T4/5 Connie, its not "endgame" right?

chandlerasharichandlerashari Member Posts: 348 Arc User
Can you feasibly argue to cbs that a T4/5 connie is not an endgame ship?

I mean if that is all what cbs is concerned about...

Define "endgame"? There are people that can use the T2 Constitution to do elite stfs right now.

Technically speaking, based on this, one could argue that Cryptic is in violation of their contract with CBS. :P

If I were Cryptic and I were considering something that was treading so closely to something that CBS had already said "NO" to, I'd run it by them again first.

If I were CBS and had the same concerns that led to the initial "No T5 Connie", and Cryptic came to me with such a proposal, I'd say "HELL NO."

    So, no...

We have already discussed this before. You are wasting my time and your time. The answer is still "no"... and now you are starting to TRIBBLE me off. Perhaps we will not renew your license the next time around.

We're more likely to have a JJ Connie than we are to ever have the T1 Connie in any other tier.

And the chance of that happening is about as likely as us getting that and a T6 Vengeance dreadnought.

Though I do admit the JJ S31 uniforms are pretty sweet. I wouldn't mind having those in-game. Or the JJ Klingon attire; which kind of are half Vaadwaur in style (JJ Klingons have more menacing helmets though).

there is no chance of jjcrapverse stuff on sto and i am so thankful of that, contracts and deals would need to be drawn up with 3 parties, paramount, cbs and cryptic, but jj abrams wouldnt want a deal where he couldnt take royalties from considering he was the man who masterminded that.. thing.

someone would likely remind me of the RMC, but the RMC was a prime universe device, so that has exception.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

This argument was brought up when T6 was released.
"Its not endgame so why not?" doesn't work because its already been discussed to death. This thread will be closed as it is covered by the F.C.T. involving Connies.

And the likelyhood of any AR content making into STO is about the same as our chances of a late game Connie.

As much as I would love to have those uniforms and the phaser pistol... it ain't happening because Cryptic can only work with things up to Nemesis.

I would say that is even a lower chance of a T4/T5/T6 Connie due to a highly likely cross licensing nightmare involving both Paramount and CBS.

    Can't get lower then zero...

I am sure if Cryptic is willing to pay a few million $$$ to CBS might allow a T4/T5/T6 Connie.

The JJ Connie will likely require several million $$$ be paid to CBS and Paramount combined to get the JJ Connie into the game.

Real Connie captains don't need endgame T5/6 stats. They do it in T1!

Seriously. I am using the Delta Recruit event to play through in my T1 Constitution class.
So far, I am up to commander and equipped with mostly crafted purple gear I am more than holding my own and it is fun. :)

Maybe it needs to be mandatory that starting this debate/convo gets a warning, then a 2nd warning, then a temporary forum ban for a day, then a ban for a week, then a ban for a month, then 3 months, then 6, then a year.

Because it's not going to happen. And don't think for one minute that Cryptic wouldn't release one if they could; if only to capitalize on nostalgia the same way they did off the Galaxy fans. They would. But they cannot.

To argue otherwise is pointless; you'd have more success arguing over which one will happen first:
    - Will KDF get parity with Feds in content?
    - Or will PvP will be given even a token balance pass with PvP-specific limitations to otherwise untouched PvE skills and abilities (like other MMOs with a PvPvE element)?
    - Or will we sooner see a Borg Lockbox before either?

Because nobody in the history of ever has asked this exact question and another thousand variations of same.

    The FCT covers this. No.

Maybe the campaign should be for a Tier 4 Constitution, because that's definitely not endgame. :P

Right, that's it I am leaving this planet. I'm so damn tired of these End game Constitution threads asking for the same damned thing.

There will be no Bloody Tier 3, Tier 4, Tier 5 or Tier 6 Constitution...

    Ever...

Stop please, I think I am going to physically be sick.

Non-bloody Tier 5 Constitution then? I mean, we're not going to make some unreasonable demand that the Tier 5 Constitution be bloody! Where did you even get the idea that we wanted it covered in blood? I don't think a single player once asked for our Constitution to be bathed in the still hot blood of our enemies, we're the Federation after all. Clean, off white, TOS materials on a smalll ship whose lack of details makes it look increasingly more like a model as the years go by, that's all we want. Well that and blue phaser banks.

You can disregard this post, I'm just being silly.

Id rather have a T5 Exeter/vesper/Exclabiour. The TOS constitution isent available as a skin on the T2 constitution and so the TMP constitution shouldn't b available on a higher Tier. Anyway the Exeter is a way cooler ship design that looks post TNG
