So the newest patch has successfully broken the launcher for the umpteenth time. Re-downloading the launcher, disabling on-demand patching, and force verifying files have all failed to get past the Delta Rising splash screen. Come on now. Why is it that every patch breaks the ability to load into the game, and in the same. Exact. Fashion?

If it's always broke how do you manage to play the game to know is it a launcher issue and not summit wrong with the game files it's self.

The normal fix (re-download the launcher) usually fixed the issue. This time, it has not. Nor has disabling on-demand patching and, had you read my post, force verifying the game files.
Yeah ok this is starting to get ridiculous, I mean everyone can appreciate how Cryptic obviously have no idea what they are doing before they deliver their "patches" I mean I am right now attempting to patch the game and for some stupid reason I have been stuck on 91% and the received just keeps climbing... So I ask you WTF ARE CRYPTIC GOING TO DO TO FIX THIS!
Please test your patches before releasing them that way we arent forced to endure problem after stupid problem at your expense, it might even make people more excited about future patches rather than hoping that their game will even work by the end.
I dont know if this is a similar problem, but I have tried three times this morning to get STO to work.
My computer loads up the STO launcher just fine (I'm using the one which came with Steam, rather than the ARC launcher). I'm able to log in, and after a couple of seconds I'm able to launch the game. However, this is when the problem happens. I get the Cryptic loading screen, with the loading bar at the bottom. The bar gets to just under halfway, then stops. A few seconds later, everything crashes to desktop and I get an error report form....which doesn't seem to actually connect and give me an error report number.
After the first time this happened, I had to go into the task manager to close everything down as Steam still thought the game was running. Once I had done that, I was able to get the launcher going, but this time had to wait for a force verify to run before I could launch. Again, game launched fine, then CTD whilst at the Cryptic loading screen.
I tried restarting the computer before the third attempt. Again had to go through a force verify, and again, CTD at the same point.
STO ran fine yesterday evening...all that has happened is that it patched for less then a couple of MB this morning, and now it wont let me play. I dont know what to do. Is anyone having the same issue?
If you crash at the Delta Rising logo constantly, try this. In the launcher go to options, put a check in Safe Mode and take the check out of Full Screen, then launch the game. After it comes up maximize the window.
I have two computers that I run STO on and on my desktop that is the only way the game has been able to launch for the last 6 months or so.
The Launcher is so lagged it takes almost 5 minutes for the background to load in... and forever to get the engage button... but when i attempt to login it keeps timing out...
Im in ventrillo with some fleeties and most of them are in game and having no issue... but a few of us are and apparently alot of people around the world are having the issue as well
Cryptic seriously needs to get on the damn ball already... this is getting old... every major update or change to the game we see more and more issues with connectivity and gameplay...

Force verify did nothing to solve this. Going to test a new launcher.
