A few ways to make interiors worth anything would be to make side-missions that have to be in your ship, like oversee crew duties on a warbird, an escape from a KDF-ships galley, or going through a FED ships Jefferies tubes.
Or you just wander around messing with random consoles and watch either weapons fire/probe launch on the viewscreen, launch a shuttle from the bay, while your BOFFs and other personnel let off some one-liners.
Wow Im surprised this thread hasnt been closed yet. Ship Interiors are FCT's.

Making a custom bridge, let alone a full interior for the Corvette (while cool) would be a significant investment of time/resources. So, we could have skimped on Risa more, and built an interior, or done what was done, and skipped the interior which would have served little purpose anyway, and went with beefing up Risa.
Building custom bridges takes longer than a couple of days. Something like the Suliban/Andorian/Tholian Bridges, were each 5 days of Environment work from me. Then it needs design time to hook up any interactables, doors, etc.
Doing a full interior is significantly longer (i.e. 3 weeks to a month)"
As for this being a star Trek MMO, have you seen the designs that have been released? This is turning more and more into Generic Space Online with star Trek theme.
I generally use my shuttle bridge for quick access to my account bank, I seldom ever visit my bridge.
Maybe to trade a piece of gear with someone via map invite, just since the shuttles are a bit cramped.
That said I have purchased bridge packs, just for variety sake.
But really other than Romulans having more than one bridge, I really think the art guys could spend their time better elsewhere. Even just a few different color pallets for the Romulans bridges would be nice, but no where near the top of the list of things the game needs.
Thanks for the Advanced Light Cruiser, Allied Escort Bundles, Jem-Hadar Light Battlecruiser, and Mek'leth

QFT.
I want to see functional interiors as much as the next guy. I want to do missions that take place in MY ship's interior. I'm not so much worried about customization, but I know some people would rather have that instead.
Whatever my own wishes, I accept the Devs' response on this issue. It's not trivial, it's only financially feasible for Cryptic under very narrow circumstances, and the realities of interior customization and putting stuff to do in those interiors are mutually incompatible goals given the resources available.
Not that they will never, ever approach that issue. But for all practical intents and purposes, this is a no-go and there's a reason why it's an F.C.T. topic. At such time as we're told that the Devs are interested in revisiting the topic of interiors, we'll remove it from the F.C.T. Until then...

Which would you choose?
