Our patience has one single chance for the fix. It it doesn't fix Thursday, the next patch starts at the end of the event. It must be patched this week and the patch work or the event will need extended until it does. I really do not see them extending it for this, so... patience is out of time. It must be done and done right this patch.
That or they simply leave the "Store" open to claim it after the event ends until it is fixed.

No. What we really need is a bit of meaningful communication. They just hired someone for this, but the only time there is any communication is when there's something to defend Cryptic over or a rumor to quash. Not this player. I don't care if they extend the event itself, leave the claim window only extended, or the patch works Thursday. At this point, I really wouldn't care if they just made all the ships cost 40 autographs.
I would like to have the ships I ran races for 25 days to get, one of which is required on the same two captains that I want to fly in the carrier for me to get the frigate pets. One of those captains ran only 3 races. She doesn't have a chance at all to get caught up to claim the raider. The one who ran 25 to unlock the carrier doesn't have a chance at all to get the raider either. The other two don't need the carrier and really don't need the other two ships either. They have their T5-Us and are geared for the ships they fly. Simply put, I need the raider to finish my carriers.
The last communication from anyone listed a set of symptoms that does not fit my problem. I didn't do the past events. I didn't unlock any ships until this year. I don't have a pre-reputation claim issue. I didn't have a T5-U upgrade done before I claimed the ships. If they have not read and/or considered that first time participators have the same problem as people who claimed their ships over a number of years, they may not include a fix for my particular problem. It's not too much to ask for updated communications, particularly when their symptoms list doesn't fit a large portion of the people with the problem.
I have been patient for 5 weeks since learning I was racing to the end of a broken event and have been telling my peers they have weeks to fix it. Just hang on and it will get done. Now they have 1 week to fix it and haven't said anything about it since before Christmas. They have taken the time to tell us that a investor's note on PWE being bought out is a rumor since they returned and taken the time to comment on other things external to STO.
My patience is running out but it's not making me angry. It's making me wish I could just have a fix or a nod or wink and a little encouragement to know that the problem is not swept under the rug and put off until next winter.
Well, I've been quietly plugging away at the races with my alts, trying to get the needed Glossies to claim each ship. Fortunately, last year I was able to get all but 3 days' worth done on my main (and had the rep project for the ship already started), so I had the Raider on all toons 3 days in. Today, I reached 1000 pics on 2 of my alts. On one, I claimed the Sarr Theln, which unlocked the discount. On the other, the Chel Grett. No discount. Tried the "Talk to Q to get the unlock" suggestion made a while ago, but no dice.
I started playing STO about halfway through the Winter Event that offered the Chel Grett, and by the time I was a high enough level to actually enter, it was almost over, so I never even set foot in QWW that year, so it has nothing to do with Rep System vs Winter Store.
In case someone is trying to keep track of who's getting vs not getting the discounts on which ships, I started the:
Plesh Brek during last year's event, finished it this year (Dec 6 to be precise), and got the unlock,
Sarr Theln Started & finished today, Jan 6, and got the unlock,
Chel Grett Started & finished today, Jan 6, and didn't get the unlock.
Here's to hoping they get this fixed. Fortunately, at least my main can get all the ships, as he's been running the race every day I could play along with the others, so he's just 3 days from the ship w/out the discount.

Excuse me. I need a patch for the Raider too...The only one that seems to work for everyone is the Sar Thelen.
Yep same here, finished the photo farm on 3 characters today, im able to get the reduced rate carrier on all characters, but cant get the reduced rate on the warship or the raider
this really sux b@lls, i mean it isnt like they havn't had the entire event period to look at the issue, and resolve it, but heyho, its what i have come to expect and why i spend so much more time doing other stuff, playing other stuff or just generally scratchin my a*s

Can we have this addressed BEFORE the winter event is over? That'd work for me. I think it would be good for a lot of other players, too.
I wish I had done the raider project on the captain I intended to fly the Carrier instead of on the captain I intended to fly the raider.
Without a T5-U ship I would have just mothballed yet another captain (thanks DR!). Without the right pets the carrier loses a bit of it's luster and now it will, unless they actually patch it, end up on the wrong captain because of the pets.
This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
