I am sick and tired of people complaining that the Zen ships they own are not a free upgrade to full T6. You paid for a T5 ship, and that is what you received. You certainly did not pay for T6, therefore you shouldn't get your free T6 upgrade since you didn't pay for it. It is perfectly logical and correct for cryptic to charge for T5-U, then your ship is EXACTLY WHAT YOU PAID FOR! I'm content with paying Zen to upgrade. Oh that means pay to play? LIES. You can get your zen with this little ingame currency called Dilithium. What's that? Play a few STF's and see! But the zen to dil ration is too high! Well that's your own danged fault for waiting so long to convert. This has been long coming, and completely obvious that Cryptic would do that, its their pattern. Coulda saved up!
But T6 ships will disrupt MUH PLAYSTYLE! stop. just effing stop. shutup. I cannot tell you how often the Devs have told us that T6 WILL NOT MAKE T5 OBSELETE. YOU WILL BE FINE. STOP SAYING THAT YOU WON'T.
Also: this is a business. They have to make money so you can keep your little free to play. if everyone got T6 for free, they couldn't make money to keep the game going.

That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...
Another case of another newbie that doesnt even know how cryptic does things and he feels the "right" to complain about complains lol. Great. And ZZZZ. First, stay here for a while to see that cryptic doesnt even need to sell T6 ships, they have more than enough money. Second, stay here for a while to realize that is the regular way of doing things for cryptic, just selling everything. Its not about money actually, it is just the way they do things. We could say, they are "used to it" xDDD.
Forums exist to provide a channel of communication between devs and players.
What players decide to communicate unfortunately falls prey to personal agendas. Those (in the full expression of human social intelligence) try to force the professionals controlling a mass entertainment product (ie. cryptic or any other dev with noticable influence) to cow to a particular point of view (ie. the stated interests of the "community") supported by a few like-minded individuals via loaded, show-front arguments about how the apparently "united" voice of said "community" stands as popular condemnation of the terrible job said professionals are doing (and the only escape is to follow the directions/instructions of those doing the whining.)
Simply put its exaggerated pressure (creating the appearance of something more substantial) applied by a small number of people who wouldn't otherwise be able to exert any meaningful influence on a dev or (more importantly) its managed population. Compulsive forum whining is part inter-personal cooperation, part intra-group power play.
Such drama happens everywhere (because its simply the function of members of species A being applied to environmental triggers B and the lack of any restraining factor C that might exist in a more natural venue for human communication) and I wouldn't take any notice of it (beyond an academic interest.)

You entire thread is a contradiction in and of itself. A Complainer complaining about the complainers
As all things that came before that had the label of extreme controversy, time will pass and all will be well, for the cries will die out very soon. Trust me, it will past like all fads of complaints.
Around these parts we jump to conclusions first, base our feedback solely on knee-jerk reactions and unrealistic levels of paranoia and cynicism second, and get fake outraged third.
And then anyone who points that behavior out gets called a Cryptic fanboy.
...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.

LOL, i see it a lot of times everyday, specially when a new patch is going on. Just visit the patch notes thread, and you will see there a lot of cryptic defenders. I call em, just cryptic workers (because only someone who works for cryptic will say such dumb things).

You forgot your lol on the end, but then I noticed you put it on front. You can ignore this post.

How the dangerous question: can you tell the difference?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Around these parts we jump to conclusions first, base our feedback solely on knee-jerk reactions and unrealistic levels of paranoia and cynicism second, and get fake outraged third.
And then anyone who points that behavior out gets called a Cryptic fanboy.
Aint that the truth.
No wonder the devs ignore the majority of the community.
I'm also new here, not many posts but am not rude and like to think I consider things in a reasonable way.
I've requested a couple of things and had a formal response from one dev saying the complexities of actioning it, my reply was that I understood and thanked them for the reply.
A little courtesy goes a long way.
Sadly from my limited time on this forum, I largely agree with the OP.
Unfortunately this means the point of devs ignoring the community becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.
Quite frankly the community has no one to blame but itself.
Tacofangs came out and said the Devs don't even listen to us though.

Or a Cryptic defender.

When you start taking what devs say out of context and try peddling it as fact, you give them even more reason to not listen to us.
Good thinking OP.
Not surprising given some of the stupid ideas that come up on the forums.

I am not expecting a change. Though I may be targeting certain individuals, I do not expect anyting to change. this is the internet after all.
