Difficulties logging into the game

So I'm having some trouble logging into the game.

The launcher is extremely slow. Sometimes it does not even get past trying to update it. If I get past it, it shows a little line at the bottom:

"The website is experiencing technical difficulties. Normal game play is not affected."

Well I can tell you, normal gameplay is affected. I made it into the game once. But then it threw me out again with a "Connection to gameserver timed out." And now I'm back where I started. Stuck at trying to update the launcher, and stuck on attempting to connect to the account server.

I checked my internet connection. Everything is fine since I can login to SWTOR and other stuff.

Anyone else having trouble?

I have had similar issues but it was completely on my side as it only happens when I had torrents running in the backround and were hogging all my bandwidth.

At first I thought too that my bandwidth was being clogged up.

A traceroute to www.startrekonline.com shows that after bos01.atlas.cogentco.com further hops are timing out. Looks like that provider is having trouble.

Having the same problem. Since I didn't see any posting about it (up til now) I thought it was on my end. Game kicked me out after a mission with a connection lost to game server. Now I can't get into the launcher anymore, most of the time it'll tell me it can't connect to patch server.

The problem is not resolved for me, unfortunately. I have been getting the same message and slow load times for the past three days, now, and am quite frustrated to say the least. I have only been playing the game for about a month without issue until now. I recently got to level 50 and joined a fleet.

I have seen nothing in the forums detailing any necessary steps to resolve it. Hoping the issue, "resolves," on its own is not very encouraging.

Please HELP!!!

about 30 mins ago, I was in the game playing, logged out and came back and now I cannot get into the game. now it says "you may not log in from this ip address." didn't have an issue 30 mins ago.

Same With Me I Played This Morning Now It Says I Cant Log In With This Ip

Go check the 'You may not log in from this IP address.' thread. It explains what's going on.

I keep on getting this error upon trying to log in to the launcher. My internet was disconnected a few hours ago for the span of around two minutes, and the STO launcher hasn't let me in since. No other games are affected. Does anyone know how to fix this?
