The "All leveless Lobi Store Ground and Space Equipment will now stop scaling once the player reaches level 50." seems like a low blow. If these weren't intended to scale beyond level 50, then they shouldn't have been levelless. You guys deserve the fall out that is going to come from that as those items can be very expensive to obtain.

It seems very odd to stop the scaling of Lobi weapons at 50, especially if you expect people to keep buying them. It sounds like there's an alternate plan for these items, but it had better be good.

I guess we'll be able to upgrade the Lobi stuff to level 60... with additional ressources, of course.

    Agreed, cookiecrook.

"More information will be available soon explaining how these items can bstill be viable for level 51 – 60 content." -- I'm envisioning two things: 1.) Lobi Store sale, to get players to purchase Lobi Store specific items before Delta Rising; and 2.) creating a T5-Upgrade type of costs on Lobi Store purchased items.

And if this nickel-and-dime approach to getting more monies from players is attempted, then there is going to be massive fall out. All Lobi Store purchases (due to the high cost involved to obtain them via Lobi in lockboxes) should automatically be level-less.

They sell us a item that have the especific infinit symbol and now they change that?? Cryptic you fantastic..

I didnt buy MK XI or MK XII or even MK XIV stuff, I buy a item that scales with me when I lvl up, and now you change that? Well done cryptic, keep insulting your player base.

Could You fix Omni beam bug?

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/co8mf46ndjfkicf/omni_beam_bug.jpg?dl=0

If I put weapon into rear weapon slot, weapon is using rear weapon banks to attack targets in front of my ship (If I put it into front slot, it is using front banks to attack rear targets) - it look cmpletely TRIBBLE. Bug don't affect Omni beam from Ancient Obelisk set - this beam work correct, choosing central upper orr central lower weapon bank to attack front targets (if put in rear weapon slot).

So I take it this will also apply to all of the other level-less gear in the game like my very-expensive Spiral Wave Disruptors, plasmonic leech, point defense system, etc., Nanopulse weapons, and mission rewards like the Tractor Mine launcher and Breen Cluster Torpedo?

Because if premium Lobi gear stops leveling, I see no reason why Cryptic would be gracious enough to allow all of the uni consoles and other lesser free uni gear to continue leveling either.

"More information will be available soon explaining how these items can bstill be viable for level 51 – 60 content." does not inspire any confidence.

Ok, i have all 9 lobi guns, and 6 lobi consoles, that is almost 2000 lobi.
Epic news, not only that they will stop scaling but i wont even get EC if i vendor trash them

I hope you guys have something good for them that doesnt involves me spending more $$$

There is way to upgrade existing gear... I have received upgrade rewards to apply to some upgrade system that you use with a piece of gear but the upgrade system isn't on tribble yet. So there is definitely going to be a way to improve existing gear.

I tend to agree that the levelless items will more than likely have an upgrade token associated with it. I imagine it will be a nominal cost that is intended to be much cheaper than ship upgrades. If ship upgrades are 500-1000 Zen, then I would suspect the Lobi cost would be kept at less than 200 zen (i.e. 1-2 lockboxes). If that is true, I think, at most, we'd be seeing a 5-10 lobi cost for upgrading, probably less.

But this is all just rampant speculation at this point.

You're missing the point. This gear is "infinitely" leveling, which means it should continue to level until 60. Expending resources on upgrade shouldn't be needed. As Tucana66 said, this smells of nickel-and-diming. That, or "players are unworthy and don't deserve to be instantly good at level 60, they must grind" because 'unfair advantage' or 'they didn't earn it' or something, just like how the old R&D progress did not transfer from the old system into into the new system.

Something looks "off" on the new Delta Quadrant areas. If the systems are structured north to south, wouldn't New Talax be near the bottom?

On the other side of that coin it smells of entitlement to think that your gear will automagically be made 10 levels more powerful just because you got 10 more levels with no effort on your part. No other MMO does that. Most don't even let you level your stuff, you get to toss it and earn it all over again.

Confirmed. I got an 8th slot but no tail gun.

Also this bug still affects sector space in the Delta Quadrant:

I see it more as putting all the gear on the same page and streamlining the gear into the same leveling process above 50.

(The crafting systems you mention were so totally different as I crafted up a person in 3 days on the old system to max level prior to conversion for the accolade. This new system is a totally different beast and takes more time to level [2 weeks to level 9 so far in one category.] It would not have been fair to even compare the two let alone give someone crafting kudos beyond what they did.)

I think this is all for the better and will make the game more solid and make sense where things didn't before. Incidentally, the new rep gear for the delta rep is all mk xii so I'm assuming at this point to get higher level it will need upgraded as well or they aren't finished with it yet.

It's not entitlement. It's infinitely leveling. It levels infinitely. It levels as you level. Leveling up makes the gear level up with you.

Therefore the automatic and completely natural expectation is that it should continue to level. If they didn't want gear to do that they should never have introduced infinity gear in the first place.

Entitlement is all of the players that whine that they don't get a free upgrade for their T5 ships, or that whine that their XII gear is obsolete and doesn't automatically get better. Infinity gear, by its very nature, is designed to automatically get better. It is its own category of gear.

Perhaps. We shall see when the "more information" comes. I'm still skeptical and do not like this turn of events.
