Total TRIBBLE. CBS/Paramount control the IP and they can license as many copies as they like. There have been other ST video games that have come out in the last 5 years as well as books, films, card games etc. Cryptic pay to use the licence, they have a contract but that is all.
maybe others are not allowed to make a mmo.Still this game is a insult to Star Trek.
main problem is last JHAS promo pack. Ppl are fooled on purpose. Who would be an idiot to pay useless obsolete ship?
Because it's not a "useless obsolete ship". It's still a very formidable dogfighter, especially when paired with traits from T6 ships; only the JHSS itself is a better ship in that role.
The right way to view these promos - and lockboxes - is that you want Lobi or materials / DOFFs for something, and anything else is a bonus. I'm sure that is how the Cryptic devs would want players to take things. If players convince themselves they HAVE TO HAVE a prestige ship... well that's just a self-inflicted griefing, especially given how good the C-store and freebie T6 ships are.
The promo said the JHAS will be upgradeable to T6 capabilities, which is T5-U. It didn't say it would be T6 outright.
Honestly, everyone raging about their overpriced pixels being devalued got what they deserved. You got scammed the first time you bought a overpriced piece of game art, you'll get scammed again because that is how it works. Even if you rage enough to walk away (and you haven't yet so you won't) there is a endless hoard of idiots with too much money who need their status symbol to show how awesome they are.
The gambling will pull sucker after sucker in because odds are never disclosed, if they took the mystery out of it (and they never will) those profits would dry up fast. I'm all for making a profit, but doing so by deceiving customers is just bad business

yea you are right http://1drv.ms/1H1c8VG T5U is not T6...you go pvp t5u vs t6 if you think its the same. Also it didnt said t5u capabilities ...its said T6 .
you know, it's rather amusing... everyone crying about how they are getting screwed by the t6 bug... this is the same thing as the people who were crying about the t-5 Connie...
if you don't like something vote with your wallet kids
Well I'm now glad that I did a straight swap with someone. A JHAS for a Temp Destroyer. This was when the panic was on over the T6 coming in. I can pick up a temp destroyer '10 a penny' so I might just swap my way to the top again... or not.
It all comes down to personal choice folks it's a game... play it and enjoy or don't play.

Wait until the T6 Temporal Destroyer Promo in 2 months :P
Patch Notes : Resolved an Issue, where people would accidently experience Fun.
It is the way of this game... and MMOs in general. If you want it, pay for it. If you don't want it, don't. Nothing will be so unique as to not be recycled at some point... except for the Galaxy Class, of course.
And, no T6 Connies... ever. The entitlement here is high. You make Star Wars fans look cool.
1. Glassdoor typically has reviews from only a small percentage of employees at the company. At the 406 companies in the sample, there were 8,123 Glassdoor reviews, an average of 1.6% of the employees. As a comparison, we surveyed 315,212 employees at these companies, an average of 61.5% of the employees.
2. Glassdoor reviews are posted by a disproportionate number of grumpy employees. We conservatively estimate that a companys negative employees are 5 to 8 times more likely to post a review on Glassdoor than their positive employees.
These two factors can make the overall Glassdoor scores inaccurate. Good examples of this are Quicken Loans and The Container Store, which we recently named as #1 and #2 on our National Top Workplaces list.
Quicken Loans has a score of 3.2 stars on Glassdoor, and 46% of employees do not recommend this company to a friend (based on 140 reviews).
However, we found in our survey, based on 935 survey responses from employees at Quicken Loans, that only 2% of employees would not recommend the company (with a further 5% neutral). On average, employees rated working at Quicken loans a 90.3 on a scale of 0-99.
The Container Store has a similar score of 3.1 stars on Glassdoor and 46% of employees do not recommend this company to a friend (based on 218 reviews):
We found, based on 1,516 survey responses from employees at The Container Store, that only 3% of employees would not recommend the company (with a further 4% neutral). On average, employees rated working at The Container Store a 90.1 on a scale of 0-99.
For all the dumping people do on Steam charts, Steam actually monitors to make sure those who are counted are playing. I do not have reason to think that Steam charts are showing fake players. As for Glassdoor, while I have suspected some significant corporate culture problems at Cryptic, partly due to a lot of pressure from PWE, I admit some of those reviews look fishy to me too and I trust that a lot less.
For me, the best evidence will be to see what happens over time, especially once we have fewer incidents of Mr. Ricossa having to defuse the copious UXO left behind by his predecessors and more of what happens with things he has seen through from start to finish. Sadly I do think there is more of it lurking around, some of which we know about and some of which we do not yet. :-/

answer : their devs http://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Cryptic-Studios-Reviews-E267596.htm
Even when your workers hate you some would say its really not cool
Ignoring the fact that many of the "reviews" are blatantly not by employees, Glassdoor is still not a good source:
I can add a review to Glassdoor right now claiming to be an employee of NASA, Disney, Dairy Queen or whoever I want.
Free Tibet!
yea steam chart is very unrealiable....go get the stats from Geko.
The Almighty Gecko has "better numbers"...Best Expansion EVER and players LOVE IT

The original blog? Months ago. The change? Yesterday.
But the change still sits in the dev tracker. It's currently even more visible than the original blog.
But of course, no more or less fleeting than the blog itself, and probably as meaningless as the screenshot.
Being a scammer is meaningless?
lol, I got the new ship opening my 2nd box....now I have both....im over it
Hope that was worth it
Which of the t6 escorts are better?
IMHO Vaadwaur Manasa > Hazari Destroyer > JHSF > JHAS
Reason: Boff Seating and Weapon Layout
Yes, I thought so. thank you.
