I would take the Typhoon over the new Fed ship. At least it looks like a ship and not scrap bolted / welded together. This is why I'm liking the Concord. At least it looks like a good ship and similar to the Typhoon. My choice over a new Fed BC. It will be the far better Concord.
Well, your preference aside.. the Typhoon will not be coming. I know a lot of people wanted it, I was one of them.. but most of us have just accepted that it's not going to happen. The Presidio/Concorde/Geneva are far more detailed models then the Typhoon was anyway, the Typhoon would have needed some pretty hefty re-skinning before it would have been a playable ship.
I'm going to have to see the T6 Avenger in game to determine my exact opinion.. in that picture on the site it looks pretty ugly.
Have to say, I might grab the Arbiter Class over my planned Pathfinder. As for the Mogh's T6 version, it looks like it rann head irst into a tree trunk.

The Arbiter-type is not exactly pretty, but it looks okay-ish (considering the Avenger before it). The T6 Mogh, however, is terrible. TERRIBLE. I don't even...

They could make bring it up to spec if they work on it. Plus with some variations. They could be phasing out the ship, since they are using other ships. However it might come back in the future who knows. I'm not accepting it won't never show up. I still will keep the faith it will. Until then the Concorde is the best option we have at the time.

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
One quick question about the costume unlock, they've stated you can use the T5 costumes but I also have the fleet version, can I use the Fleet T5 costume unlock as well?

It's gonna be really funny when T7 comes out, and they do this yet again...
not going to happen there is no reason to go that high in tier for ships just like if they ever raised the lvl cap again what would be the purpose and what ranks would there be super fleet admiral no again not going to happen.

You become Federation President/Romulan Proconsul/Klingon Chancellor.
I can't but join the chorus about the Fed and Kink ships, nasty, but the Rommy one is nice.
It's a shame as these were the only T6 ships I was waiting for, the other types left me a tad flat and considering I'm not a power player who has to Pokemon all the ships i feel a tad let down.
Surely they must look to evolving ship designs, but this evolution looks like the checked out pre school colouring in books and ignored most of the other sources. A crying shame, YMMV, aesthetics are a personal thing so some may love them, just not me.
The Arbiter is uglier than the new forums, so there's that.
You wont get any argument from me on that one. The best looking one out the bunch is the Romulan one. Although the starship trait sounds interesting and might be worth a look. But 3000 zen for something that might not perform as well as it sounds or might be out performed by my current set of traits. It'll have to wait I'm afraid, especially given how butt ugly the ships are.
I think I find myself in that post as well.
Next lock box is due and so are 3 more escorts. I wait that one out easily.

I see a sad trend here ... First we got the gawd awful "Squashed Origami Chicken" Romulan Pilot Ships, the "Flavored Cracker Biscuit" Fed Pilot Ships and the "wuht tha?" Klingon pilot ships ... Not to mention the "D7 run over by a steamroller" Qib Intel cruiser <shudder> after which we go the "WTF?" with the backwards flying Nandi and now we have the new Fed and KDF Battlecruisers. <sigh>
And TBH, the only reason why the Romulan one looks good, is because it's essentially a clone of the Mogai/Valdore, which was already a shmexy looking ship ... Yippee for small miracles I guess.
Ship design and aesthetics seems to have taken a downwards turn lately for sure.

Most defiantly. Either Cryptic is setting some new folks at ship designing task which have a hard time keeping up or it’s all part of the marketing philosophy. In best case you are going to buy:
- 4 Tier 6 ships for the traits you like to have
- 1 Tier 6 ship you actually like to fly and end up but with but with an unfitting trait so you can use the other 4 on it
- 1 Tier 5 predecessor variant of that ship to get it looking good.

The specialization traits might handle one or more of the Ship Traits you want, but that's a nitpick. This is indeed the truth of the matter and has been something I planned since they started the re-release of T5 ships as T6.
Then to add insult to injury, if a new trait comes that is 'must have", you have to replace older purchased trait and the cost of course goes up. Heaven help you if it needs a set of different traits in addition to work at its best. That is the nature of the trait system that has been put in place.

Those were actually based on Scimitar concept art for ST: Nemesis. Especially with the Tac and Eng variants, you can see the inspiration in the unique wing structure and the sharp lines.
With very few exceptions, Cryptic knows how to design great-looking warbirds.

I doubt they are having a hard time keeping up with so many talented artists out there eager to fill their portfolio with something, anything.
The great ship design potential is still there, like the Pathfinder, Romulan Command Ships, Andromeda, and the whole DR Pack (granted the latter is either you like it or hate it), but for some reason lately it is just all over the place, with a greater trend towards designs that are entirely uninspired, as if drawn by children who have no interest or talent in art, or downright illogical as with backwards-flying ships or paper-thin carriers that can't possibly house frigates.
At first glance the Arbiter has some interesting lines, borrowing a bit from the Vestas, but then it looks much too big, contains completely disjoint hull features and textures (just like the Rom Pilots), and is topped off with an atrocious deflector "bone" that just sticks out like something out of a horrible injury.
Otherwise, will try to reserve judgment on the Arbiter until I see it in 3D, see how the parts fit (or fail to fit) with my Avenger (which I think is one of the best looking ships in the game), and hopefully there's an option to completely remove that deflector beam part.
Don't care for Kurak, they can keep their ugly Klingon design trend, or for this constant stream of cruiser upon cruiser while Rom & KDF get nothing for Science.
Also, why is the Morrigu getting a 4/3 layout? Same with the Aelahl fleet variant getting a Sci console of all things.

Better than the Lego Brick that is the Avenger.
Oh heck yeah!!
CM
But man, that Arbiter-class is one fugly-looking ship. I'll be changing it to the Avenger skin the second I get it.

Indeed. The trait is very tempting and frankly looks OP, however I'm doing really well with the set of traits I have now. So there's no rush here.
