why not remove adv and elite completely? they are already undoable, and they become even harder?!
do you really want this game to DIE because noone can play anything anymore?
do you want everybody go normal only, so the rewards are lower? just remove adv and elite then?! or just remove dili rewards from the game at all, why not.
im going back to wow now. this is to stupid.

But... what's that... oh look, Bug Hunt gets its rewards INCREASED.
What's that about?

They must really hate these queues or want people to just stop playing them.
So they introduced advanced queues - they broke the system for a whilst and then adjusted it by reigning in the HPs on some NPC's.
People are now getting to learn how to do the advanced queues again, managing their teamwork and learning how to stop failing the mission...and....they go and nerf the rewards and timers.
How is this supposed to help the already dead queues or encourage people to even bother playing PVE anymore?
One Queue to rule them all, One Queue to find them,
One Queue to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
Completed Starbase, Embassy, Mine, Spire and No Win Scenario
Nothing to do anymore.

i play old queuees because i need THOSE marks, and not DR marks ...
also the new stfs are way to complex for random engagements, borg disco always fails cause noone knows what to do, so? i wont do them.
i dont get it? ive never seen that wow forced players into certain raids or what?!
Dr is boring grind, and noone likes it. making old content worse than the new ****, is the MOST WORSE step one could make.
this is madness.
Elite on space, yeah that's still a bit hard, lol, but advanced is doable with a team with a proper setup. Now when i say proper setup, i'm talking the basic setup with proper bridge officers, proper weapon layout and proper power regulation. With that, a ship can easily do 8k dps on ISA. Nothing special, just stuff you can pick up or find on the exchange.
Yes there is, but it's stuffed down in the Tribble section where I doubt many players who aren't using it would think to look.
So there's nothing wrong with bringing to the attention of people in the General Discussion section, where more people will see it.
Anyway here's the link to the other thread:

Why bother? This won't be changed. We might as well just rant in this thread, the end result will be exactly the same.

Yeah, that's my theory. Cryptic wants to weed out WOWers from their games. And as it seems they are succeeding lol.
Game. Set. Match.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

all of them, except crystal are fine to me.
I'm curious to see how crystal rolls out because honestly it was too easy as it is on advanced... way too easy.
and we all knew CSA's changes were coming, you guys knew it was an exploit and we knew that eventually they would swing the hammer on that.
They're reasonable, although Bug hunt's increase in rewards is um... unnecessary, and seems to be an attempt to draw more players to play it even though it's quite well played.
Not everyone want to do DPS speed runs through the PVE queues, I'd hazard a guess and say a lot of players would like missions to last longer to allow for a more epic combat experience if the rewards were balanced to the timer.
I means it really shouldn't take 5 mins to kill the CE! It's supposed to be a massive destroyer of worlds but ok we can kill it in seconds....makes no sense.
All this sort of thing does is encourage speed runs and the arms race for mega-DPS that is doing so much harm to this game.
Bingo, they should remove the timers.
Perhaps a better way of putting it is that non-premade groups will no longer be able to be successful in the advanced queues... Success rate for advanced STFs was already bad and the mantra of "Don't PUG STFs" failed horribly when Gozer designed them to be hostile towards PUGs and it will fail again if the dev team tries going back down that road.
Remember the reason the STFs were drastically changed since their inception? It's because nobody played them due to how they were designed and the dev team is again trying to go back down that road. They're not subtle in their hatred towards PUGs...
If they don't want non-premade groups in STFs, provide an alternative to get the currencies that are only rewarded through advanced and elite STFs... People will just stop playing before they change from being a PUG to premade teams. Is that really what's best for the game?

Let's hope not ... because in the Crypticverse this translates into "Oh look they're playing the game with all their 27 characters, they're obviously having fun"
Besides given the already miserable state of PVE Queues, my guess is most people will just abandon the "remaining" 3 Queues like they did with the ~30 other "dead" Queues ... except "Bug Hunt" maybe ... it's "Bug Hunt & Argala Online" from now on ...
PS : Of course that's all a lie & the Queues are doing just fine ... *sigh*
every t6 ship now costs 30, while a sub based games are around 15. until now, i was able to "sub-fund" all ships to 50% amount, so i was able to buy many ships, if im going to be forced to buy ships full price- i just WONT BUY IT.
outcome: less purchases in store, less real money spend cause ppl will not jump over to buy ships for 30 its TO EXPENSIVE, it always has been and was only slipping through because many players sub-funded theirt ships to a great extend.
this is just a totally wrong direction for every AIM i could guess cryptic/pw may have. sry dudes, it wont turn out the way you want.
best option is to let players subfund purchases, so they spend AT LEAST A PART OF IT with real money.
force players to fully pay 30 and they wont buy a ****in **** anymore.
Now what is the point? Yeah I can join runs in the dps channels, but aside from crystalline and infected I can be waiting around with two other folks for ten minutes. That's not fun. Waiting around to do a simple advanced pve queue is not fun. This incessant obsession with metrics is killing the fun in this game.
Cryptic destroying the "fun" in your game removes any desire for me to play it. It also removes any desire to spend any money on it.
Cryptic Boss: "Our numbers show that our customers aren't experiencing enough of the new content"
Developer: "Yes sir, that seems to be case"
Boss: "So.. force them"
Dev: "But they don't like being forced"
Boss: "My kids don't like being forced into doing things, but it's for their own good, because we're the adults and we know better, besides they usually end up enjoying it anyway"
Dev: "I guess.."
Boss: "Chop chop, I have quotas to meet and accountants to please"
"Cryptic Boss" should learn from his kids, because forcing them to eat Vegetables usually doesn't work .... :P competent parents would try to make Broccoli tasty instead ...
The problem is people need to get there first. And how do you do that.... by playing the queues.
As one person allready said. The game consists of grinding to get good gear so you can do it again with better gear.
Its kind of pointless. I have spent much time keeping players in the game by showing them what the game has to offer other than grinding.
But if this change comes to pass. I will likely leave.
I am a long term player
And i am a big spender in this game. I have even had my zen cap increased.
I keep in touch with old friends in this game. Its how i started playing. If i leave so will they. They have been talking about it anyway. Heck most of my fleet is. This may be the straw that breaks the camels back. For me and perhaps the rest of the poor playerbase
I have finally had enough.
