Server Disconnecting Multiple times.

About 11:45 AM EST I have been getting constant disconnects. About 30 seconds to a minutes after I log in I get server not responding then disconnected. I gave up after 12:05 EST with like 10th+ disconnect. When I started getting these disconnect I would run Speed Test just to make sure it was not my internet. I was running at my top speed of 12Mbp/s.

Got back on at 12:48. Same issue. I know I am not only one because I saw someone froze running to Tide of Ice before I got server not responding and disconnected. This Is very annoying.

See this thread - http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1192081 and post the results.

Note: Just because your speed tests to a server extremely close to you says 12mb/s does not mean you'll get that speed EVERYWHERE on the internet.

What the heck is going on with the servers??? Apparently there is a bunch of lag an disconnect issue. I was talking to several while I was on the winter event map. So, there are many people experiencing this problem. I am surprise no one else is complaining about this, unless they don't believe Cryptic/PWE is not going to do any thing about this.

Heck one time logging back in the Login server had a issue.

but, it also doesn't mean I be disconnecting every two minutes either!!! My internet provider has not changed for two years. I have been with this game since close beta. I reset my cable modem an router this morning. I was on at 10 AM EST this morning and was fine for a half hour in game. Not having any issues with any other service other then STO. The pings are fine and only 13 hops to patch server. The issue is not the internet and not everyone on the internet is an amateur!

Yes it does. If there is a backbone issue somewhere along the line or you're having packet latency it could cause you to randomly disconnect, have SNR's and the whole 9 yards.

You can also try rebooting your computer/router and see if that helps but without actually doing anything in the sticky that i linked to and posting the results no one can help you.

No it doesn't an I am not the only person with the issue. Most ping are below 50ms. As I said before I restarted my modem and router before I got on this morning and STO is the only service giving the problem and STO has been having the issue the past few days.

Since the last patch and the patch before, there are many many gamers in Europe with server not respondings, lags dcs ect. most at primetime (08:00 pm).
Same here. Some have stopped playing so. Thats very sad.

And yet, we see quite a few with latency issues in between cryptic and them. but if you're unwilling to help narrow it down then I guess nothing will be done. *shrugs*

It's possible the moderator wasn't playing the game at the time and was relying upon the green light to determine the server status. Since the server did crash eventually, his advice wasn't needed. But in nearly every other instance his advice was solid and the only real thing to do in a situation when you're having problems that don't end up with a server hiccup.

Pretty much this. I work a full time job, while also moderating. I can't monitor the servers 24/7 nor would I. It's not my job :P

At the TIME also that you posted, there wasn't any other major signs of a server issue (ie numerous posts about network outages, people with trace routes etc) so I went with what normally is the situation - there is something else wrong.
