This is literally the best thing to ever happen to the game.

As Zephram Cochrane so famously said, "that'll do, pig."

This is the turning point we all hoped for, it's really just so.good.

    I can't wait for the KDF to be reverted back to a PVP faction with no content! That was so much better than what we have today.

    We even have new old new graphics that are FULLY optimized to support 3D models! In real time!

    Well the OP's (failed) attempt at an Aprils fools joke is not entirely without good ideas...

    Getting rid of that ugly "interact" animation, and the annoying aura around a selected player would be nice... We had that a few weeks after launch.
    Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

    Well it is true Redshirt server isn't available. But a retro temporal gateway back to launch? [grabs popcorn] and starts shining up the old TR-116-A.

    I am still playing botf and the 3d mode is what I like least. Will it be possible to play sto without that new 3d models?

    Yep. Were I not a Lifer, I would pay the $15 subscription fee to play this version of STO again.

    I to want an empty game with less than half the mission we have now, and some very basic one.
    No leveling for KDF besides pvp, and no love whatsoever.
    A terrible skill tree.
    No foundry.
    No STF, and barely no queued content.

    Oh man, that was such a good time to play STO. Stop using those goggles, they are bad for you.

    I already did all the content in STO. Multiple times. NPCs are pushovers and there's no challenge.

    Don't play Foundry missions. Played STFs thousands of time and sick of them. Queued content is mostly boring.

    When I transferred my Romulan tac captain over he was changed to a Federation Human, what's up with that? On the bright side Tovan Khev disappeared completely . . . .

    To be honest, I would love it if they did this, and then slowly start adding the things in that actually improved gameplay, and left the things out that didn't.

    And along the way, they can change the way some of the things were done, and get away from selling power creep, and DPS races.

    That would be an awesome idea. And will give players that came after a lot of changes a chance to see how it first was.

    Think about it as the ones in charge getting a chance to go back in time, and redo all the mistakes that were made, and improve upon the good decisions.


    Wait, why don't they actually reset Redshirt back to then, and let players start over with new characters, and play like it was back then? They could leave Holodeck like it is, but run Redshirt as a blast from the past type server.
