    I quit too.

I am tired of reading "I quit" threads, therefore, I will no longer be reading any until the time comes that the next one is posted next weekend.

    See y'all in game sometime.

I don't get the point of I quit threads, if someone is actually quitting, have a little class, act like an adult and just leave without all the petty theatrics.
If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.

Well, nabreeki's posting so I'm sure if anything catastrophic comes up, he can just call in a couple of mods in his fleet chat, the somethingawful forums, or, if need be, log into his dev account.

    ;-)

Hey , since this post is from the Mirror Universe , we can talk all we want about quitting , but it is forbidden to talk about returning players ... ! :P

why is it when people know they shouldnt create "i quit" threads, they do it anyways?

if your gonna quit then quit and none of us need to know the reason why. one day when you feel like it, return to the game at some other point when your upto it.

in any event its getting reported.

From a quote by The kurgan in Highlander : It's better to burn out than fade away

I don't see nothing wrong with people saying I quit to show that they are done. It acts as some type of closure for them. their is many I quit threads he could of did it in though. If it was me and I wanted to quit I would of did it in one of the threads that wouldn't of faded away like this one will.

The thing is, if someone gets as far as even debating an "I Quit" thread the business whose service they are quitting has already failed.

It is basic management - customers should be kept happy. Even on a forum, biased in favour of those with issues inherently, should be a roughly 30:70 split between unhappy/happy.

But when a thread asking "Would you recommend STO to a friend?" has responses completely, overwhelmingly negative, the forums are ablaze with people having problems, and people are leaving in droves, questions need to be asked about why is stuff like this, and what can be done to solve it.

Not just flaming those who are leaving, or borderline leaving, and calling them terrorists.

Actually the thing is that no one needs to make an i quit thread unless they are a small attention seeking child.

If someone was honestly quitting and wanted to genuinely let people know who they felt they owed it to because of in game relation, then they could quietly and more personally send them in game or private messages.

Rather than some ridiculous melodramatic closure piece for a ****ing video game. Its absolutely pathetic. If you don't want to play, say your goodbyes on a personal level to anyone you feel it necessary and leave. Its a video game not a soap opera. Airing your dirty laundry to the whole forum is just a massive cry for attention and a lot of regular people find it cringeworthy.

Most people don't give a flying **** if you don't like the game how it is. In all honestly, the OP is probably simply another patrol exploit farmer too salty because they took all his exploited spec points.

truthfully no one needs to post a I quit thread as much as someone that post in one that doesn't care for them. wouldn't that be attention seeking too? the thread did say I quit and if you don't like them simply don't go in them.

He might have a point that the devs dont really care about fixing there own game.

Im really disappointed that they still going by tribble patch notes i read yesterday that the rom boff trainer still does not work. I spent 3000 zen on a intel ship and i cant use it to its full potential ive gone back to my fleet Ar'kiff on that

    Bye bye BYE

Sure he has a point. Entire endgame feels broken and can only be run atm if peeps have access to organized elite channels for the respective stuff to do. And even then its hardly fun.

I have spend some time in game over the weekend and the situation is really bad. Players are frustrated no mater if they are new or seasoned STO veterans.

If they are frustrated for too long they will leave and if too many of my in game friends are gone I’m out as well. It’s as simple as that and 60 free lobi and a dil weekend do not change that.

The entire expansion feels like a total loss of things we had in STO and not as an addition to a well running game with some minor flaws.

Well, Trendy and Smirk have been dropping hints that they're goons.

Smirk cracks himself up five or so times every livestream talking about trapping people on bridges and killing them and Trendy makes somethingawful forum references like "gently caress" as a euphemism.

Plus, there are other reasons why I'd say they have devs in there.

I figure there's about even odds that Nabreeki is Al Rivera. ;-)

I agree with the uselessness of "I quit" threads, because of the chaos they can cause.

But it's also considered poor form to announce that you are reporting a thread/post.

    Just saying.....

What sort of game forbids and censors negative feedback in their community, to the extent that people are forced to make an active effort to post while moderators are away just to be heard?

You don't have to answer. Just think about it for a bit.

Not negative feedback, just unnecessary drama-mongering and attention seeking. There are plenty of ways to voice criticism other than screaming "I QUIT" and throwing your toys out of the cot, and it's not exactly necessary to announce to the world that you aren't gonna play this game any more.

No, of course not, write a polite email suggesting changes and leave quietly.

That will certainly garner better results.

Apparently screaming and yelling works better so people use it.

Since nobody reads it shouldn't you be playing the game or gone quietly?

    You can't multi-task?

When I'm logged in I toggle between STO, the forum, an ebook, 2-3 browser games, while playing music, a movie, or an audio book in the background. Currently listening to the latest episode (released stateside) of Doctor Who on itunes.

Is it not a shame that you have to do all of that to pass the current grind?
