Purple Gorn BOFF's

Every Purple Gorn BOFF I buy or aquire through DOFF missions ends up being Blue after I make them a part of my crew. I would like to have an all purple Gorn away team but can not due to the Bug.

    The problem is there are no "purple gorn". For a Boff to be purple he needs 2 "superior" traits, problem is standard Gorn come with 3 fixed traits.
    Basic Reptilian Strength
    (standard) Cold Blooded
    (standard) Resilient


    So the best they can get is "rare" if the only optional trait is a "superior" variant.
    It's less of a bug but more of a flawed system mechanic.

    This also affects Nausicaans and Letheans. Every single one always reverts to Blue.
    I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

    Nausicaans don't have this problem, since only Pirate and Physical Strength are fixed. Letheans that have Efficient do, however, as Efficient has no Superior variant.

    I think feds had (have?) the same problem with saurian boffs, it's a "feature" going all the way back to the start of the game

    who knows why at this point

    I can confirm this issue also applies to Saurians, because they can't get any more Efficient.
