XMPP issue

Since yesterday, i've been unable to use channel chat. I'm using Pidgin on W7U. Fleet chat still works fine, but when i attempt to get the list of chat channels, the client totally disconnects from the server. Anyone else experiencing this or have any possible fixes?

edit: and i posted in the wrong forum, i meant to go to pc/tech issues.
