attire and a few other options because these were all apparently discussed at some level as costume options going further back.
I'm not sure how active roleplayers still are in the game. I think if I had to propose a concept for a bundle, it would probably be something like:
Canon diplo uniform, Worf and Jadzia costume, corsage badge unlock, throwing rice emote, new regency inspired dance emote (you can't really do close dancing with character sliders but you might manage some formal "no touch" dancing), alternate/extended Ferengi dance emote, new deck unlock access aboard ship with:
- Chapel based on the chapel in Balance of Terror
- State room with kitchen based on the Undiscovered Country (additional cooking, bartending, wedding planning DOff assignments)
- Ballroom
A wedding/event planner themed DOff
Maybe have the doors/walls/carpets matched to a few basic themes for interiors but the layout be the same across all ship types. If the basic tech for this could be worked out, you might have the basic tech needed for ship interior expansions with this since what you'd be developing (I recognize this is a non-trivial effort) would be fixed layout interiors with alternate wall color schemes/door shapes tailored to ship type. But once you have the tech to do that, both C-Store and in-game "unlockable ship areas" would become more viable since ships would only need unique doorways, wall consoles, maybe window shapes, and color schemes for the special areas.
So, the Space Barbie Castle Set.
Well, yeah. I see nothing wrong with that.
Which means Cryptic screwed up when adding the uniform to the game since the horizontal stripe should be gold but in game it reflects the same color as the wrists.
The one in game isn't supposed to be the Insurrection uniform. The Insurrection dress uniform isn't in game. The one in game is supposed to be a 25th century update of the Insurrection uniform.
