We're pleased to announce that Earth Spacedock's Club 47 will be opening its doors soon! Looking for fun and excitement? Turn up the music and enjoy your shore leave!
My Federation Captain is a husk after waiting 6 months in line for this to happen. Of course, she is a Liberated Borg and doesn't look any different, but delaying Club 47 has caused far too much destruction since my Captain was busy waiting for Club 47 to open instead of saving the galaxy. I try to convince her that she should out of her seat and bust some heads, but there is no convincing her to get her priorities straight.
Awesome news amidst the disaster that's been DR otherwise for me.
The environment is one of the aspects I still like in this game. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see Club 47 ingame.
The first rule of any successful club is that it starts and ends with the music. Ambiance is one thing, but when the music motivates your patrons to dance, and then drink excessively, you have a formula for a cash machine.
Edit: Just realized in a culture where money isn't the primary driving factor, a successful club may be judged by different criteria. Getting drunk and having fun - that will never grow old
Different nights, different music?
Theme parties? - oh yeah, I went there.
Kudos on the new design. It looks great from the pictures.
Maybe we could get some of the online trek radio DJ's to host parties
the clash of orange, purple, green and blue with maybe some red, in bright colors. i wouldnt want to be in that club for very long, the eye strain would be a bit much. in any event, at the beginning of the year when taco made his intentions known about club 47 at some point. so its interesting to find out from writing about it on the forum and potential ideas from the community to finished product took all of about 10-11 months to bring forward. see if it will be worth it, i hope its in the location taco was looking for, near the med bay and transporter pad.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

Graet a club.. instead of fixing the glitched in the game or providing real customer service ..yea i see hoe this important,,,,
1.. fix glitches
2.. fix quables so people that are under geared can't mess things up for the rest of us that are geared
3..provide real customer service..and stop treating people that spend money on the game like 2 year olds
Those 3 things would make me happy not a stupid club

Oh oh oh.. and another extra account created just for ranting.
The screenshots in the blog look amazing! I've been looking forward to your redesign of the club going live, Taco, as I love the new ESD interior and am looking forward to having somewhere nice to show off my dance emotes haha.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!

I'm sure the environment artists, and concept artist's Bug squashing duties have been majorly impacted by their spending time on developing the Environment of the game
In other words, doing the job they are on the pay role for.
Or would you like people with no formal training in any of those formentioned issues doing the job instead of somebody who is qualified and paid to do it

Music, being the centerpiece around why people gather in dance clubs, is a primordial key feature to suceed in this revamp.
For a future addition later in the decade, it would be cool to have holiday week-end events in Club 47. Realistic stroboscopic FX, lasers and smoke would improve the immersion experience.

I will always choose a lazy person to do a difficult job...
So is a door from the Club to the Captain's Table still on the, uh, table?
So, this is still the plan, but is not implemented yet. We were about to do it, but decided that we didn't want to do that change JUST for the Feds. So we're waiting on that until we can also update the doors for the Klingons and Romulans. Sorry about that.
There is a door in C47 designated for this though, so it's still planned.
Pictures in the blog look very cool, can't wait to see it in game. And special thanks for the extra space away from the dance floor.
No problem, that was one of the main goals we had in mind. Our audio guy, Drew did a good job with this. If you're on the Disco side, you get full music. If you're in the Cantina (middle) you just get the thumping bass, as if the music is next door. And if you're in the Lounge, the music all but fades away. Should provide options for everyone.
If I refuse, are you going to start a bar fight?
There are a couple of bouncers who will be happy to escort you out of the club, should it come to that.

"Good" is subjective. However, there is new music. Several new tracks in fact. They will cycle between each other on a randomized timer. So it won't be different music each night, but hopefully will add some variety.
Remember, the Federation is dry. They've got Synthehol. No one's getting drunk. . .

Yes, the entrance is in the same place I pointed out, half way up the big circle ramp, in the bubble room. That room got a bit of a face lift though.
I'm really loving this new look for the club! Excellent work Taco and Hector! I'm really impressed!
And just a suggestion to add to what jocelyn2 mentioned above...
How about daily Dance mini-missions something like what we've got on Nimbus III? With rewards like new emotes or even like 5 fleet marks or something small like that?
All I'm suggesting is to give this awesome creation a "Purpose" to non-role players. Like I said, just a suggestion but either way, you guys have done one hell of a job on Club 47!

Always thought he is a monster. A MONSTER ON DA DANCEFLOOOOR
ahm... sorry. I will go along. Just the street down there...
And welcome to Hector.
THIS!
I really hope there is new and improved music.
Now this would just be perfect if we could just buy Nerve Tonics straight from the Club bar.
Taco, will the club feature a variety of music soundtracks?

All Hail Tacofangs, bringer of the party!

Oh oh oh.. and another extra account created just for ranting.
How may we help you finding your path in here?
Tacofangs, thank you for not giving up on the Club!
The pics in the blog look great! Really excited to see it open!

Good thing Taco's job isn't any of that.
EXCELLENT WORK CRYPTIC !!!

...because he will find an easy way to do it.
