    Oh, I'd forget the mandatory:

Trendy, why aren't all dev blog pics hi-res?
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

What's the reasoning behind not giving fleet t6s the 5th mastery? The 10 extra bucks? Yeah, it's a business but it's still pretty lame.

Not bad, all things considered. KDF gets their new ship, Galaxy fans get their desired ship, and Romulans get the best ship (of the 3; since I won't need anything more than Overwhelm Emitters 1 or Concentrate Firepower 1 on the Ensign level as far as Command goes).

I still feel the Guardian comes out ahead though. Optional access to OsS and IT on top of GW1 gives it greater damage potential, and its console lets it shield tank and further boost its own weapon and exotic damage while active. As well, not reliant on a 3-pc set to help it catch up, thus allowing more space for other consoles.

Still it's nice they continued with what they started somewhat with the Odyssey consoles and with the Command Cruisers; a half-useful 2-pc set bonus.

For now though, I won't be buying the bundle. Not really that in a rush given the so-so mastery trait and the fact that the console doesn't seem to be truly universal.

Also, while it's nice that it will be available at T4 Fleet Shipyard without the Mastery Trait, can we get at least the Intel ships at T5 WITH the mastery trait? Or some Specialist Holding that lets us have Intel ships with the Mastery Trait? I don't mind if the Guardian and Pathfinder don't get the Mastery Trait if made available at T4 or T5 Fleet Starbase (I'd rather those two have the Mastery Trait available at a higher Fleet requirement cost, but Intel will suffice).

Still, makes me look forward to a T6 Flagship Refit, in addition to Pilot ships. The Andromeda is now on par with the T5 Odyssey, but a T6 Odyssey will be even stronger. The Bort will need the most overhaul stats-wise though.

Well its the same way the consoles also only come with C-store ships i guess.

You can't expect us to like these ships with a lt cmd tac boff seat when you've already raised the stakes every where else, this game is about doing dmg, not tickling your enemy with reverse shield polarity in iconic ships people will soon no longer feel different than their already existing ships.

Star Trek Online is about destroying things, and unless the Galaxy saucer section can slice through an enemy ship like a pizza knife, I dont think i'll buy it.

This quote comes to mind, ''Jim, I'm beginning to think I can cure a rainy day'' Bones.
Well unfortunately STO no longer cures my rainy days.

Our capacity for this influx of garbage 'upgrades' is failing. Our flux capacitors are no longer 'fluxing'...structural integrity compromised, activate t6 RSP, *major hull dmg by shield penetrating weapons*, abandon ship, I repeat abandon ship.

I am disappointed with these stats. The Galaxy is basically the Guardian with a slower turn rate. all of these ships are inferior to the command battlecruisers due to console slots, hull and turn rate for most part.
It comes down to do you want to fly iconic ship enough to pay. If you have the Guardian or command cruisers then its not worth it, if you don't then this might be ideal pack.

As pointed out above, the Guardian does not have saucer sep. In its battle configuration the Andromeda will probably turn just fine, and you'll have the 2pc set to improve it even without separation (if you already have the G-R).

I wouldn't buy just the Andromeda. I'd get the Galaxy refit, too, to gain saucer separation. And knowing that the separated saucer can use the Antimatter spread, I'd be tempted to get that ship too. (Venture, right?)

I have the Guardian from the DR pack, but didn't buy any of the Command cruisers. Just as well. If I'm going to blow money this time around, it will be on the Andromeda. Still on the fence about the D'k. And if I get 2/3, I might as well go for the whole bundle.

The Andromeda Class is ugly, very very ugly.

The new Galaxy should ALSO come with Saucer Separation. Why should I have to buy TWO ships for that ability? You just lost a sale on that choice.

    Andromeda Class Exploration Cruiser:
Bridge Officer Stations: 1 Lieutenant Commander Tactical, 1 Lieutenant Commander Engineering/Command, 1 Commander Engineering, 1 Lieutenant Science, 1 Ensign Universal
Console Modifications: 3 Tactical, 4 Engineering, 3 Science
    Wow!
5 years of waiting for a good Galaxy Class have finally come to an end!

    THANK YOU DEVS !!!

    /Bow

    Consoles in this set:

Console – Universal – Antimatter Spread
Console – Universal – Saucer Separation
Console – Universal – Molecular Cohesion Nullifier

    Set Bonuses:

Enhanced Structural Systems (2pc) - Passive
    +All Damage Resistance
    +Turn Rate
    +Engine Power
    Reinforced Shielding (3pc) – Passive
    +Maximum Shield Capacity
    +Shield Regeneration
    Reduces energy damage to shields
I would have preferred if there where some Torpedo Spread or Energy Weapon Overload power included, instead of more "tankyness".
(something like the Romulan Singularity Harness "Plasma Hyperflux" power)

But that's only a minor note. The most important thing is that the Galaxy will finally be a ship that's fun to fly!

