My final Delta recruit, Klingon science FED, is level 20, closing the first story Arc. He is a replace of another Delta recruit, a FED tac human. I had no good touch with that character. All my Delta recruits, six, are replacements of characters I already had. I have to say. I love the event. Yet, I like to reroll, start with a new fresh character from time to time.
The Klingons have the best starting missions. With a Klingon you are right in the story and right in the Klingon atmosphere, especially when you roll a Klingon. The|Romulan missions are very close behind. The FED story is breaking me up. There is no pace, to much side kicks that hold up the story.
You start at the academy and have to say goodbye to your fellow students. Then you have to say goodbye to the guy at the shuttle ramp. Well, I forgot the barman for all the good laughs I had with him and that student that had such a good time with me, have forgotten her name. Serious, the pace for the first 10 levels is really slow for a FED character. The slow Miranda doesn't help either. It feels like Snail Trek Online, The KDF and Romulans get at least a more speedy ship.
Overall, a marvelous event. Would I do it again? Most likely not. First, I am quite happy with the characters I have, then, it depends how much it takes to get a character to complete, to have it at such a level, that you can enjoy the whole game in all aspects.
Update.
Funny, as I read through some responses here. FED is the most popular and most played faction, but the leveling path is in my view the worst.
My second Deltalt is now at 50 and into the 2800 FE (Cardy story arc), and I plan on finishing it out today (to include getting a complete Jem ship set). I expect to have the Deltalt requirements done before the next patch.
Level 60 Female Joined Trill with weapons at Mk XIV.
I like Female Joined Trills. lol.
I need to get to him. I can't just leave him out there alone. - Sometimes you've got to makes sacrifices, Lara. You can't save everyone. - I know about sacrifices. - No, you know about loss. Sacrifice is a choice you make. Loss is a choice made for you. - I can't choose to let him die, Roth.
Stuck with the Defera missions on 3 toons. Unwilling to skip the bugged missions, 'casue you'd think these simple missions would have gotten fixed... by week 5.
My only Delta, a fed-allied Romulan is at lvl 60 w/20 specialization pts. I have six reps. done and currently working the Iconian. I played through everything so far including Delta Flight, and am currently doing system patrols in the Beta quadrant. Fifty-three different systems so far and going from top to bottom I've only made it to Narendra so far. The only thing I'm doing every day mission wise are the last two Kobali ground missions for Iconian marks. Did Brotherhood of the Sword once and The Herald Sphere three times, all normal difficulty. Failed the optionals and looked like a fool everytime. Not fun for me. Otherwise it has been rather awesome to somewhat catch up to my "main" character Specialization wise. Forty-one days worth of dilithium ore to refine dulls the pain of failing STFs a bit too, but that's another story.
My DR toon is at level 60 and I completed all of the missions that were necessary for the awards plus maybe 3 others to unlock dailies or a patrol mission that I figured that I might want to do at some point. I already have all of the reps completed except the Iconian one and I am fully kitted on the ground side of things. I am just refining my bag of dil and doing fleet mark runs to kit out my ship.
Okay. I've finally done it. I'm all caught up on PVE my DR.
I done every ep at least once. I've been there, I've done that. All there is now is to work on buyin' that t-shirt.
I can't say that my missions were done expertly. In truth, many were accomplished in a down right ugly manner, with a generous use of the Respawn but they were completed. Oh except for - Mission: Operation Gamma. But that's a story for another day.
After getting him to sixty and grinding all reps I managed a solid PvE build on it that I would give a B- or C+ rating compared to my other toons (around 20k dps space/400 ground so can handle most of the contend just fine).
The toon ended up on 400k unrefined dil when I decided to give it a passive status consisting of daily doffing, and craftig school progression. I’m closing in on all schools being 15 and got 40 spec points on it. Doffing yet another toon also gave me enough marks to approach the tier 5 upgrades in my fleet. Unrefined Dil status is still in the 170k reach so no rush.
All in all I found the DR event a cool thing but cryptic would need to pull something really good to get me do it ever again. After 9 toons I simply don’t “need” more.

Bit of a necro there @zedbrightlander1 lol! But I've seen worse. Like, people dredging up recently threads from STO's 1st year. 2010 for those that don't know
Anyways, my Nausicaan has completed the entire storyline for Delta Recruit purposes. I can't get myself to suffer through the Fed and Rom stuff. AGAIN, since I've done all that before the Delta Recruit event.
My Fed DR is lvl 55, recently completed the Breen arc, and is now on New Romulus trying to rank up Romulan rep so he can unlock the missions that lead into Sphere of Influence.
My other 3 DR's are all still low level and not worth talking about yet. It'll be awhile before I'm ready to run through all those missions again. I might play enough to unlock the early KDF and Romulan rewards.
My Klingon is now my main. Mainly because I learnt how to build and made her correctly from the start. Might get back to my Romulan and Andorian someday.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Just finished the Breen series (and thus, all the DR material) on my third and last Delta Recruit. One Rom, one KDF, one FED. Now all the rewards are unlocked for my other characters! Yay! Going to start Sphere on Influence on my KDF DR now.
Okay. I've finally done it. I'm all caught up on PVE my DR.

If you catch me when I'm on I could show you. It's annoying but doable.
Renunee has become my main, a lvl 60 engineer currently wrecking the Vaadwuar in her eighty year old Ambassador class cruiser. She's still gearing up as well, and someday soon she'll finally catch up to the main storyline.
Kynda's on hold until I see what the T6 BoP is like, mostly though as I don't have the time or energy for more than one alt.
This is also why Skoryy is still on Virinat, waiting for the festival to begin.
My three main Delta recruits have all delta objectives completed for sime time, are at or near lvl 60 and have all but one (Iconian) rep completed. However their builds suck. Neither uses a full set of active Doff slots, some don't even have all Boffs seated on their ships (KDF-ROM is cruising without any Lt. Tac in a Chel Grett). But they're capable enough for anything from single player to RAs.
Then there's the last fourth FED-ROM Delta recruit that's completed 6/10 story arcs. Starting Devidian one hopefully later today.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
My two are sitting at 60 largely unplayed but finished with the delta recruit stuff and have all the reps but Iconian finished. I don't think either even started the Delta or Iconian story arcs. Eventually I'll get around to working on them again. Maybe.
I'd like them to be functional characters in a good state, but STO demands too much work for existing characters to keep up.
Mine are basically in the deep freeze. I like the boosts I got from them, but I just don't have any need, let alone passion, for them beyond future farming.
Don't use them and never will. I used them for the time the boosts were on and I simply transferred the stuff to my main toon.
Right now they are being used to Mine dilithium using VIP claims which will in turn be given to my main toon. They will lie unused until the next dilith event.
The game is simply to much of a grind to have more than 1-2 toons. Only time to have more than that is if you are either a bum, without a job and nothing better to do, or have no life outside the bedroom. No girlfriend, friends etc...
Delta toons was just a way to inflate the number of toons to make the game look more popular than it really is. Nobody actually uses them anymore....
Shame they invested so much time into something so useless when there are countless and laginess all over the place.
I run multiple toons. But I don't try to log into each and every one of them every day. I focus on progressing one or two at a time and might do little things like DOFF, R&D, or fleet projects on one or two more. But I like the variety and it keeps me from getting bored with a single character.
