PC Hardware: Upping 'horsepower'

OK, so back before City of Heroes went off into that good night, I spent a lot of time on the forums there. There were quite a few very knowledgeable people who helped with hardware suggestions. One of the things I miss most was one frequent poster who had two public rigs set up on newegg.com - one was about a $600 build, the other was a $1000-ish build. Anyway, it was possible to get opinions on hardware choices and ideas on fixing technical issues - not just with the game but just in general.

Perhaps folks like that are on this tech forum, but all I see is posts about lag and connectivity. Are hardware advice posts just being pushed out by the other posts?

    For general computer advice, your best choice is to go to a dedicated tech forum, like this one... http://www.tomshardware.com/

    Yep, I recommend Tomshardware as well.
