Game Launcher - "Too many attempts; please try again later"

I try to log on this morning and find "Too many attempts; please try again later" after entering my password. I try a few more times and the same result.

I logged off ~8hrs ago and have been on the forums/pwe site to check I can still log in and I can so my password's not been compromised AND changed. I've now changed my password to be safe but this is the first I've seen the message.

I've no clue what I've done which I haven't done for many, many, many days. I'm using the stand alone launcher from my Steam folder though not directly via the Steam Launcher (just on the desktop) and I've not bought anything from Arc in a long time.

Can't think of anything else that seems relevant to this problem but nothing has changed on my computer in a long time especially within the last 8 hours or so when it was switched off.

I guess all I can do is 'try again' later' but naturally I'm concerned as to how and why this has happened.

Okay periodically kept trying and nothing. I've even tried getting my password worng and it's simply not checking it it just says too many attempts, try again later (when is later I don't know).

I've tried logging in to my account guard as I think I had to deactivate it ages ago and it keeps saying incorrect username/password. Ages back Cryptic forced some of us to rename like me who originally had a '_' in his name. I think I then had to add a 1 on the end for forum use so potentially 3 usernames.

However the website says Cryptic or PWE and I've manually logged in to PWE correctly but the site either says incorrect details or my browser has cookies disababled which as far as I know it doesn't and I can see Crytpci.com in the list.

I've tried logging on to an alt account and that gives the same attempts error.
