    Let's see then.. they could nerf Dilithium Claims by making them bound-to-character again. Hopefully they'll wait, I have hundreds and I've just decided that I'll be using my poor neglected Alts (who I will never level up) to mine dilithium for me.

    I will go ahead and say what it could be...

    switching maps after snowman defeated, they already slowed it down a bit last year, bet you this year you only get 1 kill credit per 20 hour window.......

    Nah Snowman doesn't reward anything, anyway ... they're just gonna remove the Doff Missions instead ...

    Well all the nerfs seem to center around 'how do we make things take longer to do and force you to focus on single characters and extended playtimes.' Maybe a new 'survival mode to add depth to the game,' where we have to fuel and stock our ships (Is there coffee in that nebula?), or a slowly-replenishing ammunition mechanic (Phasers down to 40% captain!), or maybe just take out Full Impulse to make it take longer to cross a map?

    This is true. Part of me still wonders how.

    I also agree that we should be guessing at what the next cool thing to be added is going to be. There seems to be a consistent air of dread around this forum. There's so little hope for positive change (in the form of non-lazy coding) it seems like the game has already died. It's becoming more and more rare that players are posting about how awesome something is, save the mindless fanboys and whales who seem oblivious to the downward spiral. These days I have to wonder if the whales are the main reason this game still makes money. Vegas-style revolving doors and whale driven economics are not good ways of building a loyal playerbase. All it does is make money in the short term. Once the flow stagnates they'll lose the word of mouth battle. Their player relations department appears to be the same as the marketing department at PWE. I really don't want to see the Star Trek MMO end that way, but it seems it will eventually.
    My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.

    Why not?

    They'll nerf the game into oblivion, and with crashing player numbers D'Angelo and Rivera will no longer be able to hide their breathtaking incompetence from the powers that be. They'll then be out on their ear, and maybe we'll get some non-hacks to replace them?

    Next nerf? I hope a Trident. I've always wanted to be Aquaman ( love the green tights and talking to sushi), but never wanted to hurt anyone....

    Yeah, I hope they nerf Tridents next, that would be something to play with.....

    how about nerfing daily logins? you get one free login per day, and buy additional logins with zen. follow-up nerf will be character switching will be removed temporarily till they find a better solution to the char-switching problem, as that mechanic is ancient and not up to what they want it to be...
    a shinyer version of it will be release some time after the all new and improved exploration missions

    Taking the shield penetration feature out of the Zefram shotty or reduce it to 3%.

    Yea after I upgraded it to MK14 epic because I think it to be the best weapon I ever played with on ground and it reminds me of this painful mirror event I tortured my chars through.

    That is the nerf I see coming.

    They clearly don't want us stockpiling mark boxes, so I assume they'll work out a way to make the choice-of-mark boxes auto-open on pickup. R&D packs would logically follow suit. Event rewards are now exempt from dilithium bonuses, so rep T5 rewards probably will be soon, too.

    I'd assume anything beneficial to players may potentially be on the chopping block.

    Oh, and costumes. We now have two costume categories that have zone restrictions- swimwear and club wear. This can and will get worse. The Space Barbie nerf has already begun.

    i see mats nerf: yesterday i play all grounds + all space missions (adv and elite), summary: 25x rubidium, 33x z-particle...

    then i try duty officer missions and what i get? from 1 assignement (rare/4h) critical hit 1x z-particle, 2nd assignement (rare/6h) ofc critical: 2x rubidium

    this is a joke...

    yeah we get 1-3 v.rary mats guaranted... but not that rare stuff...

    That's not totally unlikely, a 18h cooldown. with a dilithium cost for immediate replay.
    Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...

    maybe the next time, they will add things like:

    - dil cost when you use the tailor
    - dil cost when you beam in-out your ship
    - dil cost when you use the transwarp
    - dil cost, when you choose your character
    - dil cost when you want to write in the forum
    - dil cost to ......................................................................................................................

    I can see the DIL charge for the tailor and transwarp. Let's not forget the aformentioned immediate replay option on cool downs. And a charge on bank use, opening the account bank, and a charge on taking things out of a fleet bank. They'll probably also charge us DIL for each new character we create AND to claim legacy Cstore items with them. There are still possibilities left in this game

    Previously, missions were being too generous with points for tasks that were not critical to missions and too penalizing on tasks that were critical for missions.

    I love how they left out the details of how they came to this conclusion. The notion of them being "too generous" with anything is a farce. This statement pretends to add balance into a BZ that was already good enough. No, it isn't perfect. But it was decent. WAS.
    My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.

    Well if you'd be a reasonable person ... you'd probably assume shootin the Dino at the End is "critical to the mission" (= even more rewards for Dino Tagging ?) ... sadly all I hear is "Nerf, Nerf, Nerf ..." ... maybe, more Marks for Transporter Tagging now ? ... seriously what's "critical" ... because nothing really is ...
