Why is the NX-01 a T1 ship, while D'Kyr and Kumari are both T5? All are from the mid-22nd century. Shouldn't all 3 be T1? There is a T1 version of the Kumari but those are specially obtained from Neverwinter Nights pack, not available anymore. Even then if there is a T1 version of a T5 ship then by that logic D'kyr should also have a T1 version and the NX-01 a T5 version.
If there is an official explaination of these discrepancy by DEVs point me in to the post or post the link.
The first Belfast was commanded by Captain Ve'Kal Shon until its destruction in 2409. A new ship was commissioned bearing the same name and registry as special dispensation to then newly promoted Captain Edward XIII for his pivotal role during the renewed Dominion War.
The NX- in STO is a 25th Century historic remake (otherwise it would be T0 if it was Archer's NX-01) and the T1 Kumari is the same class as Shran's actual Kumari.
The Xindi ships, D'Kyr and Kumari-Class are 25th Century designs that are... well, alien built. who knows what runs through their minds when they build ships.
Vulcan's just use the same designs updated with latest stuff, so there are no more 22nd Century D'Kyrs, Andorians made a completely fresh design and named it after Shran's ship, Xindi... Who knows.
Biggest problem with a T5 NX-01 is the lack of shields... Kind of blows all the endgame sets up...
Unless you go 100% "looks like NX, but built with all the 25th Century perks"...
I still champion the NX becoming an alt skin for the Akira escort, and getting the Connie into T5/6 as a science ship (to round out classes like Intrepid = Science ship...)
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

How many times does everyone have to be told that they won't make a T5 or T6 constitution? They will not do it because CBS said no

The reasoning that "who knows what runs through aliens minds" to justify them having the same design for 200 years... BUT with updated systems, is just a copout lol. Humans can do the same thing, same design with updated systems. Especially with the UFP founding member species sharing technology and all.

Ahem
It's a world of laughter, a world of tears
It's a world of hopes and a world of fears
There's so much that we share that its time we're aware
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world
There is just one moon and one golden sun
And a smile means friendship for everyone
Though the mountains divide and the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all

Yep, we could. And we did.
"Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission..."
"...to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life, and new civilizations..."
"...to boldly go where no man has gone before." - Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Captain James T. Kirk, and Captain Jonathan Archer.
Really, right from the start of our species time, we have strived for progress and new horizons. In spirit, there is no difference between those ancient Stone age days when exploration meant wandering to the next valley, to the 1400s when exploration meant sailing around the world, to the 1960's and the drive to put mankind on the moon, to tomorrow where Mars and beyond beckon, to the future when our descendants walk among the stars.
Does that mean our past accomplishments are invalid? Course not. Does it mean we should stop there, resting upon our laurels? Course not. Does it mean that in due time when these achievements are less significant, we should stop, and keep going back to them? Yes - they exist now to pass the torch on to new efforts, to inspire these new efforts, to remind us of our nature as a race of explorers.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

It's been a long road, gettin' CBS to hear.
It's been a long time, and new ships come every year.
But we're see our dreams come alive at last: classic ships to fly.
They're not gonna hold us down no more, they'll make them all tier-5.
Cause I've got faith in the art, my Miranda' can opt CSE.
I've got faith to believe, a Connie can do anything.
I've got strength in the hull, of a T'liss with a big torpedo.
My Oberth still flies apart... but I've got faith. Faith in the art.

I think of the NX-01 flying around as some kind of Starfleet historical program. "Hey, remember how it all started."
Just don't remember that terrible song.

That is what they did with the T1 Kumari for its T5 version xD
Agreed. What dreams may come
