Defiant: T6 will come with a new console. Currently, the Defiant has access to Cloaking Device and Phaser Quads but do not make up a set. With the arrival of T6 Defiant, I believe a 3 item set will be made.
I like it all, except this.
Give me that Dual Quantum Torpedo Launcher, and be done with it. :P If you want to throw a console on top of that, fine... though, I want the set bonus to be "Hand of Sisko," and it simply removes enemies from existence, permanently, via the Prophets.
Seriously, though... the Defiant doesn't need a gimmick console. Give it a weapon, and make it kill better. That's what The Sisko calls for.
will it have the origanal ship skin from the t5 version I really loved the avenger battleship before the t6 ships came out it was a awesome ship:D
Something tells me there is going to be a tier 6 avenger (and faction related counterparts) very soonish (this month).
If recent releases are any indication I expect the new ships to look horrible BUT IF you are an owner of the Tier 5 ship you may put the old skin on.
Think general strategy player should get accustomed to is to is to buy tier 6 crafts for the stats (and/or traits) while buying tier 5 ships for the looks.

Leaked pics actually look nice, like the T5 models but somewhat sleeker but still part of the family (and this said by someone who thinks the base models of both ships are in the too-ugly-to-use category). IF I were in the market for a new cruiser, they'd be worth a look now.
It could be possible that any theoretical Avenger/Mogh/Mogai could have double Hybrid seats; say Intel and Command or Intel and Pilot (and be the first non-Promo/Event ships to have double Spec seats, after the JHSS).
If Avenger and Mogh get the Ensign Tac upgraded to Lt Tac/Hybrid, it and the Lt Sci could get double Hybrid (or instead of the Lt Sci seat, it'd be the Lt Uni seat, similar to the JHSS). While if the Mogai gets the Ensign Sci upgraded to Lt Sci/Hybrid, the Lt Universal or Lt Tac seats would get the second Hybrid seat.
This is all assuming of course, that they don't intend to make the LtC Tac seats on the Mogh and Avenger and the LtC Engineer seat on the Mogai a single Hybrid (which would make them the second non-Event ships to have an LtC Hybrid seat; the first being the X-Faction Cruiser trio).
As to the rumors of a T6 Defiant, B'Rel, and T'Varo, I'm just a little disappointed they went that route instead of doing a double bundle: A "Raider" pack consisting of the Aquarius, B'Rel, and new Romulan Raider, and an "Escort" pack consisting of the Defiant, a(nother) raptor, and the T'Varo, since it would make better sense with the Boff seating loadout.
Of course, the current path does lead to the possibility that the B'Rel is being brought in-line with the Defiant and T'Varo in terms of Boff seating (more fixed seats), or that the Defiant and T'Varo will be made more flexible like the B'Rel (more Uni seats), or an even balance of both (roughly 50% Uni and 50% fixed). After all, they did break from repeating the Pathfinder's layout for the Galaxy and it's faction sisters, so I would expect they'd break old Boff seatings for these as well if the felt it ideal.
I don't think the Mogh/Avenger/Mogai nor Defiant/B'Rel/T'Varo ships will be Double-Specialization Ships. Double-Specialization has been reserved for Cryptic's "Premium" ships: Lockbox, Lobi, Promo Ships. The current ships off the top of my head with Double Spec?
JHSS - Promo Ship
Xindi Cruiser - Lobi Store Ship
T6 Xindi Escort - Lockbox Ship
Cryptic had plenty of opportunity to implement Double Spec in the Faction Ships at T6. But none of them are. The Specialization Ships like Pilot Ships, Intel Ships, Command FDCs? No. The likes of the Non-Full Specialization Ships like Galaxy, D'Deridex, Negh'Var, Matha Raptor, Guardian, Aehlal, etc.? No Double Spec.
IMO, Cryptic is going to keep Double Spec in the Premium Ships.
Google T6 Avenger to look at the new pics leak on Imgur. The Avenger looks bad to the bone...
Not to me, though the phrase "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" of course applies. Not fond of that T6 Avenger, Mogh, Mogai look. But the T6 Avenger model at least looks better than the Enlarged Shuttle that is the T5 Avenger.
Give me that Dual Quantum Torpedo Launcher, and be done with it. :P If you want to throw a console on top of that, fine... though, I want the set bonus to be "Hand of Sisko," and it simply removes enemies from existence, permanently, via the Prophets.