We look forward to getting these awesome new ships into your hands!
    See you in game.
    Indeed!!! :)

Love the looks on these ships.

That said: please, for the love of all that is good and merciful in this world, change that sentence to +1 Tac. You know it makes sense.

Ditching the awful rapid repairs on the andromeda for enhanced weapon banks (or anything that isnt rapid repairs) would be good too.

And while youre at it, give the Neghvar a battle cloak. It doesnt get a set bonus after all.

As it stands, I'm gonna pick use the D'dex and Neg but not the Gal. The gal is basically a noticeably weaker, more expensive presidio.

Will the fleet version have the same boff layouts as the non fleets?

I am most disappointed in those ship stats. Why only 10 consoles? The Command Battlecruisers have 11. The free/event Kobali Samsar has 11. The Lockbox Vaadwaur ships and T6 Bug each have 11. I don't get why these (and the Delta Rising Pack Intel ships, come to think of it) only have 10.

By the sound of it the Explosive Polarity Shift master trait, Molecular Cohesion Nullifier console, and even the now-3pc console-set feature aren't that impressive/useful for my playstyle.

Further, I see you've kept it so these ship to handle like flying bricks. Especially the D'deridex. 5 Turn Rate? Fugettaboutit. What garbage. With such a low base turn rate, all the RCS and bonuses you add barely help.

I was really hoping you guys would fix that with this D'd re-issue. It was the ship I was mostly likely to use/buy (And if I bought one, I would have bought the bundle).

Well, I've got one Romulan character who's going to stick with his existing Fleet D'deridex Warbird Battle Cruiser Retrofit [T5-U]. It's a brick I've already spent money on... I don't see any features in this "new ship" that's worth paying for (especially since I'd be expected to buy into another fleet edition).

    TL;DR - No thanks. :(

P.S. I went back looking at the stats of my T5 D'd and it's got a base Turn of 5.5. Why is the T6 version less than that? (Blog)

I'll admit that I might be slightly less inclined to pick up the new galaxy if I didn't already have the other variants to slot their consoles on it straight away. On the other hand, I already have them for the same reason I want this new one, it's the enterprise and I am weak.

true, but then traits are a new mechanic, those older ships didnt have them, so it isn't really a fare comparison? anyway, wasnt the point of your moan, that the fleet version didnt come with the trait? thats the comment i was replying too. as far as the levelling goes, it doesnt really bother me either way, i'll be just as happy levelling the cstore version to unlock the trait, as i would just having to own the cstore version, and being able to level the fleet ship to unlock it. either way im in a new ship, having fun, going pewpew.. pew.. pew.. pewpewpew..

I'm curious about the turn rate bonus for the 2 pc sets. Should I assume that they make the Fed and Rom ships more equal to the turn rate on the Negh'Tev? Are they on par with the similar set bonuses for the Galaxy X set? I remember reading it made a noticeable difference.

I know they're not going to turn well. I just wanna make sure they turn. :D

The 2-piece console set from the T4 and T5 Galaxy Classes brings the base turn rate to 8 - so the same as the Excelsior and Command Cruisers. It's personally my optimal turn rate for a cruiser, just where I want it. With the saucer separated the ship handles like a light battlecruiser.

...Is it just me, or does the look of the KDF ship actually... Impress me?

I didn't really like the look of any of the intel style ships, and the KDF command cruisers weren't that great for me, and I usually have liked the Romulan versions overall, but the KDF has always missed something for me. This time though... This just says to me, I AM KLINGON!

    Wow.

...Although, on a less positive note, I really dislike that Venture-like sweeping-down-from-the-saucer-hull shape on the Andromeda. That was one style I have never liked. That is a MINOR issue for me though, since I can change out the hull on this one anyway. So no complaints. Also, is this going to affect the Galaxy Dreadnought's skin options at all?

The Only other thing I have to say, is that I wish Cryptic would add the original skin options for the Galaxy to this; yes, I think some were weird, but I liked making my own unique version with different parts. This is also why I have a harder time with KDF ships; not enough skin options.

Oh, and the Romulan ship looks awesome.

    There, I'm done. Happy Day!

    i think i read somewhere...

