why is it when people know they shouldnt create "i quit" threads, they do it anyways?
if your gonna quit then quit and none of us need to know the reason why. one day when you feel like it, return to the game at some other point when your upto it.
in any event its getting reported.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.
He might have a point that the devs dont really care about fixing there own game.
Im really disappointed that they still going by tribble patch notes i read yesterday that the rom boff trainer still does not work. I spent 3000 zen on a intel ship and i cant use it to its full potential ive gone back to my fleet Ar'kiff on that
Guys, seriously. We're being mean. OP ranted because he's really important to the game, and if he's mad, and leaves, the whole game falls apart! We need to take this seriously and try to placate him so Star Trek Online will be around tomorrow.

Can you please speak for your self? I have no problem when people want to tell why thy quit.
I cant keep acting like this game is ever gonna get better its not and if cryptic doesnt care enough about their own game to take the time to fix it cryptic knows where they can stick this game
I don't understand your use of spaces. And I highly doubt Cryptic OR PWE give a **** about you, me, or any of their players.
My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.
you know my question wasnt a question at all, it was one of those rhetorical questions. im not gonna debate it, thats crossing the line, but just so you know.

I suspect that for every thread like this, there are probably at least a few people who do legitimately quit without so much fanfare. You cannot deny that Cryptic has a serious reputation that hasn't been helped much by the last week's events.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
What's wrong with "I quit" threads? I genuinely don't understand this. They serve a useful purpose - if players are leaving, then Cryptic needs to know it and why. If customers are actually leaving, not just grumbling, then that's something that Cryptic will take seriously - so long as they know what's causing it. And they won't if people just leave silently and don't say anything, as this forum seems to think they ought to. (I've heard it said that it's a rule of thumb in some firms that for every one customer that's complaining, there are 10 who couldn't be bothered to say anything and just took their custom elsewhere.)
Unfortunately, in this case the O.P. forgot to mention why he was leaving, but nice try. To precis another thread of his: Because you can't even get at the new Delta Rising episodes without spending hours grinding to gain extra levels, and he doesn't like grinding and wants to be able to just play story missions. Also: Because he thinks they bungled the exploit thing.

They are against the rules because they always turn into flame threads.
It's not myfault ifyoufeel trolledbymyDisco ball...Sorry'boutit.
Why do the people who do these threads think any of gives a TRIBBLE about what they do?
Dear OP and all other "I quiters". You are not important and nobody cares whether you are playing STO or not. Nobody notices your absence whether announced or not.
what's the difference? the op probably has 4 other ftp accounts that he uses to post on the forum. he probably replied to himself in this thread using one of his other accounts just to help solidify his new cover.
Oh, against the forum ToS? I get you. Makes sense in some ways. (Cryptic loses some customer feedback that way, but that's their choice.) But it still seems odd that it reliably causes such disgust and fury from the *forum members*. It's not their ToS, it's no skin off their nose!

A player never truly quits unless they delete all their characters. Most I Quit threads are I am taking a break from the game and I might be back. There has to be some symbolic gesture made to show that they are quitting and never coming back. Creating I Quit threads doesn't do that.

Congratulations, the first rational thing you've said on these forums
I call it, the Stoutes paradox.
Im really disappointed that they still going by tribble patch notes i read yesterday that the rom boff trainer still does not work. I spent 3000 zen on a intel ship and i cant use it to its full potential ive gone back to my fleet Ar'kiff on that
Bye bye BYE
Ok. See you back in game tomorrow!
While people are bashing him/her for making this thread, the reality is that everyone's followup reply does not matter. ...and, that is the point.
On the flip side of the coin, Cryptic will most likely close the thread.
Its okay to think differently.
Its okay for the OP to speak his/her mind.

If he really quiting why would he give a Dam what the TOS says?
thats what private messaging is for.

You use those words as if they are bad things.
(I guess to undesirable people they probably are.)

I vote this as the most truthful post of the past year
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
Bye dude. The rest of us will keep on, hoping it gets better, but I think deep down we all understand why.

Entirely false.
