We’re excited to reveal the stats, items and abilities for three new starships: the Arbiter Class Battlecruiser, the Kurak Battlecruiser and the Morrigu Heavy Warbird!
These Tier 6 Battlecruiserswill be made available in the C-Store soon. These starships have three variants per faction and are available in three ways:
It does not look as if they have 3 variants per faction. Just one per faction.
A bit surprising, they seemed like a good potential fit. But they also fit Intel, I think. (Especially if you consider the "dark" skin for the Avenger).
And Intel is (IMO) the better specialization. Override Subsystem Safety seems like a bit boost to any ship.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
I do wonder if the Starship Mastery Trait works with SS1-3. Because that will be even more fun.
Personally, I still wish they gave the Arbiter's deflector section a look more in line with the USS Vengeance's (just omit the large weapon pods). It already has all the angular elements (while the Avenger just had the side profile) but a distasteful deflector design (didn't much like it on the Fed DSDs, and don't much like it on this one either). It would have been perfect otherwise.
Surprised by that myself. Stopped reading after that part.
Why? Intel powers are quite powerful.
Very interesting Stats... Gonna be quite fun to fly.
The Romulans got a few extra shiny's which is cool and interesting.
I don't disagree that Intel powers are good. But I already have several Intel ships, and after seeing a Sovereign class used in the pilot powers blog months back I kind of hoped that this would be a Pilot boff ship rather than another Intel.

the Morrigu only has 4 forward weapons? confirm this as a typo, pls
It's not a typo. It's not a Battlecruiser, it's a Tactical Warbird, and just like it'S Tier 5 sister, it has a 4/3 weapon layout. It also has a full tactical BO loadout, 5 tactical consoles rather than 4, and a 5 points higher turn rate than the Battlecruisers. Oh, and traits that mostly focus on damage/weapon buffs.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
I have a small request with these ship stats announcements. Could give us the specific stats of the consoles and traits instead of a general idea of what they do? Like how much weapon haste and how much weapon power cost reduction does Emergency Weapon Cycle actually do. Is it more powerful using a EPTW III than using EPTW I?
How much does the Ablative Hazard Shield actually absorb and how much unmodified hull and shield healing does it do? Is the healing from it boosted from skills? What about aux power? How potent is the passive?
Stuff like that. Info really helps with purchasing decisions.
I noticed there's been no updates to the VATA Consoles, which is somewhat disappointing. It would have been nice if the 2-pc set bonuses also improved them (at least improve their travel speed, maximum firing distance, and firing rate).
Considering that T6 mogai costs 3k zen - like pilot sihps, they ARE EXTREAMLY UNDERPOWERED STAT WISE for PVP and PVE:
inferior weapons slots (no 5/2),
VASTLY INFERIOR TURN RATE (over 25% inferior),
VASTLY INFERIOR IMPULSE MOD (almost 25% inferior),
VASTLY INFERIOR NO OP PILOT MANEUVERS (so no way to block EVERY BO3 or TS3 dmg spike in 1 on 1 and reposition your self),
VASTLY HIGHER CREW NUMBER - huge drawback for prolonged fights,
weaker interia,
no COMMANDER grade INTEL (or PILOT) seating,
On + side though slightly better shield mod (not rly needed when only non laging dmg has 100% shield pen in this game) and hull that will take around 1-2 more dhc blots (whole +-3k LOL) but dhc's dont fire so 1-2 beam - as Cryptic uses beams now even in screens since they know dhc's and torps dont fire almost at all in the game .
So they are not even on the same tier/class of power (the power PVP or PVE wise it gives is worth around 1-1,5k zen when considering Pilot ships vs these ship.
Sadly even if i have the all mogai/valdores there were im not gona waste Zen for something that is SO VASTLY INFERIOR to Pilot ships - could consider it when the Pilots are balanced out so other escorts can actually compete with them, or this T6 mogai gets buffed.
Edit:
Trait only usalbe pve wise (for pvp nothing can stand properly without eptS and E so actually something is in your firing arc and not 2173897583k away)
Surprised by that myself. Stopped reading after that part.
Why? Intel powers are quite powerful.
Because if you want an Intel cruiser there's already the Eclipse and Qib which have more intel, better cloaks, and better turning, or for an Intel escort-ish warbird the Faeht with the same advantages. These don't really add anything new.