Personally, I don't think a new gimmick weapon will help the effectiveness of the Defiant. Having to slot that Godawful Phaser Quad Cannon to have a supposed Set Bonus is punishment enough.
kk, what now? Ok Looks is in the eye of the beholder and I suppose we probably even look at working progress. Yet somehow I have the weird feeling different peeps design the latest ships but could also easily mistaken.
But in any case Cryptic new system is working as intended. In best case you buy 4 ships for the traits, 1 for the stats and 1 for the looks.
Here is to variety and loving zen.

if it has intel, I'm sold, if it has intel with LT science, I'm DOUBLE SOLD!!!!.....if it has crappy starship trait, then I'll wait for the fleet version.
Funny how if the Situation were reversed and there were a myriad of Escorts on the market then not many people would complain.
Can't speak for anybody else, but I don't use escorts. I don't know why you jump to conclusions like that.
It is however fact that there are 20+ cruisers at T6 (faction, cross-faction and counting the command cruisers as three ships). Further, I have fixed ships for my characters and currently I'm waiting for a Nebula update, a non-Starfleet fed designed Sci/Cruiser (preferably Tellarite, maybe Vulcan) and Klingon sci ships. So new cruisers or battelcruisers just don't tickle my fancy at the moment.

If the leaks are accurate... (of course they are but I throw that in for someone's Internet spaz-attack which always happens whenever someone comments on this kind of thing,) it looks like the designers of the Regent Assault Cruiser and the Avenger Battlecruiser met up at Club 47, drank too much together, and figuratively conceived the sexy offspring of the two.
I love how this thing looks, now I just need to determine what weapon type to arm her with. (Antiproton maybe, but I already have that so maybe disruptor, though phaser would be appropriate too.)

Aye, its overkill with the Cruisers now. With a T6 Oddy almost 100% guaranteed as well within the next six months, its becoming a Cruiser fest. I wouldn't mind seeing some updated T5 Escort or Science vessels taken to T6 to even things out.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
I'll be honest, I just don't care for the look of the saucer. the rest is pretty cool though. I hope they will allow for the old Avenger saucer to be used.
Like I said earlier ,another sci console for a -threat console, with 5 up front, and you have one heck of a tac cruiser. Still loving my old FT5-U.
My mother always told me to walk away from a fight, The Marines taught me how.
It is a gaming forum. I do not need a reason to do it, just the desire to do it.

(I'm still pissed they didn't just upgrade the Sheshar's Hybrid seat to a Science/UniSpec Hybrid. Would have made them so much more money; esp. on a Promo ship that would have been the first to have a Universal Specialization seat, though still restricted to Science).
I wouldn't say those are a *Pilot* Sheshar and Assault Cruiser...I'm pretty much sure they said Pilot would be for smaller ships.