T6 with 11 consoles is already a 'fleet equivalent' ship and wont have a fleet store version.

T6 with 10 consoles, will potentially have a fleet version, which will include the standard stat upgrades and the extra console.

    i think...

Just like they let you buy the same mobile phone over and over and over again with some minor adjustments but for a higher price. How comes anybody living today can still be surprised by this? Even more so considering they've already done the very same thing with the Intrepid class.

So here buy a ship and to make it a flyable you have to use these two console slots for these and not something else useful, hardly good.

Because these (and probably the delta rising lot) have fleet variants which make them 11, just the same as Tier 5 event ships had the equivalent consoles (generally) as the fleet ships

So as I mentioned in the previous thread, my new Delta Recruit will be a Galaxy Captain.

First question, this T6 variant comes with the 3 consoles? Or do I need to by the Galaxy R and then the T6 in order to get the bonus?

Second, and my main question. This compared to the Galaxy X.. Is there any info on whether or not the Galaxy X will be upgraded as well to reflect these new stats? I know its a separate ship entirely, but I really really wanted to give that ship a go..

    Please advise.

No one gets the perfect ship. Simply the state of the game.

In fact, Galaxy fans practically get some high-class treatment. I'm not looking to argue with you, but to lay out two nice facts:

    - Until today, no non-Specialized T6 ship that wasn't a Promotional ship ever got a Hybrid Lt.Cmdr. seat. Samsar, Sheshar, and JHSS. 1 was a grind ship, the other 2 were costly Promotional ships. All others were limited to Lt Hybrid seats. It was expected that we wouldn't see such a thing on a normal purchase ship until much later.

    - Until today, there wasn't a ship with a console that has the passive ability to permanently increase maximum power levels while equipped. Sure, some could with certain Warp/Singularity Cores, or temporarily reach it with OsS or other abilities, but the former is costly and the latter is exclusive to certain ships.

The T6 Galaxy has enough teeth to close the gap between it and the Odyssey and Guardian (assuming full use of ship-specific consoles). Sure it might not match them, and definitely will not match a T6 Odyssey, but that's expected and fair. It's a solid alternative ship.

And in comparison to the KDF, at least Galaxy fans got an actual console set.

Romulans get a solid ship; though it's unlikely it will see use of any Command skills beyond the Ensign level, if at all.

This was pointed out earlier in the thread; the Kobali Samsar was a free ship, and free ships almost always, if not always, have fleet stats. This is also Certainly true for the Lockbox ships; Always Fleet Stats. As for the command battlecruisers, I don't think they intend to make fleet versions of those, so they get fleet stats too. (I'm basing that on the Odyssey, Scimitar, and Bortesque three-packs; they never got fleet versions either, so I think that's a rule when it comes to ships in three-packs that are part of a set)

As for the intel ships, they are more like long-range scouts than warships (Gathering intel IS usually considered a 'quieter task') So that isn't surprising to me.

Q: Will there be fleet versions of these ships?

A: Yes! Each of these ships gain +1 Engineering console slot and +10% Maximum hull hit points and +10% Maximum shield capacity. They will be made available upon release of these three new ships. They are unlocked upon reaching tier 4 in your starbase’s shipyard.

It should be noted that Fleet Tier 6 ships do not come with a 5th level of Starship Mastery and thus do not have a Starship Trait.

We get fleet Tier 6 already of these, but not of intel ships?

    i stumbled there too.

already with fleet version? how much will those cost? 4 modules then? or 6? will i get the new skin too? that would be incredible, cause i got enough traits and the console isnt that strong musthave.

    Yeah, yeah I do.

Over the last 3 years we've had campaigns, in-game gatherings, signature campaigns......we've had 15k replies on the topic of the underwhelming T5 Galaxy Class, on canon comparisons, on facts from the tech manual, on sharing ideas, of heated arguments......we've been banned, trolled, suffered thread closures, mockery, rage-quitting, dev-bashing......

All of that was the result of them not doing it right. That's what we called 'not doing it right' and that was our response for them not doing it right. That's in the past now.
Me having to buy the T6 variant is no different from everyone else that dumped their T5 ships to get a random T6 one.

This T6 Galaxy on the other hand is a bit more than many of us had expected. This T6 Galaxy has obviously taken some of our ideas from the Galaxy threadnought. This T6 Galaxy is the closest representation we have to what the ship represented in TNG. This T6 Galaxy is a great ship, rock soild and not OP. They also fixed the in-game model, so it finally looks like the legendary Enterprise-D.
Yeah, this is a good example of them doing something right.
