Naw, we've all done that a few times so far I think, except for the first few dozen.

    No harm, no foul.

My guess is "hope" keeps people not playing but posting on the forums. For others, its a path of sad realization and closure. Grieving takes time. The worst "haters" here love the game, or did at some point.

Delta Rising is not that bad. Yes, there is room for improvement, but this thread is pretty much a complete over-reaction and reads as a bunch of whiny children not getting their way.

There are a few constructive posts here and a bunch of self-inflated nerds with a sense of entitlement.

I am in no way saying Delta Rising is perfect, but anyone who is ******** obviously wasn't bere for the first 2 years of the game, because it's way better than anything we had back then.

Yeah, because having fun with memes is immediate proof that everybody involved, fits into your pithy view of the player base.
BTW: I've been here since the day the game went live.

The fact that this thread has over 1000 sarcastic replies in less than a week, all showing discontent with DR really should be a neon warning sign to management.

I have never been one to complain on the forums. I've defended the devs and said over and over that they do the best they can within the realm of reason. I'm no malcontent that complains about everything. LoR was FANTASTIC! This expansion missed the mark badly. The story quality was very good, but I would've been disappointed if there were only twice as many episodes as there ended up being, and yes; that is completely fair. Why? Because they said there would be as much content as LoR! LoR had more than 30 new episodes. DR? 9. Yes, 9.
Thanks for the expansion that had "as much content as the last"
    9 Episodes = 30+ episodes...?

I think where it when wrong was way too much emphasis was put on the voice acting and not enough on storyline/mission development. IMHO, they should have pushed back release by at least a quarter. they had plenty of heads up from Tribble that there were issues.

I will not profess to be privy to every scrap of feedback from tribble, but I will go on the limb and place the blame partly on the devs for ignoring the feedback the got, and on the players for not providing feedback the devs need.

the zoomzoom mission sucked andorian sleigh bells is not great feedback.

the zoom zoom mission sucked andorian Sleigh bells but if you did This and That and added something else it would be cool. that would be feedback they can use.

based on what I HAVE read in these forums i suspect the former type of feedback is more prevalent than the latter.

They probably counted replaying content as part of the "new" content. For example, playing Argala 10 times is like playing 10 new episode. In this case, I suppose we have more than with LoR. Other than that, we have 9story mission (+the misions on Kobali) and a bunch of patrol disguised as story mission.
But we are just a bunch of whiner unable to enjoy the hard work they did for us.

In all fairness, I'm pretty sure they were referring to other patrols (like with the Pralor), that offer slightly divergent paths, and randomize a bit on what gets summoned when.

The problem, however, is that they only made Argala worthwhile doing, XP-wise; paying out ca. 17x as much XP as elsewhere, only those already having filled the entire Specialization tree, or the mentally insane, will grind for XP in other places.

Unless you count each patrol as an entire story mission worth of content, which is borderline insulting, you don't have as much content than LoR.
But yeah, you must be right, that's the only explanation. I guess in cryptic eyes, patrol mission like argala are the same length and quality than for example mind games.