IMO, Cryptic is going to keep Double Spec in the Premium Ships.
I wouldn't put it past them; they need some fancy sales pitch to sell these ships right away. If they were just releasing them to add choices for some holdouts not content with the current line-up of T6s, it would have been a different thing.
Originally, Cryptic wasn't even going to remake T6 versions of ships for a longer while (except the Intrepid, since they already did 90% of the work; their words).
Then, they initially mentioned that they weren't planning on giving non-Specialized and non-Event/Promo ships an LtC Hybrid slot, then they did so with the Andro/Negh/D'K (and TRIBBLE over the D'K in regards to the Hybrid seat, but that's a different issue).
They also mentioned that they didn't intend to ever fit two specializations on a ship this early into the Specialization system (IIRC, the original statement didn't have them planned until later on in S10, when they "should have several Specializations" to choose from), but we got the JHSS only 2 Specializations in (no doubt as a testbed). So if they do go Double Spec, it'd be inferior to their Promo and Lockbox ships which have an LtC and Lt Hybrid, but serve as their current sales pitch.
The main reason I brought it up is because the timing is odd, given that normally we'd only be getting Pilot versions of T5s (based on their release schedule with the Intel and Command Specializations), then some random other ship afterwards (usually as part of a new lockbox/lobi/event update). So while I'm probably overthinking it, the only other unique loadout that was recently released was the JHSS unique double Spec seating, which was later done with the Xindi Primate Dreadnought.
Do I expect a Double Spec or LtC Hybrid on these battlecruisers? No.
Do I expect some forum rage if it's just a single Lt Hybrid on them? Yes.
Funny how if the Situation were reversed and there were a myriad of Escorts on the market then not many people would complain.
It is true if this game were way more Escorts than Cruisers, the situation would be the same, just with different things. However, Lopsided Ship Releases are still that: Lopsided Ship Releases. Let's take a look at T6 ship categories (counting ship packs as 1):
Escorts
Fed: 2
KDF: 2
Rom: 2
Cross Faction: 4
Raiders (colossal failure by Cryptic, IMO)
All: 0
Cruisers
Fed: 4
KDF: 3
Rom: 3
Cross Faction: 5 (Command & Intel Sheshar variants counted as 1)
*Whew!* For a minute I thought there weren't enough T6 Cruisers!
Science
Fed: 3
KDF/Rom: 0
Cross Faction: 0
I was deeply concerned there were too many KDF & Rom SCI Vessels and not enough Fed ones.
So yeah. Lopsided Ship Releases are what they are.
Edit: For added fun with the info about some of the upcoming ship releases, you can bump up some numbers if you want:
Defiant: +1 Fed Escort
B'Rel: +1 KDF Raider
T'Varo: +1 Rom Escort
Avenger/Mogh (Copy & Paste Ships): +1 Fed/KDF Cruiser
Mogai: +1 Rom Escort
Granted, a number of these ships are highly desired to be taken to T6 (esp the Defiant and BOP), but it doesn't help to alleviate some very serious T6 ship category gaps.
The ship releases may be lopsided, but they at least seem to make sense to me.
For example - what should Command ships be?
Science VEssels?
Escorts?
Cruisers?
Carriers?
I think Cruiser or Carrier makes the most sense. So if their first idea for a new specialization after Intel is Command, then it made sense to me to pick one of the two. They picked Cruiser. Cruisers always seemed to be the backbone of any fleet in Star Trek. Carriers were... well, quite frankly never depicted on screen, or if they were, they never showed any carrier abilites and were never referred to. So it makes sense to me to pick Cruiser over Carrier. Aside from the risk that maybe some KDF players would get angry because the Federation now as a "real" Carrier.
Pilot? That screams Escort. Maybe Raider, but Raider and Escort are kinda interchangeable, with Escorts having definitely more precedence in the game to be available on all factions.
They need to have an idea for a specialization that screams science vessel now. Or choose to fill in gaps.
But of course, another part of the reason for the lopsided release is obviously their sales expectation. And they certainly were able to get more data for the chances of Science ships with the Delta Rising Pack - it contained 2 science vessels, and just afterwards they released a science vessel hero ship.
Science is kinda the redheaded step child of STO - and I mean that in regards to the players. Science characters are the rarest of the 3 classes. Despite having much more offensive useful skills for PVE and PvP, and fun ground skills. Science Vessels are rarely seen, even though there have been plenty of good ones. But they are still just science, and people just want to spacebar through enemy hordes, and no matter how much Cryptic buffs or changes Science, that's not how it can ever work.
Also kinda fun... Star Trek? Pretty much every ship we ever see are Cruisers. The Defiant is the only ship that was ever called Escort, and the Oberth was the only ship ever called science vessel in canon. That the Intrepid is a Science Vessel in STO rather than Cruiser is already a stretch.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
Actually - there is a very strong... possibility - if you know where to look of a T6 Avenger/Mogh/Mogai coming quite soon. And the.... possibility of the Avenger is pretty funky looking.
I just hope the Avenger gets the Weapon Systems Cruiser command. And the old Command Battlecruisers too. A Battlecruiser without that command is just no Battlecruiser.
And i was just about to get the pilot ships. Guess i should wait a bit longer if we get the T6 Defiant and Avenger after all

so, no need to comment my opinion
Simply looks like a combination of already existing mogai and valdure parts, no new clearly design like we've seen on all the other T6 ships.
Also, really curious about it's stats. Hopefully it's boff layout will be closer to the mirror mogai than the standard/fleet one.
Isn't your rule
Not Nova => Ugly?
I know they sell the best and all that, but it's so boring to see.
As a Tactical Captain, I'd happily command a T6 Nova Class Starship. (Unless it was Command, bleech.)
I wouldn't say those are a *Pilot* Sheshar and Assault Cruiser...I'm pretty much sure they said Pilot would be for smaller ships.

They did the same thing with Command...and we don't have a Command Eclipse do we? They just use old ships as examples.
Meh, I'd make her work. I only run Normal STFs, so I'm sure she'd be fine.
Just like her outline, crew size, and loved my Mirror Retrofit while I was rocking her pre-DR on a different Tactical Toon.
Kinda is...but I do like the newer, bigger nacelles!