Actually, these are quite good updates to ships that were..somewhat lacking. Also, those Battlecruisers came with the Gather Intel mechanic - these ships don't.
Oh NOW Im logged in? Yesterday this forum wasnt working at all for me. Anyways, as everyone on facebook said, that Fed ship is the ugliest thing in Starfleet. I thought we laughed the Legoprize out of Starfleet? How did it sneak its way back in. I guess Cryptic just lets the ship guy pull whatever he wants out of his a$$ and try to sell it. Ship design really needs to be outsourced, since its clear the in house guys are clueless as to what makes a sleek, sexy, and beautiful Fed design.

Uhh, trendy, you better fix the typo on the two battlecruisers (Fleet and normal versions) it states "1 Command Engineering" instead of 1 Commander Engineering.
Other than that, the stats are as expected, barring the nice surprise of intel being the chosen spec.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
Intel specialization is nice although the hybrid seating should have been on ltc. universal instead of ltc. tac. on T6 Mogh/Avenger, like T6 Mogai has it.
Which, to my eyes' dismay, is one hideous, ugly eyesore.
Anyways, these seem like decent ships, even if they're not the coolest-looking ships in the Alliance's fleet. I do own a fleet Mogh and lack of discount for owning one hurts my pocket, which means I doubt I'll ever buy that T6 version. Plus, another battlecruiser is not really what I want.
I hold out for the T6 defiant or Pilot ship sale for my baby Delta. I would be tempted for the kdf ship, however you guys did too nice a job with the Breen carrier and I'm happy in her for my Klingon
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
The only ship the I see myself grinding the zen out for is the Rom. She looks like a good solid ship, though I am questioning the use of intel abilities for these ships. They are battle cruisers; command or pilot skills would make more sense for them. I feel though the rom ship should have one more sci con.
Space is vast, it's wonderful and maddening. Yet in that madness is some of the greatest beauty I have ever seen.
First and foremost "design by committee" doesn't work.
When I first saw the teaser pics of the Arbiter I was immediately drawn to the design. It's a thing of beauty although not in the graceful sweeping lines way, but more of a tech way. Fantastic design with some really great elements to it...split deflector dish, forward swept pylons, and the sleek "shark-like" low profile.
Immediate buy for me. Stats and traits are secondary to the look, which is sharp and aggressive. Looks like visible hard points for weapons and less windows (or inset ones) to retain that "battle" look. It feels stronger, more solid, and ready for combat.
Other than that, some comments given are nasty, rude, and uncalled for...in fact the ugliest thing I've seen in this game are actually on the forums.

Trendy, will you please ask the people who decide how the boff seating will go on ships: Will the Ensign seats ever totally go away? I myself had thought that we might see the last of them with the rise of the tier six ships. However it looks like that's not going to happen.
Maybe with the tier seven ships?
Also, when will M/ARA and Singularity Warp Cores get Transwarp as a sustained speed? Being able to go Warp 11, 12, 13, 14, or even 15 across the whole map sure would be nice. And without any Borg ship consoles. By 2410 ships should be able to do more than make short transwarp jumps.
The next step would be Tele-Drives of course. Teleportational Drive is the only way to fly! Make it so!
The costume designs are getting worse and worse. I think that's the ultimate goal of the Iconians. To kill all designers so that our ships look so bad no one wants to fly it. Then no one will oppose them.
The first Belfast was commanded by Captain Ve'Kal Shon until its destruction in 2409. A new ship was commissioned bearing the same name and registry as special dispensation to then newly promoted Captain Edward XIII for his pivotal role during the renewed Dominion War.

Yeah, was a "huh" moment for sure.
That surprised me too.

Because these might be the next "Reciprocity" for Romulans (potentially lolworthy on Scimitars) and KDF (making that Bortasqu a better FaW'er).

Yeah same here. I don't really like these designs. Only thing that would pull me out of my T5U Excelsior is a T6 Excelsior and that seems unlikely.
