Hello Everyone,

I wanted to come here and encourage you all by sharing my story of what I have achieved in real life since quitting the game.

1) Going back to the Gym, losing 20lbs, on target for 180 in 6 months!
2) I bought a new ford mustang (omg sooo nice)
3) Setting up to buy my first house :D
4) Taking Skydiving lessons
5) Met a lovely young woman

This post is to encourage you all to do something better with yourself in 2015! Go out, throw a ball with your friends, go to see a movie, or go do something in the real world. Don't get sucked up into the virtual world! Live life my friends!

God Speed and best wishes!

    Sounds made up to me...
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

Alternatively we could do all those things *and* spend a few hours here and there playing a game we enjoy?

That is far too hard for people to do. Like getting a team together to do advanced queued missions.

Congratz on losing the 20 Lbs, and good luck on losing the rest! :)
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Getting out and living life is overrated! haha j/k. Seriously though congrats on your accomplishments. There is more to life than MMOs. Unfortunately though for a lot of people, their game is their life and for them, I feel sad.

I've recently started playing more after barely logging in for a few months. Not that I quit, I merely wanted time to do other things. I had every intention of returning, and lo! Here I am.

Looks like you have yet to achieve #6: waking up.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

ive not done any of that what the op has written and still got a girl who is interested in me, both me and her have similar habits and a rather forgetful memory on some things, she likes her pc games but she is more extroverted then myself, but i have not taken her up on it and being what i am with my mental problems, im disconnected from my own feelings most days so i dont feel anything for her. rather a shame, but i wouldnt risk destroying her life for a hollow friendship that probably wont go anywhere, so leave her run her own life even if its a missed chance i may end up kicking myself over one day. nothing new there.

anyways to me OP, only thing that brings any emotions up to remain connected to is through the computer and while i maybe 27, i already decided my actions and consequently the damage that is already done to myself, that cant be undone. you learn some hard lessons when your in the deep end.

as far as getting away from the computer, there is not much that is going for me out there, the government has me where they want me, trapped in a corner paying rent, bills and food shopping and nothing left for anything else other then a menial job paying tuppence national minimum wage. so unless i get lucky somewhere and win the lottery so i can see the world, retire to some nice tropical place where i can pick up women for some fun and whatever else, i dont see much chance of getting past wasting time with other things which doesnt change the underlying point, what difference does any of it make?

so there it is op, my sad little life, nor do i care to be noticed, just another sheeple making noises. :P

Hey now, it can take time to let these things go. For example it took me months to finally abandon the BioWare forums after the Mass Effect 3 ending fiasco that crushed my soul. :(

    I have to wonder...

Was the OP bragging to us?

OR, was he justifying to himself?

And one other thing. Just how much time was he spending on this game if he got all that accomplished by not playing one game?
