Mirror Ships Guessing

gofasternowgofasternow Member Posts: 1,390 Arc User
Okay, we all know what the Lockbox is, but I don't care about that! I care about the Mirror Ships inside!

While I know we only got a few hours before this all drops, how about we take a guess at what might be inside. My guess?

Fed: Saber
KDF: K'tinga

Why does the mirror have to mirror our ships? The mirror was for the people, not ships. There ha only been two instances of that universe having a mirror ship with prime, the NX and the Neg'var. in the case of the Neg'var, they had it first.

I'd love to see unique designs or mirror first ships.

Terran Empire - been copying Federation tech for decades.

    Mirror Klinks - no idea.

Mirror Roms - we don't even know if they exist, apart from a one liner from Sisko no one questioned, so Cryptics interpretation is just as valid as anyone else's.

If it is Sabre, T'Varo and Kitang I need to start saving EC...

Didn't they have more than those two? I remember seeing the old Constitution, BoPs, Vor'Chas, Galors, a few bajoran ships etc... on the shows.

I doubt they'd make a mirror Galor, as the Galor is a lockbox ship itself.
And they did release a Mirror Vor'cha already.

I didn't include the Connie or Defiant because the dust develop them, they stole them from the Prime universe. I also only included the Terran and Klingons because those are the only ones we've seen. As for the Vor'Cha, I must have missed that. Looks like I'll have to watch the DS9 mirror episodes again... What a shame ;)

Idea! How about giving the Klingons an Alliance uniform pack? Mirror Worfs outfit, mirror Garek and of course the Intendants outfits... Make them just for Klingons, this way we can here the Feds moan about us having an outfit that they want (Indendants). Fun times there!

How about a Mirror Ar'Kif that is NOT a half baked Carrier, and has 4 + 4 Weapons, with around 8~10 Turn rate?

they could adjust the current one to be the mirror one (change the name, add an alliance prefix + the kdf or a new cardie mirror skin)

it would free the normal Galor slot for the hypothetical Cardassian faction

You know what would be awesome:

A Patrol Escort... With a NX skin xD
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

I actually like this idea. It gives a mirror galor and it provides an explanation for all the non-cardassian faction galors flying around once X2 hits.

Mirror Galaxy, a tactical Galaxy would be very nice
Mirror B'rel, would be very nice indeed
Mirror D'deridex, would love to see a mirror take on the iconic Romulan warbird

I want a mirror Connie. Yes I know it'd have to be tier 1/2, I don't care. I still want one.

A mirror BoP is nice though.

because its cheaper to steal plans from the federation than try to re-build the tech-base for advanced RnD.

the Klingons and Romulans mirror empires are more or less the same as prime, so obviously they will use the same ships... plus a bunch of their in use designs pre-date contact with Humanity (the first difference between prime and mirror)

Well that in canon but for why the only thing the mirror universe seems to be able to do is change the paint you have to look at what you need to wind the production designers up with in order for them to churn anything out (money/peanuts and time. The shows had limited supplies of both.)

i meant in-universe. The Alliance probably destroyed the Frisco, Utopia and other Terran shipyards and development sites, either during their initial conquest or as a scorched earth policy, and its unlikely they would have let any intelligent Terrans or other slave races stay in the general population.

The mirror lot probably dont have the tech or knowledge base to really design ships for themselves, but they do know where there are masses of schematics for high quality ships, and infiltration simply means finding the alternate of one of the staff

Well that's true but only in the context of DS9. Earlier terrans had the opportunity to design their own ships but they still went with the contstitution or NX class (though maybe they hung a gotee somewhere around the front of the hull. :P)

Anyway I do see your point (I just referred to it as the "canon" explanation) but I just wanted to stress the real reason we didn't get any variety in the mirror designs.
