    it uses torp skills, torp skills like TS3. the kinetic beam doesn't even use beam skills, this is more a torp then that is a beam.

    the drain was never noticeable, being instantly killed was. nerfed, i imagine HY bio is the most deadly torp again.

    availability? irrelevant, 21 days to get 14 tokens. no one that wants it has a chance of not getting it.

    this is the first torp you can use with an otherwise energy build that doesn't make your build a rainbow, or relays on a deeply bugged item.

    this deals energy damage, it does not deal with an over 90% shield resistance. it doesn't need to deal 150k damage to barely kill a damaged target with a 40k hitpoint pool, like a HY bio.



    this torp is another one of those '100k hits' to pile on, and at the same time synergizes perfectly with an all energy build. god, the meek have inherited pvp if this seriously has to be explained.

    Let's start with neutronic pre TS2, TS3 and EAP fix;

    What it did in practice was that neut TS3 would insta drop your shield facing and pile up its rad. AoE dmg on top of initial hit which would debuff target for -50 all dmg resist(+ stacks of EAP if more hits landed in same time from other users with EAP in 0.5sec window). .

    Now, it doesn't drop shield facing like before, EAP is corrected to -5 and modifier on TS2 and TS3 is normalized.
    Comparing this AP torpedo to neutronic before is deeply flawed.
    This is basically high DMG energy weapon and not a torpedo. And i wouldn't jump to any rush conclusions like you until i see mods for spread on it.

    About those stupid questions then lol- seeing how it starts on MK XIII blue it is clear to see that this is pure dilithium sink bait- like with all high damage torpedos upgrade cost to get it to MK XIV EPIC range from 200k dil to 1mil dil and few tens of millions of EC.
    intention is clear.

    and all else needs no comment at all lol.

    antiproton torp will be useless vs new powercreep:

    new p2w bug ship incoming. 5 front weaps with intel commander, command lt. commander, 28 base turn rate, impulse mod 0.3. next promo pack get your credit cards ready or you cant compete in pvp. u will be noob like geko would say. thats totally the ship dps freaks in pve need. dps scimitards will instantly switch to non faw bug ship pwn.

    Not saying it wont be strong to op...but I don't see them going with boff seating like that :P

    But I could always be wrong with how stupid they seem to heading with this torpedo...

    All T6 should have comm and intel stations because only one primary spec can be active. I dont see anything wrong.

    Personally I don't give more than 3 months to this torpedo until it will be "adjusted" into oblivion.

    About the torpedo :
    The blog says "average damage" and "average recharge" .I still wonder what that means exactly. I wonder what damage it will make at MKXIV very rare.
    I wonder what means for this torpedo "shields absorb most of the impact" because obviously it will be different than for all other existing torpedo.
    I could speculate but i prefer to see it in action and after that if it will be OP I will then post my impressions.

    @Pattie: Snare doesn't stack and is currently bugged so it slows down YOUR SHIP too.

    AP Torpedo...AP...not Kinetic...no innate 75% Kinetic Shield Hardness...

    ...course, there's no telling what gearing/skills were in place for that image to get a handle on what the actual base is.

    It's also kind of trippy, because not only is it AP damage - but according to the image it's got the AP +20 CrtD. So that's actually a Rare with [CrtD]x2[CrtH]...wonder what it picks up at VR and UR.

    From what I've been hearing, it's as much a torpedo as the Kinetic cutting beam is a "beam". It shares a firing cycle... and... well...
