Of course but you need to have a sufficient amount of DPS to be effective period. Unless you take on a pure support role.

And a Bastion wouldn't be a bad choice for it, at least until DR hits.

Also, as Askray references a husband way back on page two, it would be logical to assume female player perhaps?

or he's maybe, you know, TRIBBLE?
Like special weapons from other Star Trek games? Wondering if they can be replicated in STO even a little bit? Check this out: https://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1262277/a-mostly-comprehensive-guide-to-star-trek-videogame-special-weapons-and-their-sto-equivalents

Balance of probabilities. Man-man is far less common than woman-man (or man-woman) so therefore it is a safer assumption.

    MMORPG aside.

I made a page JUST for ray and posted it in his *cough cough* duplicate thread.

Askray's very own page. Sort of. Inspired by.

He was so flattered he forgot to comment on it. What a rascal.

I've actually kept up with both threads and trying out a few things for both builds. :)

As for my orientation, yes I am TRIBBLE, yes I'm married to an awesome guy and no, it isn't anyone's business but I don't hide it. :)
Yes, I'm that Askray@Batbayer in game. Yes, I still play. No, I don't care.

Askray... you should try VPvP. It is easy to get into and learn about PvP with.
I ask nothing but that you remember me.

Actually the VPvP was something I was kinda oooo about. Sadly, due to security reasons, I can't join on my private account (the one that's tied to this name). I DO have another name but I have to get a character leveled up on it first.

Can't :P and while yes, I can use the other account I just need time to build up a character.

Try building two for it-one Fed, one KDF, and build them with lots of divergence (say, a cruiser on one, and a BoP on the other). It'll broaden your horizons and the leveling process isn't exactly difficult, but that way you'll be able to apply the experiences playing one to the strategies you use on the other, which will make you a more well-rounded player over all.

That's what I did. I kept getting killed by BoPs in kerrat a few years ago, so I went out and made a Klingon in a b'rel. It was fun and very informative.
