Running a black FemShep through Mass Effect - finished 2 earlier (it's only complete after I rescue David from his brother in the "Overlord" DLC), and I'll start Jennifer Shepard in 3 either later or sometime tomorrow. Since it's what I play when I'm giving the MMOs a brief rest, I only play so much at a time...
I love STO. But need another game to distract me.
Any recommendations on good f2p games ?
I've heard war thunder was good..
Right now I've got Diablo3, Tranformers War for Cybertron and SWTOR installed.
But none of the above are cutting it.
Havent played SWTOR in over 2 years, since starting STO. Diablo3 sucks, and TF war for Cybertron is a bit bland.
Im considering replaying Red Dead Redemption I'm so bored.
No new console so only have xbox360.
But have been considering getting a ps4..if there's any Must play games someone can suggest.
Was looking at Destiny, and Last of Us...but..I dunno. Having a hard time choosing a new game.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

This discussion leaves me to wonder a bit about how different folks might view things, and how that comes across in various games. Along the lines of, Tom plays a bunch of different games. Jerry only plays the one game. So if the one game they both play "requires" they login to do something, Jerry might not think twice about it because he's doing that anyway. Tom on the other hand, likely may have been doing other things. Tom could therefore potentially have a very different look on things than Jerry who just takes those things for granted cause he's basically doing that anyway...

Very likely.
Most of my friends who played everquest and vanilla wow think its funny when people here complain about grinds. Given how they're used to the model where 10 to 20 people play for four hours non-stop once a week so that two or three people might get one item. The other 7 to 13 people are waiting in line, their turn will come around in a few months as long as they don't miss any raids. Compared to that a few minutes a day for a couple weeks is nothing.
Then friends who only know mass effect, halo, and other console games, for whom sto is their first and only mmo throw fits over the "horrible grindiness" and the need to replay a single mission makes them unhappy.
One of the most influential games to me was diablo ii. I only played hardcore, so one tiny mistake and the character and all items and gear were deleted from the server. Most people didn't consider the game to be fun until their builds were complete. But those of us in hardcore knew, you played to have fun right now, because you were never going to get complete. So the whole mindset of "the game begins at endgame" means nothing to me. Grind for gear? Why bother, just have fun now with whatever you have. That's just how I roll, because its how I learned to play. Its also how pen and paper games work and I've been playing DND since before I was able to read (best babysitter in the world).
Saints Row 4, pure mindless fun.
Team Fortress 2 when I feel the need for a FPS.
Frankly have 160 games on Steam. Have to work my way through playing them all. I recently worked my way through getting 100% achievements in Half Life 2, HL2 EP1 and EP2.

Funny you should mention that as I often draw parallels between the D2 crafting system and STO's. STO's is better in must ways than D2's. The biggest things? materials are easier to get in STO, and you actually have in-game info about how to craft stuff. D2 crafting had no ingame documentation whatsoever.
And for those who think STO mats are actually hard to get..... Kneel before Zod! son of .... oh wait wrong movie. :P
outside of sto im playing swtor usually around daily reset time, watching some a-team episodes(back in the day that female reporter in ep 1-2 season 1, smoking hot) and playing vega conflict (no coin use, epic week long upgrade times or longer and raiding other player bases is a regular thing). thats for now at least.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
I fire up Flight Simulator X now and again on my PC, apart from that it is mainly Gran Turismo 6 and Crysis 2 on my PS.
I was playing Chapions Online now and again but upgraded my system from 32 to 64 bit Windows 7 so never reloaded it, and have had my eye on Kerbal Soace Program and the recently talked about Dreadnaught has also caught my attention so may get around to playing them one day.
STO is the only game from this decade that I play. Apart from that, I still use my Playstation 2. In fact, I just finished another playthrough of GTA: Vice City.
Brilliant - highly recommended for any space enthusiast.
Finally coming up on full release (Ver. 1.0), after a very long, and very successful, early access period (this game is usually mentioned as the "exemplar" in articles discussing how to make "good use" of early access)

But mostly pen and paper DND, and whenever I can bully my friends into it, twilight imperium. On Sundays I do a bit of champions online.

Board games take up my socializing - BloodBowl, Titan, Settlers of Catan etc. Beers and boardgames are my thing

Busily trading to build up credits but have already managed to slip into a Cobra Mk3 recently
Using "Voice Attack" with it for voice control which makes it totally absorbing for me.
